I've been reading and watching all your recent posts and have to say how chuffed I am that you have gone off to SW tonight and more importantly that you have decided to stay for the meeting Roch.

I'm convinced that this is how you'll begin to feel better about yourself and maybe meet some members who you'd be happy to go out with now and again. That would do your self esteem the world of good.

I hope you will come to one of the meets this year?:) I can't wait for the next one as it really is a two way street isn't it? You can listen and support people who are there and they will do the same for you. Everyone's a winner!!!!!

thats really exellent news about not needing the sleeping tabs, that in itself is a step in the right direction to improving your health.
Also good to hear your addapting to the GI plan well, & you should get good support from SW class.
how's the puppy, bet he's addorable :D

Hope everything went well tonight and I think it would be a good idea to stay to the class and mix with the others and get as much out of the class as possible.

I too need to come to terms with this, as beating myself up daily thinking I'm a failure because I'm hungry is most definately not healthy lol!
Also, I really believe that u're such a strong lady that u will get there. I tihnk the SW and GL combined is a brilliant idea - u'll get to meet people and staying to classes will definately motivate u hun. Let us know how it goes tonight!

Hey Chelle, how r u doing hun,Chelle hun there is no way that u r a failure in any shape or form. its taken me along time to realise and acknowledge that Ssing is not for everyone yes its a quick way to lose weight but i also think if u follow the right diet for your body ie for me the GL diet u could still lose large amounts and quite possibly over a period of time maybe as much as i would of done Ssing as it all balances out.

Thinking of you , at your meeting now i s'pose hope it all goes well so pleased for you, off the nytol thats a very positive change already i am really glad that your getting on with the gl plan .
I am poodling along trying not to think with my diet head its nearly impossible didn't realise i was so obsessed with food and dieting cant be healthy can it !
How do you find the choices on the gl plan i get so confused as to what you can and cant have but my book should be here soon .

With The Holford diet book,what i like about it is that it is so easy compared to the rest of the other books i have read, also this book is actually for people who want to lose weight not just maintain weight and live and eat healthily like most of the other books.
He sets out varied menus with all the receipes which means the whole family can eat the same meal just adding possibly more carbs for the rest of the family and the good thing is that they will be benefitting from the diet as well.

Julie hun i am already noticing the difference just after 5 days i have more energy and sleeping soooo much better, and have incorporated it with SW.

I must admit i am being ultra strict and not having the complete portion sizes of some of the foods like the carbs and just having more of the very low cal foods in the meal instead like the salads instead as i am sooo desperate to start feeling better about myself ,but i am phyisically not hungry and my blood sugars are so stable all the time and another massive bonus is that this diet is the best diet for POCS sufferers.

When i walked back in the meeting, i was shocked at the amount of peeps there,usually there is around 25, this time there was at least 50 and she stopped chatting to others and came over to me and gave me a big hug and kiss and welcomed me back and said to me dont worry if u have gained any weight, all that ,atters is that u have come back, she made me feel so comfortable.

I hope to come to the Ireland Meet, but now we have a puppy it might not be so easy for me to come as i will have to get someone to come and stay with Aaron at my home and thats not so easy, but i am working on it:D

Lacey u r always here to support me and have done for sooo long ever since i frist started chatting to u on Dh or was it on the pink site i cant remember which, but i do remember u promising me to give me a full monty kick up the arse when i was messing around and needed some serious motivation.

I do feel more positive now i have acknowledged that i am not going to Ss and i am starting to feel the beenfits.
I have wasted so much time and i am now practically 39 and i dont have a career and i feel like it is possibly 2 late 2 even think of training to be a social worker now as i still need to do the Access course, which i planned to do last september but becuase of my weight i could not manage the stairs.Even if i did my access course this September i still have 4 years more studying ahead of me so i would not qaulify till i am 44 and i doubt any local authority would think about hireing a newly qualified Social worker who is so old, and also to tell u the truth i am worried that i might find the course work to hard,:sigh: i dont know if i am accademically up 2 it.

I often sit down and just think how i have ruined my life by overeating and how my life could of been if i had just taken things into hand and not messed around many years ago, maybe it is 2 late for me to follow my chosen career i really dont know !!

Sorry for ths wingeing but sometimes reality just comes up and bites u on the bum and u have to come to terms with the consequences of your actions, in my case my adiction with food !!!

Enough about me, how r u doing hun, are u feeling better now and completely over the virus.
Are u still doing Aam or r u back on SSing.

Hi Cheryl, how r u doing hun.Yes i am well chuffed on not needing sleeping tabs and to be sleeping well for the first time in so many years.
The gl plan is really a fab diet and i am thoroughly enjoying it.
My puppy Ebony is a totally mad pup but is sooo gorgeous i cant manage being without her now, which is funny as i am not a animal person.
She has her second jabs next friday so she can go out for walks then, i am soo looking forward to that, i am going to take her out for a little walk and wee every hour whilst aaron is at school then he will take over when he comes home, hopefully she will soon be hose trained.

Hi My friend Irene, how r u doing hun and how has your week been.
The class went very well and i am so pleased i went back.
I told the leader that i wont be following the normal plan but incorporating it with low Gl and she said thats fine.
When u look at the Sw diet especially the green days there are sooo many high gl carbs there and they encourage u to eat as much of it as u want, its really not a good and healthy way to lose weight.
Its so easy to swap high gi carbs for healthier options with a lower gl count but none of the big slimming clubs encourage you to do this and there is so much eveidence around that low gl eating is the healthiest and best option for most people especially if u r trying to lsoe weight.

Anyway i am seriously going on and on today, think i must get off my soap box and go and have some breakfast and do some housework, been here on the pc, on the site since 7.10 am :D :D

Hi Jayne, she is a Staffordshsire Bull Terrier and she is black brindle and is soooo pretty, my friend and i just gave her a bath, she kind of liked it but after 5 mind she had enough.
Also my friend`s puppy is Ebonys` big Bro and is one day older than her they have the same mum but dufferent dad`s and the ran around like lunatics for 30 mins jumping on each other and now she is so shattered she is sleeping on her pullow in her bed snoring away.
Will try and sort out the pics when Aaron comes home from school x

So glad your in a good place and reaping the rewards . My book arrived this afternoon and have just seen it will have long read tomorrow !

So far so good still being fairly sensible and feel alot more in control than this time last week !
Enjoying fruit and veg again and not stuffing myself full of junk feel better already !
