FUNCURLS FOOD DIARY, BLOG and CHIT CHAT!! New target set!!

Loving Thursday's food Hev, and the lime, chilli and corriander marinated chicken - did you make that yourself?

Also do you think the Acti-fry is worth investing in? I know it is really expensive. I wonder how much I would use it.

How's Sunday treating you, are you working? Hope you have a good day xx

Hi Hev - your menus always sound so delish and I can't believe how much you eat - you are so tiny where you do pack it all or are all your meals noveau cuisine!

Please come and cook for me

Thanks for the compliments Donna!!! Well I wouldn't say I'm tiny- I don't feel it!! But I also surprise myself at how much I can eat and still lose or stay around target!! I really think the secret is this food optimising lark! I do have my syns, and sometimes more (like choccygate yesterday and chippy after WI tonight-eekk!!!) But most of the time I just eat plenty of lean meat, fish, veg, fruit, eggs, yogurt really!! But treats are really important too! And I don't drink, which I think helps! I'm quite active in work too- got a really 'on the go' job! How are you doing hun? XXX

Hi Red,

The lime, coriander and chilli chicken escalopes were actually a quick buy from Tesco- they were in the reduced section and I thought- well that's tomorrow's work food sorted!! Would be soooo easy to make yourself though!! Yes the Actifry is a total lifesaver for me!! Funny you should ask as I just got back from class and my C said she'll bring hers in next week and do a demo during image therapy!! It's so quick and you don't have to think about pre-heating the oven etc! It's great for chips, SW roasties, roast parsnips, stirfry veg, sausages- I don't use it to it's full advantage but I do use it often- probably once or twice a week and Dai uses it too when I'm in work- a few potatoes- we don't even peel them first!!

I worked a 12.5 hour shift yesterday but I've been off today XXX

Hey hun, lovely to have you properly back!! It sounds a topsy-turvy me saying that doesn't it, as you've left the country, but you're 'back'!!!

I'm a bit disorganised re. tomorrow's wedding!! Our choir are singing 2 songs in the ceremony- 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love With You' (it's a surprise for the bride and groom- their parents (our friends) have organised it!) I need to brush up a bit on them today as I haven't been able to get to the last two rehearsals! And I wanted to get my hair done, but cash flow is really poor at the mo after all our money going out on the latest roof job on next door cottage so I've gone without!! And I still haven't made a final decision on my outfit!!!

Plan for Fri 11th May 2012. Day off yaayy!!

Late breakfast (long lie-in!)-
35g porridge (HEXb) with 150 ml semi skimmed milk (just over 1/2 HEXa). A sliced banana.

Lunch- Asda veg chilli (from tin- free!) with Birdseye Rice Infusions- aromatic pilau with spinach and peas (2.5 syns).

Tea- to be arranged.....
