Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

Had a bit of a crap day yesterday all round :-(
my foot was in agony all day, tramadol wasn't really touching it, but it was sending me away with the fairies. Work wasn't the easiest. Morning was ok because I was with a dentist in with a lot. In the afternoon I tried writing notes for a different dentist. Was impossible, my head couldn't cope.
Had to switch and go on reception for the afternoon.

Went to the walk in clinic after work because I still haven't sorted a dr. Tut tut em, I know!
Havent snapped the Achilles, it's just very inflamed, so she prescribed me stronger anti inflammatories and painkillers that shouldn't make me as crazy at work. So far so good, not in hardly any pain, with my tablets. So so pleased. Brought my trainers to work, hopefully they'll give my heel a bit of support, and I might be able to start weight bearing again.

Got my induction at the college this morning, so got to walk across the city and back. Thinking I might order a taxi.... Feel lazy doing that tho.

Food was ok until dinner last night....
B- fruit, yoghurt
L- 3 ryvita (hex b), 2 laughing cow (2/3 hex a), apple, 2 peaches, alpen light.
D- chicken kebab! Freddo.
Got chicken kebab at 8.30 on the way home, still hadn't been home as we had to go see my nan after all my foot fuss.
Could have been worse, my brother got a large chips!

Not really got a plan today, but know I need to be good, as I'm at prezzos for dinner tomorrow night. So thinking salad for tea with cooked up mushrooms and bits in it, cos ging yours looked awesome the other night. Will see what I have time for at lunch, as will depend what time my induction finishes....

Not so good about your foot but I hope that the new meds do the trick. Food for yesterday doesn't look too bad - as you say, chicken kebab is hardly the worst thing you could have got so you still had your SW head on there. I'm with you on the trying to be supergood today and tomorrow because I'm out at night as well - a tapas restaurant for me. We'll just need to have our SW heads on again when it comes to making sensible choices.

thankfully these new meds are fantastic :) my foot is achy but not unbearable and the new painkillers are much better for working in surgery.
Had my college induction yesterday, was pretty good. Got to go a Thursday during the day every few weeks for about a year. They'll observe me at work, I'll have coursework and a final exam. It's a diploma in dental nursing. I've got a degree in dental technology, so I can make things like dentures, crowns, removable braces etc, but there's no jobs really, and since I'm following Chris around I can't go go where the jobs are. Got about 2 years experience in dental nursing, I just haven't got qualified yet. Lol.

Food wasn't as great as it should be yesterday but it was to plan. Scales arnt being very nice this week :-/ think maybe I'm eating too much portion wise.

Breakfast- fruit and yoghurt
lunch- baked potato, salad, Cajun chicken and cheese (1/2 hex a), (2 syns for marg), fruit pot
dinner- pesto spaghetti with courgette, mushrooms, fresh tomato and mangetout in. Garlic chicken, (1/2 hex a cheese)
desert- cherries

i was eating a lot of salads last week, and I think that, with not sweating as much at work has hampered my weightloss. I'm not expecting a big loss this week after 2 big weeks but even a tiny loss would be nice. Really wanted a freddo last night but I resisted. :)

so food plan for today-
breakfast- strawberries, blueberries, grapes, yoghurt
lunch- subway salad (3 syns)
dinner- prezzos

I'll make you all laugh now! I was still on tramadol wed night and booked zizzis instead of prezzos for dinner. I only realised last night when I opened up an Internet page on my phone and realised it said zizzis!! Lol. So glad I noticed, I'd have looked like such a muppet!
Had a look at the menu and thinking that the best options are risotto, tomato pasta or a salad. I might have a look again later. If we do starters the best would be chicken wings, which would be super messy so I'm not overly keen on that.

Not sure if well go to Alton towers tomorrow, my foot is walkable now, but not sure i want to push it. Want to make the most our merlin passes tho, and don't feel like we have really.

Glad you're managing a bit better with your foot now. I did have a giggle when I read that you'd booked Zizzi's instead of Prezzo :giggle: Alton Towers would be good so it's a pity you might not make it because of your foot. I'm sure you'll get there again soon though when you're feeling a bit better.

Not so good that the scales aren't being so good to you but I'm sure it'll sort itself out if you can stay on plan.

College sounds good. It will be good to get yourself another qualification. How often are you likely to move with Chris's job? Will you manage to see out the course? x
 
Well ladies, what a weekend! :-D

friday night was prezzos, was goodish with the food. Had a light choices pizza which comes with a side salad. It's practically half a pizza, and calorie wise was less than 500 cals which I thought was pretty good for a main meal. Anyway, we washed that down with half a bottle of wine.

Then we decided to go for a drink, she fancied a cocktail. I picked a dirty Cosmopolitan, but was 2 for 1 so I ended up with 2.... Then we carried on and I had another glass of wine. Was probably home around midnight, but I was definitely hungover Saturday morning.... :-/ I seriously don't drink anymore. Lol.

We were wondering wether to go to Alton towers with my foot being bad, but was ok Friday, then Laura and ollie decided to come with us. He's just got a new company car on Friday, so he drove on company fuel which was very nice. Had an awesome day out with them. I could tell my belly was still hungover but wasn't sick which was a miracle considering all the rides.
It was so quiet it was unreal, was brilliant. Queued less than 10 mins for nearly everything. Rita we bought a fast track for, so was 10 mins. Oblivion we literally walked to the front and were the next on. Crazy!! Queued for 1 hr 20 for the smiler but was well worth it!! It was incredible! Will definitely see if we can fit in another visit.
Nemesis sub terra tested my fight or flight reaction and I am definitely flight, they were laughing that I ran out. Lol.


Yesterday was super busy- gym (finallly), cleaned house, bathroom etc, made lunch, walked mylo, quick food shop and visit to pub.... Ended with chips and chocolate. Naughty em!!!

So Monday is a new day, and I need to get back on it. Got a half day Wednesday so hoping to register at docs, get my hair cut and get to the gym again.

Food plan today-
breakfast- berries, yoghurt
lunch, ryvita, emental laughing cow, quorn meat slices, berries
dinner- undecided but got healthy options. :)

Sounds like a great weekend Em! I think it seems we've all been a little naughty in the last few days...but mondays are good for getting straight back on it!
Alton towers sounds fab...glad your foot survived...and your belly!! :)

Glad you had a good weekend and I agree with Ging, I've just read others' diaries and it seems we all had an off-plan day or two this weekend! I'm sure it was worth it though and you sound like you are right back in the zone x
 
Sounds like a fun day! me and the OH are planning to go to Alton Towers in September sometime when the schools have all gone back. We went in July last year and it was crazy! everywhere was so packed and we queued for an hour & a half for Rita in the pouring rain :eek: it was worth it though, hoping it'll be quieter next time so fingers crossed :)

alton towers was awesome, I'm such an adrenaline junky. Lol. Can't wait to go back. Thinking first weekend kids are back at school after summer might be a good one.

food didn't go quite to plan yesterday but wasn't awfully off plan.
I went to boots at lunch, and just as I was paying the heavens opened. I was in a white vest top and floaty flowery trousers, and work a 10 min walk away :-/
so I went and found a brolly, because mine was ironically at work. Lol. And realised I wouldn't have time to sort my lunch. Bought a shapers meal, with a wholemeal wrap and ate as I walked. My trousers were still wet when I had to put them back on to go home, what a disgusting feeling! Lol.

Dinner was flavoured burgers, one in a wholemeal roll, with onions, sw chips and salad, sprinkling of grated cheese.
Was super yummy :) think burgers were a lot of people's meal of choice last night.
Was weak and went for a freddo.... But Chris had eaten them all, so no choc for me :-(

todays plan is green:
breakfast- strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, yoghurt
lunch- ryvita with laughing cow and quorn then some mixed berries
dinner- vege chilli with rice
desert- choc cereal, banana, strawberries, white choc muller yoghurt (5 syns)

waa weigh in this morning and I was 12st 12.4, so put on 0.2lbs this week. Bit gutted I put on, but considering how awfully offplan I'd been I'm glad it wasn't worse! Think the gym helped. Taking some toil tomorrow from work so hopefully I can get to the gym tomorrow for a little mid week boost.

0.2lb is nothing to worry about at all. They only work in ½lbs at class so that wouldn't have even registered as a gain, only a STS :)

At least you still had your SW head on while choosing lunch yesterday. It was probably one of the best choices you could have made there x

hope ur all well.happy hump day! I'm so childish that amuses me every week. Lol.
Food went mostly to plan yesterday. Didn't eat my fruit at lunch, I had chocolate cake instead. Just couldn't resist! Was bought for us by a dentist from this gorgeous patissie across the road. Everything there is to die for :) nom.
But didn't have my pudding after dinner last night, so that was the only syns I had yesterday.

Plan for today-red.
Breakfast- banana, choc cereal (hex b) and vanilla yoghurt
snack- berries should have eaten yesterday when get to work.
lunch- chicken tikka salad (1 syn)
dinner- chicken fajitas in lettuce wraps :)

We booked to go see mum and dad in law in Spain again last night, going for a long weekend at the start of October. I'd really like to be at 12 st by then so I think it works out at 8 weeks with 12lb to lose, which is manageable as long as I stick to it!

My holidays are the start of October too. It's nice that we're all in the same boat so we can (hopefully!) keep each other motivated. Where about in Spain are your in-laws?

I'm not sure what I'd do having all of those yummy cakes so close by, I struggle with avoiding the vending machine at my work!!

chris' dad lives near the town of Murcia, it's about an hour shy of alicante!
Well yesterday really didn't go to plan in terms of slimming world.

Breakfast- hex b cereal, banana, vanilla yoghurt
lunch- pasta with quorn meat in it
dinner- pizza

By the time I'd finished work, Been to the docs to register and then to hairdressers to get my hair cut, I didn't get home til gone 3 and I was starving and exhausted. Should have gone to gym before I sat down, but thought I'd go dizzy if I didn't eat before I went.
Fell asleep, and then Chris wanted pizza. It's a local place that makes them from scratch and they're lovely and thin but definitely not within syns :-/

so no gym and pizza! Not really to plan at all.
Plan for today-

breakfast- fruit, yoghurt, alpen bar,
lunch- chicken tikka salad, fruit.
Dinner- left over vege curry- maybe rice or baked potato with it.

Chris and probably my brother will be out tonight so think ill either have a super early night, or I'll go to the gym. I'll see how I feel, I'm utterly exhausted at the minute . Can't wait to get my injections again. These drinks don't seem to do enough. :-(
