Hi hope all is well an your weekend has been good not seen you around for a few days take care xx
 
Sorry I've not been on for awhile, I also haven't been good!

Lost 4lb at weigh in on Thursday which I was pleased about having put on 5lb the week before but gone a bit haywire since and all I want to do is eat.. Crap!

Old car passed MOT and now have my new car which I love, did loads of shopping on Friday and have nearly all Christmas shopping done now, finished the horrendous trip (was packed in Milton Keynes) with a Nando's. Loads of bulk cooking done, risotto, chilli, spag Bol, Mexican bake, freezer is getting full again.

Am on Night shifts at the moment and my body doesn't know whether it's coming or going.. Perhaps thats why I'm eating junk, last Night today and then Late shift tomorrow, does anyone have any tips on sleeping because I never manage very well?!

Hope everyone's keeping well and sorry I haven't been on lately.

I lost the plot big style! Have been battling with the "give up the diet" & "don't give up the diet".. Today I think the "don't give up" is winning! I say think because I'm still not 100% convinced I have the willpower at the moment.

My Night shifts threw me completely this time for some reason, kept eating food that people had bought in that I usually resist, finished Nights and then had a Christmas party which I drank loads at, only bonus of drinking so much is that I only ate 2 of the 5 courses!

The next day had a friends birthday and had drinks and pizza, went to a Christmas food fair last Saturday and bought far too much naughty stuff.

So here we are almost a week later, I've not been on track one bit, have eaten loads of naughty stuff, actually don't feel good for it at all.

Kept wanting to come on minimins but then I knew I'd have to face up to the problem and I wasn't ready. I think I want to do this so I knew I had to come back.

Doesn't help that I can't get weighed for 3 weeks, always throws me a problem and I can't find another group that I can make.

I guess I need to start my diary afresh today, if not this is going to continue and I'll put all the weight back on again.. This is officially a kick up my own back side! I WILL food plan today and go shopping and write down what I eat!

Hey Helen missed you !! We all here for you to support an kick butt ;-)
Been really hard this end too, too many choc's an a few events planned, got a stinking cold, so feeling really sorry for myself and not been on plan, but we can do this !!!!
I don't go to class but wi on a Thursday feel free to join me when you can't get to class an we can do it together, caroline does the same. The more the merrier!!

Take each day one at a time, think everyone finds this time of the year the hardest, temptation everywhere, cold weather, parties etc but even if you aim for sts and any loss will be a bonus and then fully back on track in the new year.

Take care Hun and feel free to write on my diary any time if you need support I'm on here all the time welcome home ;-)

Aah thank you Lynica, sorry to hear you've been having a bad time too.

Something you said hit home, when you said its hard at this time of year I realised I've never been on a diet at this time of year! I've usually given up by now! That's got to be a bonus that I've stuck to it this long!

Helen I'm hanging on by my fingertips but I find that this site helps a lot. If I stayed away from it and you lovely people I'd be screwed!!!

This time of year is hard but I am dealing with it in small steps.

Like I've had 1 bad meal this week - but 20 good meals. Next week will be 2 bad and 19 good. As long as you're on plan inbetween I think it's ok :)

I am aming to maintain until January and if i lose anything - well that's a bonus ;)

I know I should have just come on here but I was ashamed!

Today feels really hard as I'm craving naughty things.. Chocolate, crisps etc! Might have a chocolate later and factor in the syns but if I do then I'm not scoffing it, I will sit and savour every last morsel!

Have marinated tomorrows butter chicken and also cooked speed soup for the next few days lunch so getting myself organised.

You have a great plan in place so that's good.

I find if you have no chocolate at all you really want it but if you have a little within syns you are ok. same with crisps I guess but I don't miss them.

I switched to 70% chocolate a few years ago and it's way better. I used to be a galaxy girl! It's better for you and you don't need as much to satisfy a chocolate craving.

Try it out. It's not as sweet but you get used to it SO quickly :)

Is it dark chocolate? I might give it a go, keep some in the cupboard for emergencies.. Although that might be lethal! X

Yeah but dark (eg bournville) is only about 60% cocoa. I like really dark so over 70% cocoa. So yummy and the higher you go the less you need :)

Friday 9th December (Leave)

First day back on plan after a couple of weeks off, dread to think how much I've put on but can't get to class so no idea how much!

Breakfast: 2x wholemeal toast (HEB), 28g low low cheese spread (1/2 HEA)

Lunch: Bloody Mary baked beans (2.0 syns - not worth it!), jacket potato, FF natural yogurt with seasoning

Dinner: chilli (2.0), potato wedges, 21g reduced fat cheddar (1/2 HEA)

Snacks:
Crabsticks
2x slices ham
1x lindor chocolate ball (4.0)

Total syns: 8.0

Ha ha yes they're new from Tesco's but you can't beat heinz! Couldn't find my usual syn free sweet chilli beans so tried these but not worth the syns.. Come on Tesco I want my sweet chilli beans!

Guessing the 2 syns is because they have vodka in them but couldn't taste the vodka! X

Just get normal beans and add chilli or paprika. Yum :)

Good idea, might give that a go, definitely prefer texture of Heinz.. Think I'm a baked bean snob! X
