Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

Well, the scales yesterday morning said 13.8, and I'd been down to about 12.10 in the morning at my lowest , so it's really not the best, but hopefully I'll have a decent first week again and I'll be back on plan. I am considering weighing myself every week now instead of going to class.
i didn't like the class I went to. The woman was quite pushy and loud, not friendly. She had quite an old lady crowd, and I felt she was pushy with people to get them to talk. She dragged it out, and made it run over, I just wasn't keen. And then she rang and text me while I was away. Even though I'd put I was away for a week from the group. Don't like people like that.

Anyway, plan for today,
B: unsure- maybe a sausage and some berries
L: roast bns soup
D: chilli with rice

sounds healthy enough right? Lol.
Mylo needs a walk, and we need to pop into town, but I was also hoping to get Chris to show me where the gym is here, then I can pick up a timetable for classes and work out when it will be quiet.
Have a good day all :)
xx

Emma, don't worry about the gain, the main thing is that you've had a great holiday and you're now in the right frame of mind to get back into the plan.

Enjoy your walk :)

Morning lovely one! Welcome home!! :)
Ok, line drawn under the gain and loving the positive frame of mind your in to crack on again!

Are there any other groups locally you could go to instead?
Having been to group a couple of years ago, I just do it from home now and have found that I've stuck to it much more, mainly just with the help of this site...but also because I didnt enjoy group that much and I feel much more accountable to you guys on here for some weird reason, more than I ever felt accountable to my group! But then again...you dont get the discussions and the shiny stickers etc..so its worth figuring out what keeps you motivated and engaged with the plan if that makes sense?

Glad to hear you're reunited with Mylo too! :) Good to have you back Em!
xx

Aw, I'm sure you'll have some great losses to kick start things again though- like one does in first weeks! Fingers are crossed for you hun!!
Sucks that the new group was so rubbish. I tried two near me and had similar experiences- felt a bit pushy/not very... emotionally connected? Like it was too much about force. One of them had a male leader and I felt like he didn't really get it; needed some more emotional connection. Anyway- have been doing self WI's since week 2 and it's been fine- Minimins is such a great support platform! :)

Em, why dont you go back and re-read your diary from the start...it might help you remember how you felt when you started and your reasons for doing so...and then also how good you felt when you were losing and resisting the temptation etc? Just an idea if you're looking for a kickstart to get back on track?

And tell chris to stop being a monkey! haha I saw your fb status last night about being starving and him suggesting pizza!! ;)
It's all in the planning.....back to basics as you find a new routine in your new home after you hols! You can do it!

Why is it so easy for us to fall off the wagon but so bl**dy difficult to get back on it?!!

Don't be too hard on yourself, you've had a manic couple of weeks so it's completely understandable that you haven't stuck completely to plan. I think it's a great idea to read back through your diary and I might actually do the same. I'm not a huge fan of weekly meal planners (as mine never, ever end up going to plan!) but it might be worth a shot for this week, just to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Thanks ladies, I know your right, going to go back and read all my old posts...
chris isn't the best ATM, but normally I let him do what he wants and ill eat a bit better, but I didn't :-/
had a brunch of pasta because that's what I fancied. Going to snack on fruit today,
and then were going to have chicken skewers, sw chips and salad for tea.
So that will be one day down.

Think I might try to plan this week, will hopefully make me stuck to it a bit...

So I've had my dinner, just got to get through the evening now....
Brunch- pasta, pasata, mushrooms,
snack- hifi bar
dinner- sw chips, fajita mix ( chicken, onion, pepper, baby corn and mushrooms), and a salad ( lettuce, cucumber, tomato, carrot), cheese and syn free dip

dinner was lovely, definitely worth a bit of cooking effort :)
the only syns I've had today are the syns from the fajita mix, but didn't even use a whole packet, so probably 2.5 syns.
Kind of fancy chocolate, so might have some chocolate cereal for a few syns, then I know it's good for me, lots of fibre.

Im shattered tonight, really need to register with the drs, I'm well overdue my b12 injection. Whoops
hope everybody's had a good day xx

Sounds lik today's been a good one Emma. Good idea to just take it one day at a time, you'll be back on track in no time x

Day 2 on plan....

Thanks ladies, 1 day completed, and I'm thinking positive for day 2 :)
Sarah my dip changes a bit, but it's based of fat free Greek yoghurt, sometimes I'll fry a bit of onion and blitz that into it, put garlic in it, and aromat, which is an all purpose seasoning, but I like it, I use it in place of like a sour cream dip.

I was good last night after dinner, and didn't eat anything else, that is probably my weakest time so happy. Took mylo for a walk then I had to make a few phone calls.
its my mum and dads 25th wedding anniversary today, and I had the meal and hotel stay sent to my sister for her to wrap. The plan was to find out where they were going for a meal, and then my sister would drop the gifts off with the restaurant, and after the meal they'll be given them.
Found out where they were going, so that's all sorted, but I seriously annoyed with my stupid ignorant uncle. He originally got married to his now ex wife on the same day as mum and dad. But now him and his new wife want to spend it with mum and dad, and my dad is soft, and because he's pestered my dads now said yes.
What a weirdo, that's a completely private thing! It should be romantic and now he's driving an hour and a half to ruin it!! Mum didn't sound happy about it, but I could tell she didn't want to make a fuss. I was tempted to call him last night and tell him he was being a selfish prick and he shouldn't go, but I know it will only start ww3 in our family.
Grrrrrrrr

anyway, not 100% on what to do for food today but I've got a reasonable plan
B- fruit and yoghurt
L- ww petit pain (hex b1), with quorn sandwhich meat, and some salad
D- spaghetti and meatballs or spaghetti bolognese (vege), cheese ( hex a)
desert- all bran choc crunch ( hex b2), muller light fudge desert (5 syns), banana.

Think that desert sounds yummy, and think it will help me stay on track to look forward to it.
Got gym induction at 2pm, need to walk mylo too, but belts hurting this morning, so waiting for painkillers to kick in before I try to walk him. Might try to go to a sw class tonight, but might just try a week in my own first, I might get one of those sealed money boxes and put my £5 a week in there, and when I get to target, I'll have quite a bit of money, and me and Chris could do something nice together.
Hoping I can be strong enough on my own.
Xx

Putting your £5 a week in a savings box sounds like a great idea. Imagine how much you'd have to treat yourself...! I'm sure you'd be able to stay on plan without going to class. I think the support on here is far more valuable and motivational than the class.

That's a pity about your uncle spoiling your mum and dad's special day. Some people really just don't think do they. I'm a bit of a softy like your dad though and I'd have probably ended up saying yes as well. Hopefully your mum and dad will still have a lovely day.

Loving the new avatar by the way, you look really lovely!

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Aromat is awesome! I use it for everything. Often I cook pasta in stock cubes then just sprinkle aromat on top :D it is great on cheese on toast too.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. But it is going from one extreme to another- take aways and pizza twice a day during the move followed by restaurants on holiday- to suddenly be back on superfree snacks with a gain to shift is taxing! But think about how great it'll be to get a juicy -4 or -5 after a full week on plan? :)
I'd put those fivers away for a shopping spree at goal ;) new wardrobe! I mean, why pay to go to a sw class you didnt like just to get weighed? I understand if people love the group and class but if you didnt like it at the new one then it's £20 a month that could go towards a new party dress or something when you're nice and slim!
X

Thanks Bev, my brother in law sent it to us, and I like it because my arms actually look lovely and skinny, they normally look really flabby.
Think I'm going to stick to doing it at home I think. I'm going to make a Wednesday morning my weigh day, the middle of the week, and that's when I weighed last week after holiday.

Been good today, stuck to plan, had a mugshot as a snack too as was hungry earlier but only 5 syns for the day, woop!
I need to go food shopping tomorrow, so I'll try to make some sort of rough plan for the week, so that I can buy only what I need.
Gym induction was a bit lame but at least I've got my fob to get me in now. Might go this weekend cos Chris is away.
I might try aqua fit on Thursday eve, see what I think. Not sure my swimming cossie will fit tho, and I'm sure my boobs will pop out of my bikinis if I'm bouncing about. He he. Need to start getting active again.
Xx

Weigh day!

Yay, weighed myself this morning, a week since I weighed when I got back from Spain, and I've gone from 13.8 to 13,2.4, that means I've lost 5.5lbs!! Yay!! I know that some of that is obviously going to be water weight or something, cos I was so bad over the weekend. But I'm still really happy, it's bringing me back closer to being in the 12's everyday again.
Tried to plan my meals last night but didn't really work... Will work on it this morning.

I did have a little snack last night, but it was just 2 quorn nuggets, only 0.5 each so only an extra syn taking my total to 6.

Taking mylo and uncles dog for a walk this morning, then need to go food shopping, and need to drop off some cvs this afternoon.
Mum and dad were soooo happy with their present :) they called and mum couldn't speak because she was crying so much. Bless her. Funniest thing is that they rang me first. He he. We'd all been joking about who they ring first was who they loved the most. Ha ha. Siblings hey.

Hope everybody has a lovely day xxx
