Helen's quest for good health!

Look at them! chocolate! Xx

Mmm it was goodddd.. Hardest things was not licking your fingers Inbetween! We were definitely on the naughty and non artistic table! I made chilli, salty, ginger, cranberry, apricot chocolates and some coffee truffles, been tempted to make chocolate before at home but thought it would be too hard but it was relatively simple.

Ive never wanted chocolate so much lol xx

Funny thing is I'm not that much of a chocolate lover, I can take it or leave it most of the time, what I do love is sweeties (ie pick n mix) or savoury foods.. But when I want chocolate, I want it and I'm like a beast until I get it!

I love chocolate anytime anywhere Im not fussy!xx

This looks fun, I wouldn't mind a go at this myself, but only as a one off as I would just eat it all... I love chocolate with chilies...xx

Hi Helen
Loving all your goodies, :) how great to be able to add all those different flavours yummy, I'm like you can go ages without chic (still none for the lent challenge) but if I "need" some then I go for it ha ha
Hope you ok and your hip is good you enjoying the sunshine ?? Xx

Hip is still playing up pretty bad at the moment for some reason, we went shopping yesterday to MK so didn't get to see much of the sunshine and none here today!

Hi all, didn't get much chance to come on here yesterday, went shopping, took £100's worth of stuff back, that I'd bought for when I come out of uniform but didn't like but then ended up buying a dress and a jacket, the dress to wear to my granddaughters christening on Sunday.

Went to Nando's for lunch and thought I'd be good by avoiding the pittas, buns etc and having the chicken breast with the skin removed, no chips or coleslaw but spicy rice and corn on the cob.. Checked though and the chicken is 16 syns! I'm not going to count it that high as surely if I remove the skin, even with a little oil and marinade it's not going to be that high surely? Hope not!

Then got a massive chocolate craving.. Having said I rarely get them! Wanted to devour every chocolate I could imagine, I did have some but then came on period so maybe it was that.. Why though?!

So went over syns even though I didn't intend to, still really hoping for a loss tomorrow.. pretty please.. Fingers x'd

We got home and booked our holiday, to Turkey, hotel looks gorgeous but then saw that PKK had issued a terrorist attack to tourist areas the day before.. Great! We're still going, just have to keep our wits about us! Not going to let it ruin it as really looking forward to getting away x

Tuesday 20th March

Breakfast: 2x wholemeal toast (HEB), marmite

Lunch: Nando's chicken breast (16.0?), spicy rice (2.5), corn on the cob

Dinner: puttanesca, Parmesan cheese (HEA)

Snacks: chocolate (too many syns!)

Total syns: too many!

Hi Helen
We had a fantastic holiday in turkey where are you going? We stayed in Belek, it was boiling, but we went in August, so this time of the year it's probably just right ooh jealous now wish I had a holiday to look forward too, ;-)

That's good to hear someone's had a good time as we've always been to Cyprus and been told not to go to Turkey! Reading reviews it sounds like the pools might be a tad cold in April though, did you do much sightseeing or just lounge by the pool? If you did, what do you recommend? X

Glad you've booked your holiday :)

And they chocolate - yummy!!!!! I assume it may be all gone this time tomorrow! ;-)

Please do, good luck with him x

Not very impressed, put on a 1lb, I had a little chocolate, not particularly over syns, don't think my body likes Green days that much, think its possibly the extra HEB rather than the food I eat on Green, haven't really tried Red but trying to re work my plan for this week and change the Green I had planned back to EE.

Spoke to C after, said as my week was planned anyway perhaps don't write down but I don't think I can let go and do that! Was trying to clutch at straws and wondering if steroid injections can make you put on/maintain rather than lose? Not sure.

Really need to exercise but just don't know what, started kettle bells but struggling with those due to squats and lunges really not good for my hip, exercise DVD the same, not allowed to run or go spinning, thinking perhaps need to start walking, some lovely areas around here but need to get there first and it's fitting it in, 17 hour shift today and one next Wednesday as well, have to try and go after work Monday.

Sorry to go on and on, it's just hard when you put on when you're expecting a loss, also sorry for not going on your diaries, I will do but last night just didn't want to come on here and haven't time this morning, depending how busy I am I'll get on later x

Morning Helen
Sorry about your little gain I'm 2 up this week and really need a 100% week too, we can do this !!!
I was thinking about trying a few red/green days but they just confused me, mind you I was working and trying to look at same time, maybe over the weekend I will try and work out a few option to add in.
Take care huni and I hope your shift goes quickly xx

Sorry forgot to reply
Unfortunately we didn't move our big backsides for 10 days..... Then we felt we should try and see a little bit of turkey, but it was too blooming hot to walk around so only managed a trip to the next town. We also had the girls with us and they not interested in sightseeing.
Depends what floats your boat, lovely old ruins, boat trips, White water rafting, Turkish baths, there did seem loads to do and we would definately return just not in august.
You'll have a fab time which part you going to ?

Thanks hun, having a quick breather as haven't stopped since 6.30am and not sure I'll get a break tonight either so thought I'd catch 10 mins while I can as head starting to pound, beautiful out here.

Shame you put on too, I'll go for a 100% week but at the moment they don't seem to be helping my cause! Think I need to cut off a limb to get a loss.. I'll just keep plodding along and praying I start again soon!

Forgot to come on here and say that I took a cat to RSPCA yesterday as it'd been hanging around awhile, was getting thinner and thinner and we didn't know who the owner was.

They said it was microchipped but to somewhere in America.

Was quite sad leaving it as it was so friendly, then this morning I get a text from my neighbour saying this women was knocking asking if anyone had seen her cat! I thought he was winding me up but no, the cat is 21 and her little boy was crying and he didn't get a chance to say goodbye!

I was panicking as I thought they might have put him down but no they've gone to collect him and he's okay but I feel so guilty! X
