Helen's quest for good health!

What a morning, been trying to pack the last of my stuff for holiday tomorrow (most of it got taken a week ago as we're going by train and my cousin has already driven down there) but the worst thing is the last minute stuff such a toiletries, hair dryer etc but I don't get home until 11ish from work tonight and I've got to get up at 4.30 for an Early shift as we're going straight from work tomorrow so in a bit of limbo.

Just having an early lunch before work, wish we were already on holiday instead of working.

Sunday 16th October (Late shift)

Breakfast: American pancakes (half the mixture as it makes quite a lot so 1/2 HEB and 1/2 of 0.5 lol!), strawberries and raspberries

Lunch: jacket potato, cheese (HEA) and beans, el salad cream (1.0)

Dinner: spicy sausage casserole (6.5)

Snacks: apple, banana, cherry tomatoes

Total syns: 8.0

Thanks for checking in on here Lisa and its great that the app is working properly again, have you updated your phone now?

Had a great time in Cornwall, it's so beautiful down there, had a hot tub on decking overlooking the sea, it was lovely. Had far too much to eat but could have been worse! Then had loads of fun at Family Reunion but consumed far too much alcohol! Back on track from today.

Only downside is I was in a lot of pain whilst away and had to see an emergency physio, then ran out of painkillers, seen NHS physio this morning but a bit confused as now seen three and they all have different ideas! All have agreed I shouldn't sit down too long so have decided to take this week off and start gentle exercise.

Monday 24th October (sick)

Brunch: bacon sarnie with 1tbsp brown sauce (HEB + 1.0)

Dinner: chilli (1.0), jacket potato, 42g reduced fat cheddar (HEA), 3 tbsp extra light salad cream (3.0)

Total syns: 5.0

I've just become a grandma (well step grandma) for the second time to a beautiful baby girl weighing 7lb 11oz, her mum says she's fat.. I just say she's beautiful!

Going to give swimming ago soon (hopefully not too full of kids being half term) and see how my back/hip does.

Tuesday 25th October (sick)

Breakfast: American pancakes (HEB + 0.5) with raspberries, strawberries, 1 tbsp maple syrup (2.0)

Lunch: super speed spicy tomato soup

Dinner: coop bonfire bangers x3 (12.0), mash and syn free onion gravy

Total syns: 14.5

Don't know why I had 3 sausages when I could have done with 2 but they were nice but not sure whether they were worth 12 syns though.

Congratulation wow grandma how fantastic :) sorry your back is not any better hope you get it sorted soon , swimming is probably the best exercise take it steady x

It's funny when my step daughter first got pregnant I was 29 and I said "please let me get to 30 before you have him".. Luckily she did! Now I'm a granny of 2 at 33.. Makes me feel really old but I love it, Jake is a bit confused with it (he'll be 4 beginning of January) spoke to him on the phone just now.

Enjoyed my swim earlier but I was only in the water 8 mins and was in quite a bit of pain so got out, still managed 16 lengths but that's slow for me, suppose its 8 minutes more than I've done for last 7 weeks... Will never get my platinum Body Magic at this rate.

Fed up this morning, in quite a bit of pain and can't get a Dr's appointment again, one of them called and said they don't arrange X-rays has to be done through NHS physio, she's the one physio who said I don't need one!

I told him I had gone sick as it hurts too much to sit down for too long and he said I can self certify and if I need longer then I'll need to be reassessed.. I just want someone to tell me what's wrong!!

He also said "you must stay active, don't just sit around", I said that's why I'm off sick so I'm not sat around, I've been swimming and walking .. But funny how at the beginning it was the Dr's who told me not to run or go to the gym.. Can't win!!

Sorry to hear your in so much pain... is there any chance of a second opinion? Keep badgering the medics til you get it sorted... xx

Just been to see the original physio who I had been seeing (the private one work was paying for) and she has now discharged me as she wants me to see a hip specialist, so have to see what they say.
