IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

Thank you all. 1K up on yesterday's weight, so maybe the scales were a little awry (but I did have veg last night, and ate late after dentist appointment!). Still, that's just 500g up on departure weight, so I'm smiling :)

Good idea Anja - to be honest, it never occurred to me that people might do that! (Probably the three pints some downed before the meal didn't help either, grrr!)

Sarah - yes my cousin has had cancer for a while so it was "expected".

Another positive is that I'm on my own this week - OH and cats took off for the country yesterday morning, and OH is planting our veg seeds as I type! Last night, although I did eat extra jelly, it didn't cross my mind to eat anything else!

Southampton are promoted to the Championship. Just thought I'd mention it. One glimmer of sunshine on my horizon!

Hi there - well I'm not really sure what I'll qualify as "goal". I'm around and about but my tailored size 12s don't fit properly. I'm a bit skinny (ok I admit it) at the top but bumpy round the belly. I'm tempted to try for another couple of kilos, but not overly manic.

For now, I'm alternating PP/PV, without attack, and just biding my time until I know when I return to the UK. I've a few apples in the fridge if I dare stay out of ketosis (not sure yet!) but it'd be a slow entry anyway with veg last night!

Given that I'm not in ketosis now, so must have regained the glycogen store, I am pleased with my weight... but would like to lose more belly!

So its likely exercise that would help more then ;)

Apparently the potassium in asparagus helps with belly flab, no idea if its true but theres loads of lovely sticks of it on offer at the moment.

morning hun

Jaq - or an operation!! My excess skin is rather visible on my arms in the photos I posted; the belly and leg skin I keep under wraps (but might show you guys a leg one cos my birthday dress was rather short!)

Thanks scrumps! It's so hard, isn't it, with guests etc. As I said before going, I ALMOST didn't want to go because of the old food thing and that's silly. We can't let this take over our lives (52 weeks a year; perhaps just 48?!!)

Off to post more photos

I went to a play a few weeks ago with the very skinny Sienna Miller in and she had weird baggy skin round her knees. Made me less jealous of her so flat it curves inwards tum.

Is that the lovely spotty/kind of animal print dress you're wearing in the latest photos? 'Cos if so, you look absobloodylutely fabulous, young lady! Seriously, your legs are fine and it makes you look as though you're in your 20's!

I'm tempted to buy one for myself!

I don't know whether your husband is one for remarking on what you wear (many men don't), but surely he must have raved about how lovely you looked in it! :D

Lovely photos and dress, I can only echo what DD / Sue just said you look in your 20s there! No worries about the legs either.

You're all so kind. I guess we fixate on certain parts of us which aren't as we'd like and only see them.

I received a gift voucher for my Kindle and have just ordered the Millennium trilogy per [Emma's / DD's] recommendation!

ooops am I still mixing names up - will stick to nicknames - apologies DD!! Yes, I am (still) fixated on my tum - must post some Easter pictures later! There are actually some of me this time!

That's so true. Also, even when out lumps and bumps have gone, it's difficult to convince yourself that they're still not there. Maybe a force of habit because we still expect ourselves to look big?

Hurray for buying the Millennium trilogy! Don't know whether it was just me, but I found the first bit of the first book a bit tedious. Stick with it if you find the same thing, though, as it's well worth reading in. The story kicks into gear and whooooosh, off it goes!

You got my name right, Anja - unless you've edited it since posting. :D No apologies required!

Looking forward to seeing your new pics.

I'm currently on Memoirs of a Geisha (at home on Kindle) and something else I forget in my backpack for my journey... so I'm glad the trilogy will be awaiting me at the end. I'll be sure to persevere, thanks for the tip!

Remember to let us know what you think of them! :)

Morning Jo. Lovely photos - apart from some of my facial expressions :) - but a lovely memory of the day. Lovely pictures of you - loving the dress! Trying to work this morning while the builders destroy the old conservatory and dig the footings for the new one. Mung is sat on the windowsill glued to proceedings and charming/distracting the builders!

Check out the menu board... we have some newbies starving themselves (and an oldtimer too!)
