Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

Well done on the loss Emma. So close to the 2st award now, that should keep you motivated for next week. I've actually just realised that I'm only 4lb away from 2st as well, so hopefully we'll both get there soon x

Finally managing a catch up :)

Thanks ladies :)
had a busy day again today.
Food diary for yesterday:
B: melon, raspberries, blackberries, yoghurt
L: jacket potato, roasted med veg and mozzarella
D: spaghetti bolognese with cheese

used syns on oil and extra cheese, but forgot to eat my hex b.
i met my Aunty for lunch and she's just joined SW so it was nice to chat to her.

Food for today:
b: none woops
L: very early pasta with pasata and a babybel light
S: alpen light and babybel light
D: mayflower curry and rice.

So I've maybe had 5 syns for the curry max, ill have a look in my book when I get home. Had a busy day cleaning and packing so I'm really tired tonight :-(
and I keep not sleeping very well. I woke up at about 1.30 this morning thinking of all the stuff I need to do, need to stop stressing internally but there is such a lot going on.

Hopefully hear back about a job tomorrow, and had another phone interview today so just hope I get a job quickly, will make things much easier financially, and will mean we can afford to go out in Manchester at the end if the month, and I won't worry about spending too much in Spain, I can treat myself to some new clothes in his dads shop.

Dont think ill make my target of 12.6 by the time I go to Spain (20 days to lose 6.5kbs) but I am pretty pleased by how it's gone, and at least next year when we go I should be at target and will be in some lovely bikinis :)
i was speaking to my friend Saturday night and she lost a lot if weight to get married 4 years ago. But she says when she got married she felt fab. Now she's 4lb lighter than when she got married and wants to lose weight on her arms and legs. It's crazy!!
Hope I don't get to that point and keep pushing myself.
Wish I could up my fitness but my belly just wouldn't cope yet. My doctor has recommend Pilates so think ill try that when I move and fingers crossed, that should build up my core muscles enough for me to start doing some classes or something.

Hope everyone's ok xxx

Today is going to be a good day.:) the scales were very nice when I had my sneaky weigh this morning!! 12st 8.4!! I know I weigh at night but I'm seriously nearly 12 and a half stone!! I think if I'm good all week I may have a chance of my -2 on Monday. But all you can eat Chinese on Saturday might undo some of my hard work. Oh well.

Had a little lie in this morning, Mylo was nice and quiet for me. Came downstairs to find our bubble wrap all over the kitchen, and he'd pulled curtains down. Naughty Mylo, no wonder he was quiet! Lol.

Food Plan for today:
B: blackberries, raspberries, grapes, muller light, melon, alpen light (1/2 hexb)
L: undecided
D: quorn mince burritos,

think ill try to make this a green day.
We packed nearly everything in the kitchen yesterday so it's going to make meals for the rest of the week. Lol.
Dads just rang so I'm going floorboard shopping with him. Lol.
Xx

Oh dear, very naughty Mylo! If you're anything like me though, you can't stay angry at them for long.

I'm sure if you stay on plan the rest of the week then your Chinese won't throw you off too much. Fingers crossed you get the result you want on Monday.

Mylo got cuddles when i got back from the shops bless him, i just cant resist his cuteness. lol
Got quite a bit done today. Shopped with dad, had lunch, steam cleaned my windows, apart form 2 which i cant get to. This includes all our extra stupid panels, weve got triple glazing, because we live to close to the runway. I dnt even notice the noise anymore but im sure i would if we didnt have such thick windows.

Then we painted our bedroom with our first coat, so its back to Magnolia. Hopefully Chris wont be at work too long tomorrow, so he can help me paint again, need to buy more paint too, underestimated how much we would need. Then my friend is coming to say goodbye to us tomorrow afternoon, and im going for either a cuppa or walking the dogs together with my friend that lives across the road.

Food wasnt perfect today, was good until dinner. I had a few chips with my burrito mince, and then i gave in and had 2 little wraps, which was probably lots of syns. followed by a freddo. but that was all my syns today, and didnt have all my hex's today, so could have been worse i guess. Having a red day tomorrow, because my brother is coming for tea.

My younger brother has been fed up living here for a while, and weve invited him to come live with us in Lincoln when we move, and he said tonight, hes going to come. Hes not coming til end of may/june, but glad hes decided what hes doing. Anyway hes on Atkins to get a flat belly for when we go to Spain so making home made burgers for tea for us. So ill have Burgers with Salad for tea.

Ive got some chicken in, and some veges so i can always find something to eat tomorrow for lunch. Just remembered ive got a hex b soup in, think ill have that for lunch maybe with a side of chicken or fruit or something. I alwyas seem to lose weight more on red days so hopefully this will help with the weightloss this week. Its getting harder as my cupboards are empty, and my fridge is getting pretty bare, to find proper meals.....
oh well. might be a takeaway friday when we get back from getting our house. maybe a chicken kebab no pitta to be super good....

babbling now, so going to bed as im tired. Night alll :) xxxx

Aw, that's lovely that your brother is going to live with you. What a lovely sister he's got :)

I can't believe how much you're having to do in the house before you move. You surely can't have much more to do...?!?!

You'd think so wouldn't you. But you honestly wouldn't believe the standards the house has to be at. There's an inspection and you get charged for things. Still got to fix damage from Mylo, and clean a cupboard in my kitchen, oh god the list goes on. We're not struggling cos well finish Monday when they've emptied the house.
Im lucky with my brother, we get on really well, and him and Chris are mates, so that will help. He's always asking me to do stiff on his days off bless him. He's a good lad. Will be fun for him to have somewhere good to go out again. With me at uni in Manchester and him in London, we both came back to Norfolk, and it's lovely but we've struggled. Lol. Xx

Thats great news about your brother! Sounds like we'll be in a very similar position with siblings living in the same house with our OH's! Its nice when everyone gets on so well isnt it?

You must be doing an incredible amount of body magic with all this cleaning and painting and what not! On top of walking Mylo!! I cant believe they make you do so much before you go...I guess the good thing is that someone had to do it for the house you're moving to, so it should be all spick and span!?

mmm I do love a homemade burger!! Enjoy tea! :)
xxx

Yeah, I know it's a bit odd us all living together but it's not like that, it will be easy. He's tagging along to Spain and bless him he's so excited, think its more chilled out than he thinks out there but i like him excited rather than miserable about being here. Lol.

Didnt have a read day yesterday, we went to frankie and bennys for lunch cos we were out, had bacon steaks with a jacket, (3 for oil). Then had burgers for tea with a few chips maybe (3), then I had choc so (5.5), so 11.5 syns in total.

We are going to get the keys for the new house today!!! Yay, super excited!! Taking a few bits with us so we've got them Monday night when we get up there. I am so excited to get in and see upstairs cos only seen through the windows. I can't wait to move now!!! Eeeek! :)

not sure on food today, running out of options apart from breakfast. Have a Good Friday everyone xxxx

Pre-moving day

Quick update as I have woken up stupidly early, and I think even the dog will wonder why I'm awake if I go down now...
food has gone completely out of the window, :-(

had a McDonald's on the way to view the house, the first of the year!!! Had a grilled chicken and salad wrap and medium chips. Starving when we hot home and nothing to eat so we got a Chinese, not bad choices but I ate way way too much. And yesterday was spent cleaning and packing. We only have plastic cutlery and paper plates left. The microwave is at the new house and we decided to no longer use the oven so it could be cleaned to perfection, and then not touched again.
So we went into town for halfords/Argos/homebase and had Pizza Hut for lunch. :-/
saw a lady I know from my SW group in there lol. We waved across the room knowingly. Lol.

we were out last night to say bye to everybody at a Chinese all you can eat, but not a buffet they bring you normal plates. There was 17 of us in total so we were treated like 2 separate tables and one table drank a lot of wine. My mum and dad had organised it to say thanks to everybody that had helped in the house, and say bye to us, and dad wanted to pay, but we had already agreed between ourselves we were covering there meals.
Got into a bit of an argument about it, mum was snapping at my dad that we were trying to pay. Poor dad, either a moody, drunk mum or £520 bill. Lol.

Anyway it ended up being £35 a person, which was quite a lot when the food was only £15pp, but oh well. Chris mentioned it when we got home, but didnt know what else to do, I know we were paying for the drunk table, ours would have been about £24 a person roughly on our table he said he worked out, but if I didn't just sort it, dad was there with his card ready to pay......

Was a lovely meal anyway :)
Need to finish packing every last thing today and then clean a bit more if we have time :-/
you'd never believe we were moving looking at the state of my bedroom floor! I turned it upside down looking for a pair of leggings I wanted yesterday. My poor husband not sure how he copes, it looks like I'm a teenager!! Lol. Ignore the curtains!! There the best of an awful bunch, I miss our blackout blinds. :-(

Anyway, been laid in my bed an hour, might as well get up and start! Could be a very long day, wish me luck lol. Xxxx

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Hey gal! Sounds like you've massively got your hands full with the move! Good luck with everything!!
Must be hard not having much food around and not using the oven :/ convenience junk food is just so easy. Dont worry about your dodgy days though, sounds like you at least made good choices!
X

I wouldn't worry too much about going off plan, it sounds like you've a lot of other things on your mind at the moment! I can't believe the big move is tomorrow, I hope it all goes well. Once you're in the new house with a fully functional kitchen, you'll get right back on plan x

Hey lovely lady! How are you getting on?!
I saw your FB post last night, you must have had a mammoth day of packing and whatnot!

Hehe your comment about seeing a woman in group in Pizza Hut and giving each other a knowing smile made me chuckle! :)

Bet food planning is the last thing on your mind right now with all the lifting and shifting and unpacking and sorting you must be doing...but I hope you're alright...and just think of all the body magic you must be racking up!

Cant wait to hear all about the new house!
Xxx

Confession is good for the soul apparently. . .

Hi all,
finally getting chance to check in. For some stupid reason I've woke up at 4am so lots of guilt free laying in bed until I become sleepy again.

Ok, I best fess up and let you all know how awful I've been so you can give me a good talking to, although I don't think my eating healthy can really go back to normal until Friday eve really. So last Friday was when it started to go wrong, when we came to move in this house.
Friday: macdonalds, Chinese.
Saturday: Pizza Hut, Chinese all you can eat
Sunday: chocolate, baguette and chips, breaded chicken, bread baked potato, crisps and dip
Monday: ham salad baguette, dominos
tuesday: chicken fajita wrap, chippy chips
wednesday: pasta (finally a healthy meal), pizza

so I know that I have been atrocious, I know I wouldn't let myself get away with this normally! Need to stop using moving as an excuse to be naughty and make better choices. Yoghurts and berries are in the fridge ready to start tomorrow, but after lunch tomorrow were back to the other house to finish cleaning before we have our inspection Friday lunch. I'm staying at my mum and dads, and I think my brother told me they're on Atkins, so I think if I plan a red day, I should be safe and eat something at mums.
Chris has been really ill bless him, since Saturday/Sunday. Sent him to docs wed morning and he's got a chest infection, no wonder he's been struggling bless him. I have been telling him to go sit down I'm happy to unpack on my own, but he has been feeling guilty leaving me to do, until he's got a confirmed diagnosis anyway. Lol.

The house is slowly coming together, this is much nicer than our old one, nice new and big kitchen, and more space to use or dining table. I've been watching secret eaters in channel 4, and if you don't pay attention to your food while your eating, ie. watching tv, you eat 20% more than if you pay attention.
Tried to find a weighing group to get weighed this week, but the ones that came up were mon-wed and it was already too late. Damn it, think I could have done with a swift kick up the bum.

Anyway lovely ladies, I have been reading all your posts, generally when I have 2 minutes, not had time to really post, but things are calming down ish now, hopefully ill get some time later. Going to try to get some more shut eye now, because 5am is not an acceptable time to be getting up!!!! Lol

xx

Nice to hear from you Emma. It's a shame you couldn't find a class to suit, sometimes seeing the number on the scales is all we need to get us back on track. Don't worry too much about the last few days, what's done is done. It's all about what you do from now on in.

I'm glad you're loving the new house. I'm sure you'll be cooking lots of SW-friendly meals in your new, big kitchen in no time x

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Moving house is one of the stressiest things! When you're thst busy convenience food is just easy. Try and get a subway (or even mcdonalds) salad in there if you're heading for a drive through though!
Also if you have a microwave handy still, get some uncle bens rice pouches, the mexican ones are really nice just with some chopped cucumber and tomato for superfree- takes 2 mins to cook! And get some mugshots handy too! Easier than ordering a takeaway ;)
Good luck with the rest of your week- just remember.that a couple of bad choices dont mean you have to go off plan all together. If you have dominoes you can still try to have the other two meals more SW friendly. Aldo remember that large dominoes slices are about 15 syns each! 150 syns for the whole pizza! Shock yourself out of getting dominoes :p even chinese is better.
I'm sure stuff will settle down soon, hope Chris feels better! X
