How to lose half your body weight in 10 days (Or a bit longer!)

Ah thanks gilly. I will be off to weigh as soon as my son finishes faffing with his breakfast!

Hope you lost Fran, you really deserve it!! X

I stayed the same. Been given fast forward pack which I will read through and do next week should I not get a good loss this week in doing a 7 day planner from an old magazine which is supposed to guarantee a 4lb loss. I'm both fed up, pee'd off and determined. I know comfort eating won't get me where I want to be so I am sticking to my guns. I can't do ff this week as I have all the meals planned and the food shopping coming in a few hours.

Aww Fran that is so disappointing, I understand how you feel, my stupid body does this to me also. Glad you are determined tho that is a positive thing. I hope you get a good loss next week & then maybe don't have to do FF?

I hope so. If I can lose 9.5lbs one month and gain 1.5lbs the next by doing the same thing (other than the 0.5lb deserved gain). It is just 1lb up, but it is 1lb up instead of several lbs down so the difference is huge. Mum decided she wanted risotto not stir fry, which was fine as it was on plan.

Had a hungry day, I usually do on Wednesday for some reason. Had my heb and hea and planning on a kitkat chunky later. Nate is excited for bed so it should be an easy night. Nate bed, put in laundry, wash bottles and washing up from today then relax! I got a new magazine instead of a slab of chocolate to drown my sorrows in!

I'm in a bit of a mood but thanks all the same ladies :)

Ooh I'd be interested to see the 4lb loss plan! Which magazine is it from? Sorry it was a STS - it's bloomin' frustrating when it happens once, let alone in a row with some undeserved gains chucked in. Fingers crossed this week works and your body's just been taking a break to reshuffle itself.

Well done for picking a magazine instead of chocolate - I don't know that I would have been as good after your run of luck!

Bummer Fran its so frustrating. I hope the 7 day planner works for you hun. You deserve a fantastic loss and well done on the determination and also the willpower for resisting the choccy. I have everything crossed for you for the week ahead x

Thanks guys. I'm pretty pleased I've been 100% again today. I even doshed out salad with the jacket potato my dad made for me to make sure I had my superfree. I've had 13 syns on a kitkat peanut butter this evening and I've just been doing crochet. I took some grapes out of the fridge incase I got peckish but I've left them alone. And I've kept my pepsi max down to 2 glasses with the rest being fizzy water or squash. Having fish tomorrow :)

Emily, all the 7 day planners in the magazines are supposed to give a 4lb loss. either that or my C just lies to us. haha. I'm using one from march/april 2010 tomorrow is fruit and yogurt and bran flakes (I'll use a different cereal though). I've not had cereal in ages so that's gonna be a good change. then an omelette for lunch OR we might well use up the rest of the chilli from the chilli jacket potatoes today. then tea is oriental baked fish, sounds really tasty so I hope it goes well and we'll have it with extra pak choi, mange tous and noodles. I'll probably use my hea at lunch.

It just gets to me when there are people who go "ooh, I had 2 packets of biscuits and i went out for dinner 3 nights, oh and we had cream tea on sunday" and they lose 1-2lbs and/or they've been going to sw for years and years and they never lose the weight, where as I want this so much and work really hard, stick to it, and get crap week after crap week. It was good, a lady has started coming to our group and she lost 7 stone before and she got stuck at around 5.5 stones and did the fast forward and it really boosted everything so fingers crossed if I do have to do FF it will get everything moving again. It was funny, I brought my food diary with me and my C said "I know you're food will have been spot on, you know the plan inside out" which was encouraging... mind last week she called me a walking syn directory. haha.

I'm just grumpy. I am, however thrilled by both of your losses! Gold stars to the pair of you :)

I have been reading the 20s thread but don't want to be all negative and stuff on there.

Aww don't worry about it - we'll seek you out anyway! My biggest loss to date is 3.5lbs so I'd be amazed if a plan could actually give me a 4lb loss!

We have quite a few naughties at group that eat what they want (one had ribs, calzone, chocolates, biscuits etc over 3 days and still lost) but we also have some amazing people who stick to plan religiously. One couple lost 5lbs and 7.5lbs each this week! Granted it was their first week back on plan after a holiday but they are inspirational. They had a sticky patch where they just weren't losing - or he was losing but she wasn't. It was a really frustrating plateau but the good losses are back again for them. You'll have a breakthrough week eventually - hopefully it's this one!

It annoys me to Fran - I guarantee I put at least 99.9% into my week and its annoying ( even tonight ) to hear people bragging about what they have had, one girl weighed herself at home and her scales said 2 off, so she said oh 2 off I can go crazy so she continued to go out, have a 3 course meal, 2 bottles of wine, and then she knows the owner of the restaurant so he brought a tray over with a sample of ALL the desserts and she picked at those too. She went out on the drink the next night with the girls and had cheesy chips with garlic ......... lost 2.5lbs. I sat listening and smiling thru gritted teeth at my C, she must have been thinking to herself im wasting my time trying to help you with the plan.

Then another joined 2 weeks ago, lost 13lbs last week, 1.5 this week and was gutted it wasnt more. When C asked her the usual, have you had your hex's and syns etc, did you keep track the answer ..... NO. What does she expect. All she could say was I tried not to have many syns.

Lol stalker :p How're things with the OH re jobs? 4lbs is my best and I've done it 3 times in a week, once i lost 4lbs but I'd missed the previous week, 2 of the 4lb losses were last month!

It's hard when 2 people go and one loses and the other doesn't. It happened with me and mum, turned out hers was because of an undiagnosed health problem which is now fixed so she'll be kicking my butt now. those are some amazing losses. One lady joined last week and she lost 9lbs today. such a monster loss. I do like my group because most of them are so honest with their week, and everyone seems to really care. I had a few people come to me at the end to say I've done really well and they can see my figure coming through and to not let the scales get to me, which is just lovely. And when I met up with mum the cafe owner and her daughter both said I looked really good and asked how much I'd lost now. Then they made a big fuss over Nate. He loves it there he gets extra free biscuits. Hehe. So that was really nice too. Other than the lady who lost 7 stone about 8 years ago, I've lost the most in my group now so I feel like i'm taking the piss when I get frustrated at needing to lose more, but I see it as I am still bigger than most people's starting weights!

Lol texty, I can understand people doing that, especially at the start of their weight loss, they see a huge loss like that and relax and get a much smaller one (still a loss because they're probably still eating better than before). I bet you wanted to ram a cheesecake down her throat... I would! The issue is she's not changing her habits so if she does manage to lose the weight, without changing habits she will struggle to maintain that loss. Hopefully she will learn to change her habits before then.

Hey honey, still playing catch up on everyone's diaries! Sorry to hear about the gain :( maybe following the suggested weeks food will help, I don't see why not?! And if it doesn't then you have full reason to go back guns blazing :D you aren't the first one to mention FF this week, I'm wondering if it's something I should speak to my C about. I'll see how I get on at WI over the next month and maybe ask if I'm still up and down (I know this week was a deserved gain for me but I've been yo-yoing for a whole month!)

Hope you and Nate have a fab day xxx

Hi hun, my c offered it me last week and I said I didn't want to do it, but after being extra strict the past week and going no where I said ok I'd do it next week (I have to plan and shop before WI because I can't get to the shops).

Fast forward is extra strict, there is no free food, so if you are hungry and you have used your points then tough. And you can only eat what is on the list and everything has To be measured. You can definitely ask your c about it. I know how horrid it is after helping mum through it.

Hope you have a good day at work :)

We've found one job that's coming up there that will probably be advertised mid-March. He has some experience of the sort of thing it entails but I think he's a bit hesitant because there's a mention of UK travel and he currently can't drive due to nerve damage in his foot.

We had a chat with the recruiter (my mentor/OH's boss) and he gave us a few options. He also mentioned me either taking up post but coming back if I found it too much to bear personally or just turning it down - which I really don't want to do! OH is happy to look for jobs but it will mean changing specialism - I am constantly checking myself to make sure I'm being supportive and encouraging rather than pushy. No complaints from him so far but it's a fine line I think!

On the plus side - I've managed to convince him that if we but a house up there we can do it through Location, Location, Location!

So... day 2 of this week is going well. Need to remember just because mum is really hungry I don't need to match her because I'm alright. haha. I'm doing fine though. I even forced her to have her 1/3 superfree by plonking salad on her plate when she went out of the kitchen without asking her.

B: fruit (melon, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, most of a banana), mullerlight and 35g blueberry wheats (HEB)
s: none
L: omelette, mushrooms, 40g reduced fat cheddar (HEA), ham, salad, tomatoes, cucumber, kraft light french dressing, wedges. Thankfully mum prepped the wedges and accidentally over cooked them so there weren't many. hurrah.

I basically just want to meet Kirsty. And take all the stress out of it and get them to put the offers in! I do reassure him that we don't have to go and it's his decision too - but he's so lovely I think he'd do anything for me. It's no good if he makes a sacrifice that makes him miserable and he ends up resenting me though.

I used to love Raisin Wheats - I bet you don't get many of them for your 35g though?! I've taken to having a bowl of berries with Mullerlight and 35g porridge oats and it seems to be serving me better than my Bran Flakes. Your food sounds really good. Wedges are a weakness - I might have to get the OH to make some (he manages to make everything beautifully crispy with FryLight in a way I never have!)

It is potatoes in general I'm a bit nutty for. I am the chip queen with that air fryer. I love it.

Bless your OH sounds like a sweetie. Is he usually honest or does he usually keep quiet and then get angry over nothing at all (like over a shower cap, lol). Any decision doesn't have to be permanent though. Other than seeing kirsty and hugging her. I might have to find out your filming day and pounce on her... She is pretty sturdy I don't think i'd completely flatten her.

Made oriental fish with noodles. Stirfry veg in a parcel, pal choi and mange tous and I'm hungry again. Haha. Fish always leaves me so hungry an hour later. The fish was nice, the veg kinda sucked, I wish I had baked the fish and stir fried the veg.

Saving the best 'til last.... I got a letter through about the house! When she called I was 27th in line for 4 houses. But that was before they checked who had a local connection here. She said if I didn't hear anything I didn't get it. But I got a letter saying they're coming round to the house on Tuesday, I have a form to fill in too, and then they will say whether or not I can have the house. Going to point out this place is a b&b that doesn't accept kids. So in season (easter to November) Nate and I are above the garage in a room and as he is getting older it is harder. Then in the house he has to come into my room whenever we have my nieces because he wakes them and vice versa. If mum isn't skulking around I will say how she has tried to/almost kicked us out twice. And dad is 57 he can do without a toddler jumping on him all the time. Really hope they will listen and see beyond the big house. Still YAY it is looking more likely as i had given up hope. All I need is her to say yes on Tuesday then have lost 3lbs on Wednesday. Haha.
