Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

Back in the game!

Sorry I just keep disappearing. Life is so hectic. Enjoying it but hectic none the less. God I sound like my mum.
I got eyelash extensions done, cluster ones, I'm loving them, no Cloggy mascara, and I find that I can't seem to find mascara that lasts on all day, so by the time I leave work, I look a bit of a mess. Lol.
Any tips from anyone will be greatly appreciated!
Got my skin colour matched for a foundation at boots last week too, loving that it looks so natural. I'd ran out and using an old post holiday one, bit dark really.

I'd been getting headaches since I started the new job, figured it was down to computer work so got some glasses. Bogof so 2 pairs for £79. Cheap I thought :) think the novelty of wearing them will wear off soon.

Wow it sounds like you've got lots going on!

I always wanted glasses when I was younger then when i got then at 19 I hated them, the novelty wore off very quickly for me! Don't need to wear them often though and I've got contact lenses now too. Certainly hope your glasses will help with the headaches.

The eyelashes sound good. How long do they last and do they feel quite light? I've only worn falsies once and they felt really heavy x
 
Hi all,
just waiting for Chris to pick me up at the end of a long day. Ended up working 8-7 because we're short staffed today. Had a good day but my feet are very achy stood waiting.
It was the waddington air show this weekend and omg it was as if the world had gone crazy. It is massive. 78,000 people were there Saturday just to give an idea of scale.
I got majorly sunburnt from it tho :-( very very sore still. Got a gel aftersun spray so I've been spraying that quickly under my scrubs at work to try to keep cool.

Had a lovely picnic with my Aunty and uncle and my cousins little boy, a lovely wander round, and got to see the red arrows which I love. Grew up with them flying around us, and they're just phenomenal. I'll put up some the good pics I got.
Sunday I went with my aunt upto York to see my grandma who's still in hospital. She's being a bit of a pain in the arse tbh. She used to be a nurse before retiring, and she's a pain for the nurses trying to help her. She doesn't seem to be trying to get better. Hope she's better soon cos she's causing quite a lot hassle for my aunts and uncles ATM. Mum said she was saving up her meds last week and taking a big dose.
She should know better!! Naughty gran!! Lol.

My eyelashes are lovely :)) they are quite lightweight really. I can't even feel them now. So nice to not even bother about my eyes. I'll try to take a pic.... Lol.
Enjoying the novelty if glasses, really not used to them at all.
Food.... Not so great today-

b- strawberries and yoghurt
l- chicken, bacon and avocado wrap with chips
chocolate
d- pizza and chips!
Naughty em!

But diet properly starts again tomorrow!!! Food shop is done....
Hope we can stick to it. Probs will need to spend tomorrow night cooking lol.

Oh and works going well. One of the dentists has requested that I'm his permanent nurse. It's nice to know I'm doing a good job xx
 
There's an air show near me in September (I think it's still on anyway!) and I'd love to go but have never had a chance.

It sounds like your gran is being a bit naughty. They do say that those in the medical profession make the worst patients though. Hopefully she's on the mend.

Major wake up call!! Getting back on it!

Wake up call time!!!
Since my lightest weight, I've gained over half a stone. Why am I doing this to myself and ruining all my hardwork. It's pathetic really!!

Well I've decided I need to go back to group, doing it on my own obviously isn't working for me. Had a little look last night, but going to properly research different meetings and find a convenient one for me with work.
I also NEED to start exercising! I started gyming before I started work and haven't been since! I should be ashamed really. I know my energy levels are low, but I could probably do at least half an hour. And I'm ok til I sit down in the evening, so if I go before sitting down for tea, I'd be fine. Might be worth getting a routine of prep tea, stock in oven, gym then home to eat....

food plan for today:
breakfast- blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes. Yoghurt
snack- hifi bar if I need it
lunch- ryvita, laughing cow, same berries as breakfast. Got a mugshot with me if i need it.
Dinner- undecided.

Need to have a bit of a cooking session tonight, make up a yummy salad, some soup and maybe a casserole or curry or something, so depending on what I eat, it will change what type of day and if I need to syn my hifi.

On a lighter note, I seriously need to remember to sit somewhere different on the bus in the mornings!!! A man who gets on after me stinks soooo bad!!
and he seems to sit near me :-((
hopefully if I move, he won't follow. Lol.
Think I'm going to change all my current stats and restart.....

Sounds like a very forward thinking motivational note! I'm totally with you on the 'cant exercise once I've sat down' thing....but I find planning it into my daily routine helps...when I'm planning my food for the week, I plan the exercise too (Bev you do something similar right?!) and then I don't sit down until its done! :)

Your life sounds so hectic, I think you are maf to push yourself to exercise on top of all that, but you go girl!
I find it impossible to eat well if I am out early and havent prepared the night before. Might be best to try and work into you evening a ten minute slot to cook up some pasta/veg or chop up a salad to have with your mugshot or something? I have gotten so paranoid about being hungry while out now that I wont leave the house without a mini sw meal with me!

Eyelashes sound great! Would love to see a pic! Airshow pic is great too! I remember hearing something weird and looking out of the window to see the olyimpic red arrows flying over last summer :D x
 
Day 1 complete- yay!

Woah! I am a tired lady tonight.
Busy day at work, always seems busy, but my chair seems to have disappeared from my room, and my feet are really starting to ache!
So we've had tea and just sat watching some tea, before an early night. I feel shattered.
Chris suggested going to a local pub for tea, but I said no, I'm on my diet again. He also offered me a beer and I said no too :)

Food diary-
Breakfast- fruit and yoghurt
Lunch- 3 onion ryvita (hex b) with 2 laughing cow with emmentel (2/3 hex a) and 2 slices cathedral city light (1/3 hex a plus (4 syns)
snack- choc at work (2 syns)
dinner- pesto pasta with broccoli, mushroom, pepper, courgette, spinach and cherry tomatoes (5 syns for pesto)
snack- choc ice (5 syns)

if I work it out like this, I've eaten 16 syns, but I actually had a green day but with no extra hex a or hex b, so I'm not really too bothered. Looking at this I can see how easily I've put on weight without even being that bad!
tonight, I've made a salad for my lunch tomorrow, and I've marinated some pork chops ready for tea tomorrow.
I've also just roasted some bns to whip into a soup :)
We got some furniture arriving from ikea tomorrow so want a quick easy tea so we can sit and build it.

Food plan tomorrow-
breakfast- fruit and yoghurts
snack- pear
lunch- chicken salad ( 1 syn) for flavoured chicken, maybe some soup
dinner- pork chops (3 syns), green beans, babycorn, broccoli and cauliflower, maybe some new pots as a hex b

Hope everybody is ok?? Need my bed soon so I'll do my soup then ill be ready. Yay! Lol and a pic of lashes for you Sophie . Xx

yesterday went well too :) I had a sneaky peek on the scales this morning and it's good news, the numbers are going down!
I forgot to take my pear with me to work. Woops so no snack yesterday. And I had some pud but only 8 syns used yesterday :)
got dragged into working Saturday morning for an implant case too, so this week I'll be working a 45 hour week!

anyway food for today
breakfast- yoghurt
snack- small pear, clementine, alpen light (3 syns)
lunch- bns soup, 3x onion ryvita (hex b), laughing cow emmentelx2 (2/3 hex a) pineapple
Dinner- chicken and veg stew with mmash

i put chicken thighs, mushroom, carrots, 2 onions and peas into the slow cooker this morning. Hoping Chris remembered to turn it on, and it's turned into something yummy :)

got some new bedroom furniture from ikea yesterday. I love it already, so much more space in my draws.
Chris isn't really sticking to plan but hell eat dinner with me so usually loses a bit of weight.

Ha ha, when I said to Chris how much space I have now, he literally said you don't need to go shopping to fill it Emma.. Guess he knows how us women think! Lol.
I am so determined to get some weight off. I'm not happy how I am, so y the hell am I fannying about at the same weight? Think I'll need to loose about 1 st again to really feel any more difference, but my belly already feels flatter in my jeans cos I'm not bloated. Just shows me how much rubbish I was eating and not paying any attention.

So yesterday went to plan, although I think it was quite high with syns for dinner.
We had chicken and veg stew, which had gravy in it, not too sure on syns but was vegetable as I read somewhere that's the better one for syns.
And I had a bit of mash and a ww little roll with it, so 9 syns plus my gravy. But resisted anything sweet afterwards :)

i am a little less prepared foodwise today-
breakfast- yoghurt, strawberries, raspberries, grapes, blackberries, pineapple
lunch- thinking maybe a subway salad, (2-3 syns)
dinner- vege burgers (0.5 syns each), wholemeal roll (hex b), salad and sw chips.

Think that's a nice easy tea to finish off the week.
Im a bit apprehensive about tomorrow. I've not worked with the dentist or the nurse I'll be with tomorrow, before. Plus I've not done any implant work for about 6 years. I hope it all comes rushing back to me!! Would hate to mess anything up. I can be a bit clumsy :-/

my brother is moving up to live with us tomorrow too. Can't believe he's actually coming. Think we asked in February, so it's just seems a bit weird that its finally here. The house is all prepared for him, Chris has just got a few more bits of furniture to build. Lol.

Anyway, hope you all have a good friday and its goes nice and quick xxxx
 
Moving day

Hi all,
yesterday went well too, 4 days down, the weekend to go. Lol.
Food diary for yesterday
breakfast- berries, pineapple yoghurt
lunch- Cajun chicken salad from slug and lettuce (3 syns?), apple
dinner- whole meal roll (hexb ), 2 quorn type burgers (1 syn), cheese (hex a), sw chips, spaghetti hoops. Onion relish (3 syns)
Snack- freddo (5 syns)

yesterdays total was 12 syns.
Happy with myself for ordering a salad. Bought an apple after from tesco, and resisted cake at work. Did it 1 strawberry skittle but that would probably be tiny amount.

Got to work this morning before my brother gets here. Bit nervous really, not done any implant nursing in 6 years, technology will have completely changed in that time. And then I found out last night that its a sinusectomy. Not even sure what that is. Removing the sinus? How can u remove a gap in bone???
Guess I'll find out soon....

Weekend antics

Hi all, well had a sort of good, sort of awful weekend in terms of food.
Saturday was so much better at work than I expected! All my implant stuff started coming back to me and I really enjoyed it, despite being in scrubs, surgery gown, surgical gloves, face mask and hair net in all that heat! Lol. Was very ready to get out of it all!
We then went and bought a dishwasher before my brother came up. It's silver and lush. Planned to have a BBQ, but the weather turned, and they persuaded me into having dominos. She have said no, but I was picking it up, and didn't know what else to have. Naughty em!
So Saturday-
breakfast- fruit and yoghurt
lunch- low fat supernoodles
dinner- dominos
i didn't drink this weekend so that will have helped slightly. Lol.

Yesterday, we had to pop out in the morning, our dishwashers rinse aid cap was missing, got that and popped into asda for alpen light bars, £1 a box, so I bought 6 boxes lol. I don't think I've ever seen them that cheap!
Then we had our BBQ, went to the pub for a few hours, then got persuaded into an Indian.... Naughty em again!!

Breakfast- pear, clementine
lunch- pork chop, pork burger, salad, pesto pasta, 1 syns worth of dip I made, halloumi, made some vege kebabs but they didn't cook properly, so was a bit crunchy still.
Dinner- Indian

so need to get straight back on it!!!
Im doing 1-7 at work today so getting my lashes fixed before I go as quite a few fell out at the weekend in a big clump, looks awful ATM! Lol.

Its nice but weird having my brother living with us. He's great company, but it's odd not wandering naked for a wee in the middle of the night, and not being able to wander half dressed with my bedroom door open while I'm getting ready. Just things to get used to.
Me and Chris have been a bit bickery lately and when we took mylo for his walk last night, we had a proper heart to heart, hugged lots, and I think we're both feeling a lotlot better.

food plan for today
breakfast- fruit and yoghurt
lunch- leftover salad and pasta, maybe with some extra veges
dinner- I'm thinking maybe jacket potato, cheese and salad. Just think I fancy that.

Ill have to eat lunch before I get my bus at 12iish so I'm taking an alpen bar and some fruit as a snack, or I'll be starving at 7.
Hope the scales arnt too harsh tomorrow :) xx

I always find there's so much temptation at the weekend but at least the rest of your food was on plan and, as you say, you didn't drink so hopefully you'll still get a pretty good result on the scales tomorrow.

That's good you had a heart to heart with Chris. It's so easy to fall into the trap of just not communicating with each other properly. These chats are great to have every so often.

Glad all went well at work on Saturday x
 
Weigh day!

Weigh in day after week 1 and I've lost 4.6lbs!!!! Woohoo!
I probably could have done tons better than that, but I am pleased, makes a nice little dent into all my gains lately.
That makes me 13st 1.8
so I think my goal for next Tuesday is to be in the 12's again, even if its 12st 13.8 :)

my food went a bit wrong last night :-/ need to plan my evening meals a bit better, I think that's my weakness ATM. If its planned then I eat it. So maybe into getting up 10 mins earlier to prep something....
really struggling to sleep ATM, our boiler is in our bedroom!!!
and we have blackout blinds, so they're great cos its dark when you go to sleep, but an hour later you wake up sweating! Then I have to open the blind, where there's a street light, but at least you get a slight breeze. Then somebody wakes up with the sun to close it again, so your sweating.
Really not sure what we can do. I love the sun but all in doing is going between sweating at work and sweating in my bed at home!

Didnt get my lashes done yesterday, the lady's little girl was sick, so hit to do that tonight....
My sister in law invited us camping bank hol weekend in August, not sure if I can get time off anyway, but unsure if I want to go.
Its them, a couple friend and both couples under 2's. like the other couple but don't really imagine myself camping with toddlers? I like kids, but what do u do with them camping at that age? Well Chris wants to go, so I feel like a bit of a cow saying no. Not working that weekend at work, checked that, but sort of hoping I can't get Friday off and we can't go... Lol.

Food for today-
b- raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, yoghurt
l- mugshot
d- no idea again :-/

Running late this morning, so nothing really got planned.... Thinking ill go to tesco at lunch and get some fruit or something to eat with my mugshot.

Hope nobody's work is as hot and sweaty as mine!! Lol

Sounds like planning is the key...especially for dinner...and make sure those 2 monkey boys dont keep persuading you into naughty ways! I dont know how you manage as I'm such a sucker and have absolutely no willpower if someone suggests a naughty takeaway or meal out! :)
Alpen bars in asda sound a bargain...I must stock up!

So glad all is well with Chris after your heart to heart! Sometimes a bit chat to clear the air and get everything out is all you need to remember why you love each other in the first place!

Great that your bro is there now too! Hehe although I totally know what you mean about wandering about in the nudey! I've got the opposite issue...my sister is moving out, just leaving robbie and I to wander round naked all day if we fancy! haha!

Hope works ok and you get something planned for dinner!
