Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

I'll just echo what the others have said! Moving house is mega stressy....and SW often takes effort to cook things from scratch and use every utensil in your kitchen...which is difficult when its all packed up in boxes!! You've had a few off plan days...but it hasnt undone all the hard work you've already done and doesnt mean you cant get back on track just as easily once you're sorted and back in the zone!

I'm sure there's a fair bit of body magic going on with unpacking too, so the damage may not be as bad as you fear!
Tetris is totally right though...just because you're not following plan, doesnt mean you cant make some good choices from bad options (if that makes sense!)...
you can do it..and you'll be back to your old super on plan self in no time at all!
Make sure you post some pics of the new house so we can marvel at your hard work once you've got it sorted!!

Finished with my moving madness

Hi ladies, I am still alive. Lol. Had a very busy time lately but glad to be back at home. Thank you for all your pep talks :) they really helped.

Drove back to the old house Thursday to finish cleaning for our inspection on Friday. A bit more cleaning Friday morning, and then we passed!!! Woop, with flying colours in fact, she said it was the best sink she's ever seen. Lol. Chris' sister was going out in Manchester Saturday night for her 30th, my cousin said he would dog sit Mylo, so we booked a hotel and decided we should go. About half an hour later, I fell down the stairs :-( apparently a hazard of new carpets. So I spent Friday night on the sofa in pain with a hot water bottle under one bum cheek. Ill give you a bit of a giggle now. Rang my mum to ask what's good for bruising, butter she said, so I had to rub butter into a bum cheek, the top of a leg and a forearm.
Between the butter and the hot water bottle, I felt like I chicken being basted.

So Saturday we trawled up to Manchester, we got very cheap parking! £4.80 for 24 hours!! Was well shocked. Anyway we went to chiquitos for dinner, and then went out. Danced lots, didnt drink that much, so could have been worse. But we were starving this morning on the way home, and had KFC :-/. Took Mylo for a long when we got back, and made spag Bol, yum. But finished off a packet of biscuits too :-/

so we go to Spain a week tomorrow, and my bikini body really is not here, but I need to be good this week. Got SW with a new group in the morning, and I'm hoping to eat fairly healthy out there. We're in a villa, so I can control my food quite well, ill just try to avoid yummy fresh bread and eat lots of meat and salad.

Chris starts his new job tomorrow, so think ill try to take Mylo for a really long walk during the day, need to have a 100% week. I'm supposed to be out on Tuesday during the day for my cousins birthday but I think I might just stick to softies. I might lie and say I'm not feeling 100%, as I really could do with a good week. Bet I've put on loads of weight :-(, I've been avoiding my scales, don't think ill be friends with them when I do see them again tho :-(

anyway ladies, how has everyone else's weekend been?
Xx

Glad to hear you can see the light at the end of the tunnel with the stress of the move etc. The new class tomorrow will maybe be a fresh start for you and it'll be good to get you back on track.

I'm intrigued to know - did the butter work???? :) x

Don't beat yourself up huni pie!

It's been a busy tough week or two with not much opportunity to plan. It's not as though you will have undone all your hard work so far...so just keep focused on how far you've come and get back on the wagon this week! Going to group, weighing in and drawing a line under the last wee while will help I'm sure.

Hope you're not feeling too bruised still and can get out and explore your new area with mylo!
Xxx

Sooooo the verdict was +3.5, could have been worse! I'm determined to be much less when I go to Spain next week!!
Not sure about the group tho ;-/, think ill check out some other ones. I really loved group before,

bev, I really think the butter worked!! Apparently something in the fat that helps blood vessels. Healing ok, bum doesn't hurt to sit on sofa now, just the floor and dining chairs, as still quite sore :-/

right, I'm off exploring with Mylo, ill check in later.
Xx

3.5lb on is nothing to worry about at all. You've got a holiday to look forward to and I'm sure that will keep you on track this week.

I'll need to remember the butter tip, I bruise so easily! Glad you're on the mend x

Hey lovely! 3.5lb on is really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things! You've had weeks where you've got 4lbs off before right, so I'm sure it will be off again in no time! :)
Wow really not long until you go away, you must be so excited for a rest after all your manic-ness in the last couple of weeks! mmm some villa action with yummy spanish meat and salads sounds divine...! xxx

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Hey butterbum! Lol :D quite a story, that!
Must be a relief to have passed the insepction- yippee! How are you finding your new place??

3.5 will be gone in no time but you'll have to tighten the reins on your hol a bit- so easy to fall off the wagon while on hol, but if you're in a villa- so easy to cook good things :)

What about the new group did you not get on with? X

Howdy there my dear.

How are you? Just cathing up on all your goss. Hope the move went alright and you're settling in nicely. Have things got any better with your new group? I can imagine it's quite a daunting thing to have to start from scratch, espcailly when you have such good memories of a previous place.

Seen you haven't posted in a while, hope everything's alright. And remember we're always here if you need to vent. I know the only reason I've kept my spirits up is becuase I've had such great support from the girls on here.

x

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

EmmaB, where are youuuuu?

Post holiday catch up :)

Hi ladies!!!

I am indeed back from holiday now. Lol. Sorry haven't really been about, life has been quite crazy if I'm honest. I'll see if I can do a little catch up of big things.... And knowing me babbling. Lol.
The weekend before we went away we went upto Manchester for a night out for chris's sisters birthday. Went to chiquitos for dinner, and ate Tons and had tons of wine but did do a bit of boogying. Realised how much I miss a night out and a dance. KFC on the way home, omg, that's the just the tip of the iceberg with all the crap I've eaten!! :-/ I can tell its not good for me health wise, I list my voice for 4 days before we went, and tonsils up again, so think I need some veges.

so busy week before we came away, and a distraught me when it came to packing :-( all because of my stupid eating but still was all in a huff. If I'd have stuck to my diet, I'd have felt slim in my summer clothes, but instead I ate my weight in crap, and instead I've got a tum going on and felt majorly frumpy trying on my clothes.

So, off we go to Spain :-D happy days. I'm a little bit tanned ( not noticeable at all, I'm just less pasty really). But had such a relaxing time, read 3 books in a week. Had a couple of fab nights out, wish I could put a video of a band we watched up, but no idea how. They're called the soundz if anybody fancies checking them out. I think the website is soundz.co.uk, but such great singers, and the younger one was pretty dishy too. Lol. They're Irish and I'm such a sucker for an accent!! Lol. It was one of hubby's friends from when he lived there 7 years ago. So think he had fun too.

I hate too much bread and crisps and guacamole, but also walked at least a couple of miles each day :) scales Wernt really the nicest this morning, but really I should have expected worse. So tomorrow AM, sw is back on!! I need to get skinny!! My jeans just were too tight this morning.

My Grandma went into hospital while we were away. Poorly lady :-( think we're going to try to go and see her on Friday for the day, long day, 2 hrs drive each way but will be worth it to check she's ok bless her. She's trying to sell her house ATM to move closer, so hope it sells soon.
Got my nan round for tea tomorrow, going to do a chilli, lots of veges in it.
We got my beautiful puppy back this morning and he's been quite sulky and cuddly today bless him. Moved into the house for just over a week then left him for 10 days, will be good for him to get back to normality too. Chris' dad has a dog and they got another while we were there, made me miss by boy :-( was glad for cuddles.

Only thing exciting today was we booked my mum and dads anniversary present. It's there 25th wedding anniversary next week, so we've booked them into the Mayfair in London, they get their brekkie, and a bottle of champagne and choccies in the room, and also booked them into Marco Pierre Whites restaurant for a 3 course meal.
We wanted to do something a bit special. They've always said for their 25th, they go to Australia and watch the ashes together, but with buying the house and the amount if work it's needed they just can't afford it. :-(
but looks like they're moving in this weekend, so they'll have their house for their anniversary in Tuesday which will be nice :)

anyway ladies, I am off to my bed, I promise I'll catch up with u all tomorrow :) might take me all day tho, and my diary will be starting again too.... :-/ need you all to whip me into shape! Lol.
Night xx

Ohh, sounds like a really lovely holiday! I'm a complete sucker for Irish accents, swoon  Glad you had a nice time! That is a really amazing anniversary present too, I'm sure they will love it. Marco's restaurant is supposed to be incredible!

I hope your Grandma is okay! Good luck with the rest of your week! :) x

So nice to hear from you Emma. It sounds like you've had a crazy few weeks! Glad you had a good time in Spain though. Hope the scales are good to you tomorrow x

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Hey Em! Glad you're back- forgot you were going on hol and worried you'd fallen off the wagon and deserted us!
Glad you had such a fab time- sounds like perfect timing too after all the stress. How bad were the scales? ;) bet it'll be off in no time! Glad you are eager to get back on track. X
