omg whats in the 160 syn cake???!!!! thats mental!

well done you for working it out!!! xxxx

I know!!! I was shocked!!! Bloody Nigella!!! It would have been easy to turn a blind eye to it but I thought if I worked it out at least I know where I stand and where I need to cut back over the weekend!! It was 200g ground almonds =56 syns, 100g polenta = 18 syns, 200g unsalted butter = 60 syns, 100g caster sugar = 18 syns, 3 eggs, baking powder (whoops didn't count that) lemon rind, and for the syrup you pour over the top lemon juice and icing sugar 125g = 15 syns but I only used 1/2 the mixture. Wow shocking!!!!

I found out tonight what we're having tomorrow at the Victorian night! It's leek & potato soup to start so that's not bad if I skip the bread and butter (goodness knows how much butter/cream in the soup though!!), roast pork dinner (I'll limit myself to one roastie and try and limit the stuffing and gravy and avoid crackling!!) Then spotted dick or treacle pudding!! Then cheese and biscuits!!! I don't know how I'll deal with this one! May offer to do a stint behind the bar when the puddings come out!!! And no alcohol for me!!

I've posted on your thread but have a fab time at your photoshoot tomorrow hunnyXXXXXXXXX

Right, that's it, I've decided to say a big NO THANK YOU to pudding tomorrow night!! It's my fault I had so many syns today with the lemon polenta cake and I really want to minimise the damage on the scales on Monday! I've got to make choices in life if I want to continue to lose weight! I know that if I do this I will feel so proud of myself for having self-control and I'll be perfectly full from the starter and main course anyway! May even have a free snack before I leave the house so that i'm not ravenous when I arrive!! Ahaaa, tactics!!X

Week 58- Day 5 (Sat)- Extra Easy- Day off.

Breakfast- 3 egg omlette with herbs. An orange and an apple.

Lunch- A sweet n sour Mugshot. 2 Alpen lights (HEXb).

5pm- 3 crackers (4.5 syns) with 28g cheese (a bit of blue cheese and a bit of cheddar- HEXa)

8pm- At Victorian night in village hall- Leek & potato soup- (?2 syns for ?fat- don't think there was any cream in it- skipped the bread!!) Roast pork with 2 roast potatoes (3 syns), carrots, brussels sprouts, little mashed swede (?1 syn for butter), a little stuffing (?2 syns), a tiny bit of crackling (?2 syns), a tiny drizzle of gravy (?2 syns). Had a very small mouthful of dh's jam roly poly (?2 syns).

Really proud of myself for not indulging in my own pudding- the jam roly poly was so amazing I could easily have indulged but I had a mouthful and swallowed my pride!!! Also completly skipped cheese and biscuits!X

Total syns ?18.5 syns.

Well done on not giving in on Victorian Night :) Good luck tomorrow for WI.

Thanks pumpkin! I was proud of myself! Still not holding out much hope for tomorrow though as it's *week and I've caused quite a bit of damage last couple of weeks which knowing my track record will take a bit of time to reverse! My 5.5lb Spain weight took 3 weeks of hard work to shed! Good luck for you too!XXXXXXXX

Week 58- Day 7 (Mon)- Extra Easy- Day off.

Breakfast- 10.30am- 2 slices Warburtons wholemeal (from 400g loaf- HEXb) with 1 tspn Flora Lighter than Light (0.5 syns). 2 poached eggs. Tiny drizzle fruity HP sauce (0.5 syns). A banana.

Late lunch- 3pm- Corned beef soup, made the other day- lean corned beef, free veg, Worcestershire sauce and beef stock (1.5 syns for corned beef). An orange. A Shape Zero cherry yogurt.

WI- Gained 1lb! Not too disappointed with this because to be honest it could have been a lot worse!! I've had 3 weeks consisting of a mixture of very bad, bad, good and very good so I really didn't know what the impact would be! Of course I'd love to have lost more than 2lb in the past month which is the reality, but I could easily have gone of the rails and gained 10lb in that time!!! Keeping a lid on it is the name of my game up until Christmas!! Happy!X

After WI- 10pm- Gammon (cooked yesterday), a frylighted egg, SW chips seasoned with Nandos lemon & herb rub, mushy peas. A Kit Kat Senses creamy caramel!! (8 syns).

Before bed- Midnight- 350ml skimmed milk (HEXa).

Total syns 10.5.

Hi hun, Mmmmm lemon parfait, I LOVE lemon things! Did you see I made Nigella's lemon polenta cake the other day!! 160 syns in the whole thing!!! Shocking! I don't know how that would fare in Propoints world!! But it was deeeeelish!! Wow well done for making a gorgeous cake to take to work and not having any!! I can't resist scraping the bowl and licking the spoon if I make a cake! Very impressive! I was pleased with myself on the jam roly poly front- I tried Dai's and it was exquisite!! Hopefully I will see some kind of reward this evening but after the last couple of weeks I'm not holding out much hope! Hope all OK with you! You're doing fab!X

Hope tonight was favorable for you :D
Thats some syns for the Lemon Polenta Cake.....i've just pointed my fav Almond, Cherry and Marzipan Loaf at 84 Propoints and serves 8 but have decided to make it serve 12 at 7 points a slice - yum and well worth it so prob make that on sunday. Now that I can't resist lol....will have to freeze half though :)

Those darned Lemon Parfaits....another 2 slipped into my mouth along with 4 aero bubbles, just had enough point thank god
Think the next few weeks are going to be hard as we seem to get 3-4 pressies a day sent to our office. My director gave me his pressie from our supply company in Taiwan today as a thank you for baking a cake.....it was a pineapple shaped tin filled with individually wrapped ( thankfully ) pineapple cakes :) trouble is no nutrional info on side so will have to over estimate based on similar products over here!
Christmas food and drink is a nightmare lol

Going to Cardiff to see Mamma Mia- may be going to Wagamama for tea before show- I hope so!!!!

1lb is brilliant considering whats been going on....well done you, it'll be off in no time. Just goes to show how your damage limitation is working and how easy it will be for you to start maintenance :D
Enjoy Mamma Mia tonight....me and my sis saw it in London and loved it!!
xx

Thanks chicken, yes I must say I was pleased enough!! I must have had lots of good days to counteract the bad, but we always focus on the bad ones don't we!!!

I'm so excited about Mamma Mia, but also stressed at the same time! There are 80 of us going and I've organised a 49 seater coach with people getting on at different places, I'm on pins worrying about people making it on time!! A couple of people have dropped out already due to illness! I'll relax when I know everyone has made it safely and we're all seated!!!X

Week 59- Day 2 (Wed)- Extra Easy- Working night shift 7.30pm-8am

Yuck, all good things must come to an end!!!! It's my first shift back after 13 days off!! What a horrible feeling- nauseous, nervous, stressed, tired with the anticipation of it all!! How dramatic am I! I know that after 1 shift back I will feel I've never been away! Oh well, I do miss the banter when I'm not there! I'm very lucky to enjoy my job the majority of the time so time to stop complaining and just get on with it!! Work is often good news when it comes to SW as I find myself more organised with preparing food to take in with me and I'm also active in my work which all contributes towards body magic and in turn stops me wanting to pick! The only challenge is avoiding all the chocolates and biccies from patients and relatives, which are even more in abundance at this time of year!

Long lie-in in preparation for night shift.

Brunch 12 noon- 3 egg omlette with red onion, ham and 28g cheddar (HEXa). A Shape Zero blackberry yogurt.

Tea before work- Gammon with Batchelors golden savoury rice and 1/2 pack Tescos stir-fry veg.

Work break- 12.30am-28g porridge and 1 crumbled Scanbran (HEXb) made with water with 0% Total yogurt stirred in topped with a sliced banana and sweetener.

2 Quality St- a strawberry one and a caramel one(5 syns).

Total syns 5.
