Thanks for updating the league tables Mini!

Today's steps are 10,721 including 6,532 aerobic steps (56 minutes) made up of my 24 minute jawk (cross between a jog and a walk LOL) and a 32 minute walk down to Woolworths (managed to persuade little fella that walking is good). Would have been another bad steps day without the planned walking, despite being quite busy in the house, up and down the steps all day!

Flipping heck! Went to bed at 9:30pm, and woke up at 1am and haven't been able to get to sleep since.

I'd set my alarm for 4:45 (normally get up at 5:15 to start work at 6am - only work 10 minutes away in the car) but I'm planning on making the most of the time now, and getting an early start in at the gym. I'm gonna try and do 90 minutes, which will leave me a bit of time to have a leisurely shower and get ready after my work out, then a nice breakfast before I start work.

Hope I can chuffing well sleep tomorrow!

YO Yo- that was a great day! You really pulled that one out of the hat!

Janey - that was an brilliant day for around the house! Do you live in a mansion?

Mini - I think I could only have done 2000 yesterday, maybe a little more who knows cos I didn't have MNBF on, and I was sat around all day with a fly swot watching out for the dirty washing fairy. Little minx popped in again today, cos when I came in from work at 1.00pm there was another load sat in the machine........I hope she doesn't get paid overtime.

2 dog walks today, early one was 2219 steps, the pm one is usually 5100 (ish) steps, but my pedometer is saying 5362? Go figure? So I guess I forgot to put it on for this afternoons walk.

Mini I will say todays total is 10462........hope i'm right!:D

YoYo, I too had a sleepless night. OH is in Sweden until Thursday, so I have2 more sleepless nights to go through! When he is away I have ears out for burglars, fire, kids, dog(epileptic), and hear EVERYTHING. When he is here I have to wear earplugs to keep out his snoring!

Janey, was it you that recommended Rose Elliots lo carb veggie cookbook? Well I have ordered it from ebay, so we shall see what thats like. I have yet to open the covers of Beyond Chocolate. I'm reading Chicklit at night now to get my mind out of the dreadful Russell Brand's My Booky Wook that nearly drove me insane. Couldn't even finish it and I read ANYTHING.

No, it wasn't me who recommend that Rose Elliot book even though I do like her. I was at a cookery demonstration of hers last June and tasted some of the food she made. I was pretty chuffed about that!

Ooooooh but Russell Brand (my cp), why didn't you like his Booky Wook? :(

I hope you enjoy Beyond Chocolate. :D

Total for today: 18,334 of which 11,782 were aerobic (100 minutes). I went to the gym and did a 30-minute i-tread track (sprints), 20 minutes on the cross-trainer, then a 20-minute increasing incline i-tread track, really set me up for the day, it did!

I was sooo chuffed when I got it 'from Santa' and couldn't wait to get stuck in. But to me it seemed like he had a gost writer, then himself took over and tried to throw in alot of 'ambiguous too hard for us mere mortals' words. By the time I had deciphered what he meant (and I am not totally illiterate, but I will tell you about that later LOL), I had lost the plot. Then parts of it read like he is telling it, then there is no flow. Then the ghost writer took over etc. Perhaps it's me, and I ought to stay with the chicklit of a night-time. Hope I'm not putting the chap down, some parts were funny, some desperate, some rude! re literacy.... The DS & DD were doing a grammar quiz on the computer, along with the dog. They invited me to try too, and the dog beat me.........I still don't live that one down.

You are just getting better and better. Where do you find the time and inclination to do this. Perhaps I need a kick in the chuff. What you did sounds like very hard work, I would have done 30mins on the cross trainer and thought I was done. Wait till the summer/spring, cos the days are lighter and drier and I can take the dog further without risking limbs. At the mo i finish work between 1 and 2, come home have a drink and something to 'eat', walk the dog for at least an hour, home tidy up get tea and then it's pitch black. We don't live in a bad area so I could walk at night, it's just the effort to go out into the cold again. The dog is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. HE'S big and would probably be a deterrant, but thats all he would be good for! LOL!:chores016::gen147::rotflmao:thats the dog laughing by the way.

Woohoooooooo, well done!!! I am well and truly happy to pass you my crown this week as my steps have been panty pants to put it mildly! You are doing brilliantly, keep it up and you'll see the results. :D

OK, I won't be blaming Russell for his booky wook...Took some chicklit to be, and even found that hard going. I need something to drizzle over my retinas before bed. Has anyone got any Janet and John books? I think that will be my next level! Janey have you read 'the book'? If not I could get my friend to sen it too you once she has read it if you like. I'll know hown much it costs once I send it too her, so I'll just get extra stamps for her. Once you've read it pass it on.

YoYo, hope your steps are improving! I see mIni's are! Mine aren't....today 6744, maybe 7200 by bedtime? It's raining and horrid. I can't pound the street in that. Also I don't pound or run. Running a bath is as good as it gets here.

Big Birdy - to tell you the truth on Sunday night I only had a few hours sleep then woke up at 1am and could not get back off. I usually wake up at 5am, so by the time 4am came around and I was still wide awake I decided to go to the gym at work (open 24/7). I am enjoying doing the i-tread tracks that I mentioned as you are always being challenged throughout. I can't wait for the lighter nights though and warmer days!

I've hardly done any today. I've got a runny nose and a sore throat and although it's not bad enough for me to stay off work, I'm skiving from the gym tonight. Also, I forgot to take my flat shoes into work with me, and I can;t walk in heels so I just stayed in.

Hi Nikki, I haven't read My Booky Wook yet but it is there on my pile of books ready for me to savour and enjoy. On the Russell Brand site the fans have gone stir crazy for his book and some have read it several times. I think I might be one of those people!! ;):D

I HATE this weather. Grrrrrrrr. It has rained virtually non stop today - I couldn't walk to work, I couldn't go out at lunchtime and I couldn't walk home. I actually feel a bit depressed about it - I have my lovely pedometer, my walking shoes ....... and RAIN!

Yesterday 8,164. I pray for dry weather this weekend like I had the first week I bought my pedometer!

Tuesday was not so good, steps only bolstered by a quick trip to the supermarket 4,552 and no aerobic steps. Frighteningly this total is what I have been doing for months and months on end pre-pedometer!

PS - forgot to tell you all this!

When I did Lighter Life my calves went down from 17.5" to 15.25". I was highly delighted because I had never been able to go into a shop and buy knee high boots, I'd always had to buy them from calf-fitting boots specialists thus paying a fortune!

Anyway I kind of have been thinking my legs feel a lot firmer, so I decided to measure my calves again, and they've gone down to 14.75", so I've lost another half an inch despite putting weight on since finishing LL!!!! I can only put this down to one thing - the extra walking!!!! Hopefully my thighs will follow suit!

Now thats what I call an incentive YO YO! I will be measuring mine later too, cos I can't fit in normal high street shops either. Even when I was a size 10 I had to get wide fit riding boots! Sadly though my daughter thinks my legs are my best feature:eek: so don't know whether to laugh or cry!
