Goldilukes Diary of a food zombie

Morning everyone, I'm 10.2.4 today so slowly going back down in the right direction. I'd love to see the 9s next week but we also have another girl due to have her pups so its likely going to knock my diet out of whack again. We will see. They never have their pups during the day when the vet is open, they always start at around 1am on a weekend too lol.

Menu yesterday

B bulletproof coffee
1 cream coffee

L cod fillet, swede and carrot mash 80g = 5g carb
pudding- 100ml double cream with raspberries, Morello cherries blended. Very nice and refrigerated tastes like a lovely fruity mousse, did add 1 tsp stevia.
D 1 slice hovis wheatgerm bread 9g carb with 100g chicken tikka sandwich filler 5g carb

s ox tongue, 1 Atkins mint bar.
I had around 13 of these bars left so decided to just eat 1 per evening with my last coffee, funnily enough no stomach pain at all and I'm still managing to go to the park normal. I can't however get away with eating these during the day or more than 1 per day. So until they are gone its 1 per night.

Water around 2-3 litres slacking for me
1 glass coke zero
3 soya cream coffees
1 cream coffee

its much milder weather here today and we have had bat people come every evening and stand in our garden with little sonar type things. We live on farmland and so we have loads of bats and owls. It's wonderful but wish the people would bugger off now, my dogs go mental! Lol hope you all have a great day!

Hi Hun,

Well done on bouncing back x, sounds like everything is all under control x. I'm shocked at how many carbs in the sandwich filler! They add flour and sugar to everything these days!

Have a great day x.

Congrats on the loss! :) seems you are really back in the groove. It's funny isn't it how we only notice what effects us once we have cut it out for a while then tried it out again. Can you imagine how used to eating bad we all must have been before any diets at all. I ate cake, choc, crisps, bread, pasta, rice, doughnuts, the lot. I reckon if I ate these again in those amounts id be in agony. My mam is the same, she cut out gluten around 2 years ago now and when ever she gets caught out she suffers tremendously. I've never heard of that book, will I get it on Amazon?

Yes, I got mine from Amazon. Reading it has prompted me to do a bit more research. I seem to have reached a sort of 'tipping point' - like the last straw, but more accurately, the last doughnut! :D After years of IBS and other problems, but just getting on with it at part of my life, suddenly now it is more severe. This is quite common apparently, after the body has taken the battering for years and years. After giving the wheat up for a while, then for a lot of people the symptoms are more severe if you re-introduce it. I am also finding it is taking me longer to feel benefits when I don't have any.

So, after today it is time for cold turkey - got to give my poor old body a break! I say after today because we have an afternoon tea already paid for this afternoon in Suffolk (on a *******). We were going to go in a couple of weeks, but then that would mean re-introducing the wheat/gluten after a fortnight off, which seems a bit silly. I am going to enjoy the experience, as it is likely to be the last actual afternoon tea out unless we take our own, or find somewhere that does gluten free sarnis, cakes and scones! I'm looking forward to starting tomorrow though as the pain and bloating is getting me down.

Not quite sure what minis didn't like about '*******' and why it starred it out!

Morning :)

My gp thinks that after two years of doing low carb (on and off, mostly off), it has increased my gluten sensitivity - but it doesn't bother me, just makes me more aware of the fact that wheat can have such a detrimental effect on my system - so best avoided (for me).

Moonie - good luck with your new start, hun, and enjoy your afternoon tea :)

Thanks Susie. I will enjoy it while I'm eating it, I'm sure. Probably not so much afterwards! ;)

... Takes Susie's hand, steps off the precipice into wheat-free territory...

LOL - much appreciated, I do feel a bit scared about it tbh! But millions of people manage, so I'm sure we will too :D Sorry to kidnap, Lauren!

Ooh.yes sorry Lauren. We've high jacked a bit. I sometimes forget which thread I'm on and just ramble away!

ooh I will pick it up :) I love reading about diets and how our bodies handle food :)
Hope you enjoy your afternoon tea, sounds lovely.

Oh and don't worry about hijacking my diary, it's nice to have other things to read on here apart from my daily droning:)

i believe it susie, it's amazing what the body gets used to and then once we cut down etc it can really make us suffer bringing it back in. I think my vlcd has affected me more than I'd imagined and is now catching up with me. Feel like I'm losing more hair than normal right now :( I loooooove my hair, it's shiny, thick and down to my butt, it's the only thing about me I love and it will be typical if I lose that.

Morning everyone, 10.2.4 again today which I'm happy with.

I've been eating carbs, quite a few too...;) deliberately to kick start things.
i decided to introduce a sandwich with 2 slices of wheatgerm bread for lunch or dinner usually dinner as if I have it for lunch I'm looking for a sofa or bed. Anyway my sandwich with filling is 25g carb all in all. After reading what Sammy posted on busys diary I think I will rethink this one but I'm up for experimenting.

i realised I have only lost 2-1/2 stones since march this year...so I'm seriously detouring at the moment, I need to change this because that's not a great loss at all. I am going to take this seriously now and get to 8.13 soon, there i said it again no going back :) I expect you all to hold me to it.

cant believe its been nearly a week since fudge had her girl. She is a heathy little squirmer and growing well. By the end of next week she should have her peepers open :))

menu yesterday.
the veg is like playing where's wally ;)

B 1 butter coffee
2 cream coffees
L 2 slices wheatgerm, 100g chicken tikka filling.

S tongue, 25g vintage cheddar, 1 pepperami, 4 tbs of my berry cream mouse I made from the day before.

D a good 100g of cooked roast beef from oven with 25g cheddar.

S 2 Atkins mint bars  only 1 more left and no mor getting bought in.

water at least 4 litres, 1 costa cream coffee, 1 soya coffee, 1 cream coffee.

i ate lots as you can see, in actual fact it's looking like I eat more than all of you put together but I'm happy to report my weight didnt go up.....now there is method in my madness because a few more days of this and then I intend to go clean and ditch the high carbs and bread. I'm hoping this will help me drop again and il just play around like this until I'm happy.

got 30 day shred coming, hand weights, exercise ball and matt :) can't wait to start.

hope you all are still awake ;) and hope you all have a great day!

Morning Lauren. Like the 'where's Wally?' comment! I think you're too hard on yourself though hun. 2 and a half stone is a fantastic achievement, so don't forget that! Some people find that chopping and changing things around a bit does give their body a kick-start to losing again, so hope it works for you. Gotta say though that doesn't look like 'a lot' of food to me, but then I am a bit of a piggy - which is why I'm here! ;)

Awww great to hear about Fudge's puppy :)

And ditto to what Moonie said, be proud of what you have achieved, hun, I would love to have sustained that kind of loss! xxx

Hi Lauren, Just remember that 2 1/2 stone is 35lbs and you've done it in 4 months! That's a fab amount of weight. You've got less than 20lbs to go to reach your goal, so see your doing great! I'm off to scoff a m&s raspberry & white chocolate eclair;)

Aww I bet Fudge's little girl is gorgeous

I agree with others, you've come a long way and are showing a very determined and positive attitude for the future too. Enjoy and celebrate your achievements Hun x

Lol moonwatcher I do feel like a. Little piggy too, are you sure my menu doesn't look huge? Every diary I look at they eat small amounts.
I think I need to be hard on myself because I have no support in this house whats so ever, oh doesn't even comment apart from calling me the little Atkins freak when I complain Im cold and I don't tell my son what I, doing as I don't want diets and problems to even be in his head. He eats very well Nd all fresh cooked meals courtesy of me.

Thanks SUsie, Val, busy and moonwatcher :) I mean it, you lot are always so lovely and supportive to me. I've got no support at home and do you know my mam never commented on my weight at all. I'd lost the 2-1/2 stone and she hadn't seen me since starting it, I arrived thinking she'd be so proud and all she said was "oh I love your new leather jacket" nothing about the weight loss so that upset me a bit but oh well.

Val I love m&s goodies :) you lucky thing......that eclair sounds delish but verrrryy naughty ;)

il also snap some pics of fudge and baby Thornton :)

Morning everyone, today I weigh 10.2 yeahhhhhh on the nose!

yesterdays menu
B 1 coconut oil cream coffee
2 cream coffees

L 2 slices wheatgerm with chicken tikka filling.
Snack pepperami, 25g vintage cheddar.

D salmon, swede and carrot mash, green beans and 4-5 tbs whole grain basmati rice = 20g carb maybe less since I didn't eat anywhere near the 125g for 26g carbs
S Atkins mint bar and 4 squares Lindt 85% dark choc.

1 costa iced americano with pouring cream.
1 cream coffees.

i am so desperate to wear nice new clothes but have a bit of saving to do and a lot to get rid of first, miserable oh wont indulge me in my new body and losses just yet :( poooo.
cant wait for my shred DVD and exercise bits and bobs :) I'm going to do them in the sitting room on a morning but that means I won't be on here as much because that's my diary update time, will try and figure something out or get up even earlier :) I like the sound of morning birds anyway.

my girl Tanya is having her puppies in a few days, she is close to bursting so there should be two or more in there. I'm hoping for a Black and Tan like her because we desperately need some gorgeous stud boys here Nd Black and Tan puppies look amazing like black teddies with orange eye brows and bow ties :) I will take pictures and share with you all if all goes well.

Have to dash now and get the gang up but will try and catch up more later on :) have a great day!

Goldi, no support is not good I am the same here.... OH doesn't even say a word about how I look :-/ at least we have tonnes of support on here, it's been what's kept me on track x
