Getting back in zone, to loose for good!!

Hi EternalFlame,
I've just read the last couple of pages. You seemed to be doing really well on CD (it's the Cambridge diet, isn't it?), keep motivated.
I hope your son is better, with doctors sometimes you really have to push them to do further exams, that's the NHS for you!

Hi Kibou

Yes, its the Cambridge Diet. Am only doing this for the week (ends tomorrow), as off for the weekend and wanted to loose a few extra lb's quick. Back to SW on Monday though and can't wait. Really going to give it a go too. Thanks for popping in and for your kind words. xxx

Good morning

Last day of CD today :). Not seen any change again this morn on the scales, but then again.. lol.. I went to the pub last night, had a diet coke and all was well.. but my mate asked if I wanted coffee, so not a problem.. black coffee came up, but she also bought me a Baileys to put in it . So there you are.. might (who am I kidding, lol) be those extra cals that made me STS.

Last WI for CD tomorrow and will post up the loss later in the day as off to Brighton with my BF :). Then off away on Fri to Norfolk, for a Line Dancing Weekend, with an Hawiaain Night, booze and food, what can I say.. :8855:

Spoke to my colleague at work who is on LL and she asked me why I didn't join LL, but all said and done, I can't stick to CD and LL is double the price too.. But have made a decision and that is to do a whole month on SW.. then see how much I have lost, and that is really giving it a chance too, and no breaking it. Then beg of July, If I still have a good stone to loose, then I'll do CD for a month before I go to Grenada, just to shift that weight before I go. Then back to SW to carry on loosing.

Can't wait to get back onto SW next week, I have it all planned, lol.

Heres for a 100% CD day and then gym and swim later :) . Have a good day all. xx

Thanks Tracy, thats the idea.. positive and feeling good today. The work I have done with the kids in school, is paying off, just had a session with a 14 yr old girl and she came to me with so much anger against everything. But.. now is a positive young woman, has been working really hard to do well and her reports in school are brilliant. Started doing an OCN with her this morning, she is made up :). Its good when a plan comes together.

I'm quite glad that my sons passport issue came up, as I now HAVE to go to the gym, lol.. A few more cals to burn might make the scales move the right way for my official WI in the morn too.

Will prob post tomorrow and then again on Monday. xx

Not at all..An OCN comes in levels say 1-5 and is worth 3/4 of a GCSE. OCN is really the name of the qualification, but stands for Open College Network. The kids can get an OCN for doing certain things, but there is a criteria and they need to complete that with evidence, showing how they achieved it. Then they can collect their units and can add towards University units too. Which is great for kids who aren't very academic. x

Lunch time.. am freezing in my office, hands and nose cold, lol.. Froze my tetra last night so its cold enough and hey. its still half frozen!! So trying to have my lunch and think i'm sucking from that straw like its going out of fashion :). Black coffee warmed me cockles up a bit, and a pint of water.. will def make me wanna wee, so all is well..

Hi girls....I have my 1st meeting tonight. Can you recomend any good cooking books?

They sell books at class, which are about £5 each. But they have lots of yummy recipes and the syn values all worked out for you. I think I have the whole collection!

How was your weekend?! You back to reality yet?

Good morning - hope everything is going ok - have you finished CD now or is today your last day ?

Have a good one whatever you are up to..

How was your weekend?! You back to reality yet?

Hi Kez

Back to reality with a BASH!! Put on 7lb over the weekend, so off to SW group tonight and will start from there, lol.. Not worth adjusting ticker until then, as they always weigh you a bit more then your own scales anyway, dont they?

Gonna go through the diary's and will chat a bit later.. xx

Good morning

Had the news I had been waiting from, re my son's tests. His sugar level is way too high. Apparently, normal is 2-5, and his is 8! So back to GP's again tomorrow and he'll ask for more tests I would assume.

Weekend away was fantastic, apart from had been very good all week til Thurs and had a loss of 8lb. But.. this morning had put 7lb of that back on, I hate that.. always goes on really quick.

Joining the local SW group tonight and will start again, plan is to do that for rest of May and then June and begining of July, to jump onto CD til beg of August. Thats the plan anyway. Need to get back to healthy eating though and get the alcohol out of my system, lol..

Heres for a good day everyone. xx

Morning Nikki

Good news on your son - well not good news if you know what I mean but at least they have found something out ... fingers crossed that it is something that can get sorted quickly !!

Glad that you have had a good weekend, even if the weight has gone back on again - still you are going back to SW tonight so it will soon come off again !

Have a great day and let us know how you get on tonight

Ok.. last night's SW group was really good, and a bloke brought in a chilli which was free on EE days, it was soo nice, and I was starving anyway, so will def make that this week.

No big surprise for the WI, as I thought.. so pretty much starting from scratch. Day 1 of SW, EE Day:

B-fast - Vanilla M'Light Yogurt and half a bananna (other half was bad, lol)

Lunch - small salad, Ham and 157 g of Fish Sushi from Tesco - 1.5 syns

Snack - Pear and mixed fruit

Dinner, Jack Pot (baked beans) cheese (HEA), Steak, pasta salad, rice, salad, Chicken and chicken skewers (all free).

Afters, M'light toffee Yogurt (free) and Curly wirly - 6.5

Not sure what to have for my HE B, so will keep that as an option for later perhaps.

Bought some Cottage cheese with pineapple and one with chives last night, but.. checked syn's and they are not free as thought. So will save that for a jacket Pot one eve this week, to go with a green day.

Thought this week, will alternate with the days, so EE today, then Green, then Red and so on.. and stick to just 10 syns a day. To get a good loss this week.. well thats the plan anyway, lol.

Taking my son to docs later to see where we go from here with his sugar level.. One thing it has done though, is made him look at what he eats. So no KFC chicken and chips at lunch anymore, makes sandwiches to take and has cereal for bfast as well. Used to skip that and then get to college and do his PE course.. so was burning cals with no energy. Took him shopping last night and asked what fruit he liked this week, he does change, lol.. so that made him choose something which he will then eat as well. Thing is, he's under weight anyway, and does so much sport.. will get a clearer idea of what to avoid if anything, to bring his levels down later..

Busy start, but one of my appt's have cancelled, so now able to post :)

Heres to a great day for all. xx
