I love fishy!!! And I'm not kidding, I've had lots of smoked mackerel, smoked salmon etc recently and my skin is much much clearer! It's not a coincidence as it's happened before when I've been going through a fishy phase!!X

I love smoked fish, but always confused about how many syns would be in them.
Mackerel is one of my favorites along with smoked salmon---yummy!

Smoked mackerel is 1 syn per 28g/3.5 syns per 100g! I do get a bit confused as to which of the tinned ones are free, but I don't often have the tinned ones anywayz! Love smoked salmon and fresh salmon (fortunately free!!) X

WI- Lost 1/2 lb! It's a loss, so I have to be happy enough, but after last week's 1 1/2lb gain it doesn't feel quite so exciting I'm afraid!! Nevermind, hope to do better next week!!

I know what you mean here. My 1lb loss this week isn't very pleasing after an inexplicable 2lb gain the week before. I suppose it is better than nothing after going out on Saturday though. I think I'll have to say to you what I'm saying to myself which is a loss is always better than a gain! I'll be cheering you on next week.

I haven't tried your tabbouleh yet but your comment on my diary reminded me about it so I'll be trying it soon I think.

Your diary is looking super yummy. How is everything else going for you?

Hey Melissa,

So we're in a similar situation gain/loss-wise then!! That same deflated feeling of two steps forward, one step back (Better than one step forward, two steps back!) But hey-ho, we will plod on!! The ONE bit of advice I can give you in this situation (speaking here as someone who's had LOTS of these experiences over 19 months!!) is to simply look at the much bigger picture- judge weight losses over a monthly period, and even better look back at all you've lost since the start, and to make you feel even more smug imagine how much weight you may have gained if you'd never even started!! The fact is, like me, you enjoy this new way of eating, you're NOT going to give up and this is a very very minor blip in a VERY successful weight loss journey!!

Yes you MUST try the tabbouleh- I made another batch yesterday! Popping out the pomegranate seeds is a little laborious but it's worth it!!

Your food always looks fantastic! Keep it up!XXXXXX

Everything is good with me thanks hun, I'm on annual leave at the moment! Not officially back until next Thursday but put myself down for private patient overtime Sat night as the money is too good to miss and they don't come up very often as we have to share them out between 75 of us! It's about £250 net for the 12 hour shift so happy days! Bumps next month's pay up a bit! My parents have just been up from Exeter for a few days- they left yesterday! We got lots of walking in so hope this helps next week's loss! This avo I'm off to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4 with a friend! A dose of Johnny Depp is always a good thing!! XXXXXXXX

Thanks for being super last night Hevs.....very supportive - love you lots honey bum xxx

Aww no probs, hope you feelin a little cheerier today hun!! Luvs you too!! Thanks for the rep!! I try to rep ya but I gotta share the lurrve a bit more first!!!XXX

Does the consultant buy you breakfast too? ;) Is it a private theatre list?

Lots of pennies to buy your slinky new clothes with! :D

xxx

Ha, no they don't!! But sometimes the anaesthetist brings in goodies! They do one case, sometimes two on a Saturday! I haven't done one of these shifts for about 4 years so it's defo my turn!!x

Thanks for the little visit to my diary hun! I have been really messing around the last few weeks, probably because I don't have the same drive to lose weight now I am a size 10/12 compared to when I was 16/18!! Deep down I know that I need to lose another stone though so am going 100% this week and seeing what happens!

Might go and check out Elles food porn thread to give me some inspiration for this week ahead!

Have been checking up on you and you keep chipping away at those last few pounds! Getting so close now! well done! xx

Thanks hun, time for you to stop messing around!! Although I'm a right hypocrite! I've hardly lost anything since before Chrimbo! I think I'm in the same situation as you! Because we're feeling more or less happy with the way we are now, feeling good in clothes etc and having gone down a few sizes, that huge drive to 'get there' has diminished a bit! We want to get to target, but it's so tempting to say yes to those treats and think, "I'm nearly there now, I've got plenty of time to lose the last stone or whatever..."! I just can't wait to get there now though so I'm on a big drive to actually do it!! Wow, 10-12, isn't it funny how body shapes vary! I'm still a 14 in most clothes but a 12 in some! My dream is to be comfortable 12, getting into some 10s! You can do it Amy, we started this more or less together and we'll finish it together!!!X

That tagine sounds lovely! Will have to give that a try...is it a soup or main meal?

Good luck for tomorrow--rooting for you!

Hey chicky, how are you hun?! I see you are having a fresh start with your stats!! Good for you, it's sometimes the best thing to have a new approach!! Hope you're OK!!

The tagine is a main meal from the Extra Easy meals in Meals in Minutes cookbook! It's simmering away as we speak! Smelling gorgeous I have to say! Really really quick and easy too as you just chuck all the ingredients in together!

All the very best for tomorrow Meli X
