Issywizzywoo's Qwerty Diet

Well I'm hitting the "RESTART" button, had a hopeless week last week, only mad worse by the guilts which lead to eating even more rubbish.

Just back from a healthy shop, have weigh-in tonight, so gonna try have a great week, already have some big walks planned with a persistant friend (she will INSIST on going), so hoping weather stays dryish.

How you doing Kay??When's your scan happening?
 
Oh & the soya mince turned out lovely, was quite surprised actually, will definately make use of it, be great for chilli & bolognese on a green day me thinks!! Was very inexpensive too, though can't remember how much off hand coz I bought it months ago & it was languishing sadly in my cupboard, I had no idea what to do with it.

My scan is on Wednesday this week, I hope it all goes well. I lost 4 lbs last week, I get weighed tom morn and think I will sts. I am really bloated with all the meds I am taking its annoying. Anyway with regards to the soya mince, is that the same as Quorn mince because I think it is. I love Quorn mince and its free ! I make a lovely potato, pea and mince curry with it and serve it with basmati rice, its lush for dinner and its all free. I have the recipe for it on my thread. How are you feeling about weigh in tonight, did you have a good food week ? Did your little Issy's enjoy Halloween ?

Oh good look with your scan Kay!! Meds reek havoc with the bloating don't they, you did really well to lose the 4lbs:0clapper:

Yeah I think the soya mince might be the "dry" version of quorn iykwim, I got it beside the lentils in Tesco, you reconstitute it with liquids & a little went a long way, it's very bland but works well with loads of spice, I added peri peri & it was quite tasty. It that a keema curry, what page of your diary is it on, I'd love to try it.

The Mini Issy's had a great Halloween, went to four parties over the space of the week. They love dressing up.

Foodwise I was a disaster last week, I ate the weight of a small child in Halloween treats, it was ridiculous!! I was relieved to get up this morning & just restart. Can't wait to get on the scales, hear the damage & get it over & done with.

The Potato Pea and Mince curry is recipe number 48 on page 13 of my thread :). If you are unable to get some of the ingredients, just pop me a note on my thread, some things you can substitute or even go without and still make the curry, I'll let you know which ones. Wow sounds like the girls had lots of fun over Halloween and mum enjoyed the treats too :D ! It's all good. My weakness is chocolate too. Good luck for tonight, will pop in later to see how you got on.

They are different..... both are vegetable proteins, but soya is well soya and quorn is mushroom
 
I'm in the queue at the early session of my Group such is my desire to get this weigh-in done & dusted.

The mini-Issy's are set up in a corner doing their homework :)
 
I'm trying out the different times that my group have & see what suits.The 7.30 group can be very late,I end up starving & leaving my dinner till after which is way too late.

I'm 2lbs up but I was expecting more if I'm honest after all the food porn last week.

Glad it's over, I'll adjust the stats later & move on from it :);)
 
Oh I wondered what the diff was,can you eat the Quorn stuff then Princess??

Yep no problems with eating quorn.... unfortunately the husband won't eat is.... he used to and he likes it, but them he found out it is made of mushrooms :8855:

Hi Issy, a 2lb gain is not bad at all, you will easily drop that off this week :). I prefer morning groups myself, I don't know what I'd do with a rumbling stomach in the middle of group in the evenings :p. Nervous about tomorrow mornings weigh in, lets see what happens.

I'm actually relieved & quite giddy & excited to start afresh. Hubby is blaming the whole 2lbs on the chinese takeaway we had last nite, I wish it was that simple :rolleyes:

Yeah Kay I prefer a morning group too, but there's only one in my area & it really didn't suit me, that's why I left the last time, but me flying solo didn't work so I'm trying this group, so far so good. My ideal weigh-in would be at 9.30 on a Friday morning. Fingers crossed for your weigh-in tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

Ah Kay a STS is a good result, your loss will show next week, lets have a good week & shake them scales next week:bunnydance:

I had fruit for brekkie & a lovely omlette for lunch. I'm having left-overs for dinner, made chicken & chorizo hotpot last night, so just have to heat that with some baby spuds.

I put the chorizo through the "syns calculator" on the SW website, as it's not listed in the directory & I really can't get me head around 100g being only 6syns as it says in the book, anyway the 170g pack from Aldi is coming up at 27syns for the whole pack, which I feel more comfortable with. It's spread over 5 portions, so about 5.5syns each, well worth it.

I had asked at group about this & the answer I got was very vague, it was a temp consultant, mine was on a weeks holidays, I meant to ask her again this week, I'll put the packaging in with my book & ask her to clarify it next week.:gen147:

I went for my long walk this morning, grand it wasn't raining & I quite enjoyed it.:bliss:

Last nite I had the usual case of the evening munchies, I had forseen this & gorged on melon.:eating:
 
Ok so I'm attempting my first scan bran cake. Keeping it simple,coconut vanilla flavour,have a diet choc mousse to top it with,need to find out the syns first.

Tis in the microwave,I'll post a pic when I dish it up:);)

It's quite large,3 portions,great with a cuppa. I'll top it with choc philly next time,mousse was too runny with the still hot cake.

Wow Issy that looks delicious ! I have such a sweet tooth :17729:. I could eat that picture :D ! You sound like your having a good food week. 5 1/2 syns for chorizo not bad, at least you can still enjoy it. You managed to fit walks in too, that's great. I hope to start body magic soon, once i'm better. Being at home doesn't help, I end up snacking a lot. I find having chopped fruit on the ready always helps with night time munchies too :p . My week has been ok so far, but I thought I had a good week last week and I sts, so I have no idea what the scales will do this week. I have been having mainly green days, I eat a lot of quorn. Have you tried quorn chorizo it's really nice I had it on a sw pizza once. It's 5 syns for the whole pack, well worth it and the flavours not bad ! I'm going to have a red day tomorrow, planning on having my favourite, smoked salmon. I have found in the past when I eat fish I lose more as opposed to other meats, strange but its true. Your chicken and chorizo hotpot sounds perfect for this weather ! I wanted to ask, do you weigh yourself at home mid week ? I do sometimes, I know its naughty but sometimes a week seems too long and I want to know if i'm losing anything.
