Getting back in zone, to loose for good!!

Good morning,

First EE day yesterday went ok, used 7 syns but didn't manage to have all of my HEB, got 1 alpen bar light down me, lol.. Fell asleep after that.

Felt a bit rough last night, so took some paracetamol and went to bed, awoke to swolen glands, bit of a cold, sore throat and achey. Prob a cold coming. So will carry on dosing up today.

GP has sent Rhys for more tests, spec Diabetes. So will take him when he has morning off on Friday. He fell asleep straight after we came out of the GP's in the car about 5'ish, got home, went straight to bed and slept again. Called him down for dinner at 8pm, he ate and went straight to bed again. Woke him up at 11pm, just to get changed into bed really. Seemed ok this morning, but says he is constantly feeling sick and tired. These tests on Fri only take 3 days to come back, so we'll know by Wed next week.

He did make me laugh, at the GP's, GP said, he needed to fast the night before his test, Rhys answered, "do I need to fast until the sun goes down". As he has only really heard of the muslim religion. I quickly changed the subject, lol. GP didn't really notice.

Anyway, going for a Green day today:

Bfast - Banana, Alpen Light Bar (half my HEB) and a Pear
11's - Spicey Rice (some left from last night)
Lunch - Chick and Mush Pasta and sauce (using skimmed milk (HEA) ) and cucumber
Dinner - Speghetti (will use my HEB for prawns and my HEA for Cheese)
Afters - Vanilla Yog and mixed fruit and the other Alpen Bar Light.

Will make the effort to drink more today, tend to drink alot at night (its only water, lol). So will up that during the day today too.

Hope everyone has a good day. x

Hiya bud

Hope that the tests tell you what you need to know and that they can get things sorted out for your boy quickly ! There is nothing worse than feeling tired all the time - says she yawning as she is typing !

Food sounds good, I have had scrambled egg and mushrooms for breakfast, plus a jacket potato with beans and cheese for lunch - feeling tired now.. could do with a nap like I had yesterday !

Hello MF

It was sunny here earlier, but has now clouded over and looks really stormy!

Ended up doing an EE day yest, forgot to have my HE's so did a really nice seafood arabiata speghetti.. It was nice :)

Rhys is still not good, has so little energy, but tests tomorrow and will get those back on Wed next week. Got him into college this morn, had to drop him off as he usually gets the college bus, but he was feeling sicky again, so made his breakfast, gave him some pain killers and he seemed to perk up. It is a worry!

SW seems to be going fine, am making a Chilli tonight, Free on EE :) and will go swimming too later.. Better not put too many beans in it, lol..

Have a good day yourself too.xx

I'm not surprised that it is a worry with your son, but at least you will be able to get the results pretty quickly..

I have to take DS2 to the hospital next Wednesday to see the paeditrican, as he is very underweight for his age etc... plus he doesn't eat very much at all...

Glad to hear that you are managing well with SW - good for you... and no turning the pool into a jacuzzi !!

Lol.. If I feel that windy, I might have to get into the Jacuzi, lol.

My youngest daughter had a thing about being underweight when she was younger, didn't eat much. Sometimes their little bodies go through so many changes, it must be hard for them to keep up, and their appetite goes out of the window for a while. She gradually started growing, and eating and she eats for England now,lol.. She will always be petite, but is tall with it. Hope all goes well with your Son next week too.

Need to pop to Lakeside (nearest Shopping Centre) to get some vouchers and cards for my nephew and his Dad,both today and tomorrow birthday's. May is an expensive month,lol.. x

Day 4 of SW, another EE day. I always intend to go with either Green or Red and don't use all of my HE's so, EE it ends up being.

Made a really nice chilli last night, Rachel Allens one, just left out the oil, baked it in the oven and it was lush. Had that with WW Pitta Bread (5 i think) and sw chips :). Ended up having 7 syns (saving 3 for Sat night - chinese :) )

Didn't gt to the gym last night, my head was banging :wave_cry: and felt really fluey, so was in bed by 10.30pm (early for me).

Up early to get Rhys to his test at the hosp, got there just gone 8am.. and it was chock a block. How can this be, that it opens at 8am and ppl are allowed to put their names on a list from 6am :(???

Anyway, as Rhys wouldn't have gone in til 9.30am at the earliest and he started college at 10am, we had to abandon it. His test is a 2 hr one, so need to go again tomorrow morn earlier, to get him in. Ended up going to Asda, getting some more fruit, then sat in Cafe and watched Rhys tuck into a Big Breakfast, lol.. while I chomped on a banana and m'light yogurt  (which I'd bought while shopping).

Thought I'd try and get some coconut essence (to add to curries) from a cake making shop, so popped in there earlier and no.. had none. So need to now order it online and pay the delivery charge :(.

Food for today:
  • B-fast - Banana with Vanilla M'light Yog
  • Lunch - Ham and Mush omelette - using 150 ml skimmed milk with 2 l/fat laughing triangles (HEA) and 2 low fat sausages (1) I do like my sausages, lol
  • Dinner - Chicken Ceylon and rice, (without the coconut) wv sw onion bahji's (1).
Snacks - fruit and Butterkiss popcorn (5.5) and 2 alpen light bars (HEB)

7.5 syns.. not gonna use the rest, as having a chicken chow mein from chinese tomorrow night to take to work with me and my curly wirly for afters, lol.. so will need to use those.

AS I'm a serial scale hopper :scale: and haven't so far managed to put those dreaded things out of reach, I weighed this morn and looks likie I've lost 3lb :). I know I don't offically WI til Monday eve, so will really keep on track for more of a loss.

Gonna do washing and lay in garden day today, me thinks.. NVQ work to do, so will make it seem easier :). Working nights Fri, Sat and Sun, so will enjoy that rest :)

Have a good day. xx

Oh.. what a weekend

Took Rhys for his test on Sat morning, and instantly after he'd had the glucose, he was feeling sick, tired and stomache cramps..not sure what that means, but side effects are only generally feeling sick. Test will be back on Wed, so we will see.

Was good diet wise, until Saturday night.. planned to have Singapore Chow Mein, but then had a spring roll on top of it and sweet and sour sauce.. plus my planned treat of popcorn - had allowed 15 syns but ended up having 25 syns.

So.. yesterday was pretty much on plan and didn't go over my 10 syns at all.

WI night tonight, so hoping I've lost 6lb (looks like 7lb on my scales), gonna eat minimum food today, sushi for lunch and an alpen bar before I go to WI. I hate eve WI's, but hey ho!

A little frazzled from yest, laying in garden, so suffering a bit today and how embarassing, lol.. look a little RED! We are English after all!

Heres for a good day x

Hiya Bud

Glad that you had a good weekend, even if you did go over your syns a little - at least you pulled it back yesterday...
I must admit I was expecting a bit of red skin on the walk yesterday, but everyone was really sensible with the sunscreen, so there was no red to be seen...

I have had a nightmare dietwise, so starting again this morning... ha ha - had 1 tetra and loads of water - WI is on Friday so I need to be good - although it does seem easier when the weather is nice..

Have a great day and fingers crossed for WI tonight - let us know how you get on

T
x

Not too bad thanks

Managed all day yesterday on 2 tetras but then ended up having a steak with brocolli for supper... but the scales are showing a downward turn from yesterday, so I'm going to be 100% for the next 3 days until WI, and then I should be in ketosis - although my teeth feel very furry this morning for some reason - might have to go clean them again when I have had my first shake

That shouldn't have kicked you out of ketosis anyway T, on the Atkins, its part of the diet and its all about staying in ketosis too, so I'm sure and especially with the scales going down.. that it worked :). I love steak :)

Are you on all tetras or some shakes too? I used to split my shakes, my morn one esp, so used the same amount of water to blend and ice but half the shake powder. Didn't taste much different and still filled me up. Then after work about 5, when I would be hungry, then blend the other half of that shake.. Kept me going til Tea time. x

Food diary for today:

Bfast - Banana and toffee Muller light - free :)
snack - 1 alpen light bar (half of my HEB)
Lunch - cooking a roasted veg pasta with Passate and chilli sauce (its out signature dish day at work) Free
Snack - 2 Pears, 1 Apple
Dinner - Chicken Curry and Rice (need to try out a new SW friendly one)

Afters - Strawberries, Yogurt, Alpen Light Bar (other half of my HEB) and Syns - Curly Wirly 5.5

Need to save some syns all week for my weekend away - for my booze, lol

When I first started CD, all those many moons ago, I used to have everything, so a cold shake for brekkie and mid afternoon and then a soup in the evening... but it was winter and I was suffering with the cold, so I bought a cordless blender so I could have soup ay work...

But got peed off with having to carry my shaker around everywhere with me, so this time I have gone for tetras all the way - they are just so easy and actually fill me up more than the power shakes.. I have got about 7 soups left over from last time, so if I fancy something different I can have one of those

When we go away next week, I'm going to get some bars for mid afternoon, dont want to be having to carry my shaker around when we are walking
