Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

Hi all just realised this thread! I'm going to slimming world kilkenny since December and am 2 pound off my six stone award! I love the classes so would love to pick up tips from outside my own class!
 
Welcome and wow kinneak. Amazing weight loss.

How is everyone else. I went for a walk earlier and just did 10 mins hula hooping.

Trying my best to stay away from fruit cause I dont think they are helping lately.

Thanks redsters! I had a bit of a busy weekend but got back on track by going to my slimmings worlds fitness class last night! I find that whenever I have a week with a lot of berries I lose the most !
 
Ok here's a question for you girl's. We all seem to have a fascination with treating ourselves when we have a night when hubby/partner is out. It got me curious or nosey :p.

1. So what is your favourite treat after weigh in?
2. And if calories meant nothing favourite treat?
3. What food do you associate with time to yourself?

My answers
1. Apple crumble with custard
2. Blackforest gateaux
3. Prawn curry followed by gooey brownie

My answers :
1. A cafe breakfast at meet up with my buddies.
2. Pizza or Chinese buffet
3. Pizza & cadburys chocolate & crisps

I still do the cafe brekkie nearly once a week as it's my chance to meet-up with all the mammys & catch up,the rest I'm limiting to be covered by syns or special occasions. I'm trying to replace food with other treats like magazines or beauty products (another obsessions).Been doing my nails to stop me munching.

1. A hot chocolate and a bag of malteasers
2. Chinese out with the girls with everything deep fried as a starter, a curry and a chocolate dessert!
3. Cupcakes!! Used to eat them by the carton before my boyfriend got home!

When do ye find the hardest? I find a Sunday evening the worst! All I want is a treat before Monday comes!
 
Weighed in last night, was shocked to be honest, 6lbs loss. I was also asked to be on the social committee so I was helping with the shop last night.

I find if I'm not in my house or out & about is the hardest, it's all about being in control of my food, so to combat this I either......

1. Eat before I go out out, keep piece of fruit & cereal bar in my handbag.
2. Take my food with me. (Family are getting used to me turning up with tupperware).
3. If I'm staying over I take a couple of bits with me, sweetner, frylight, salad dressing.
 
I find the hardest Saturday afternoon when hubby takes kids to his parents and downloads me a girly movie. I always feel I need something comforting.
 
Izzy I know how you feel. Just stick to it this week and it will be off double next. I put on 2lbs :cry:Thats picking at the bloody chocolate biscuit cake and drinking coke zero. I wouldn't mind but wanted to lose at least 6lbs in 3 weeks cause its my brothers wedding.

Fergus that is absolutely amazing, well done.
 
Hey! From Galway and just joined SW last week. So 4lbs down last night at my first first weigh in but a ways to go. Looking forward to reading back over this thread for local tips. :)

Well done that's amazing! I joined my social team last week too as I'm getting close to setting my target and want to keep going once its reached!
 
Well, weighed in yesterday an up a half pound...that was all my birthday celebrations last week :badmood:

A half pound is an achievement on your birthday you should be proud! Imagine what it would be if you weren't on a diet! And it'll be easy to lose by next week as its only been on you a week! I felt like crap when I went on holidays and out on 3 pound! But it kicked me into gear and I ended up loosing 6 pound the next week!

Took ages to get home after work because of protests. Personally I don't see the point of halting the city centre like that.

All they did was piss people off and help the garda pay package sine a lot of overtime would have resulted from today ...
