It's Now Or Never

Hi Guys, sorry its been a bit mental and I've felt exhausted and grumpy and unsociable. But I have the next couple of hours free with my wee lad, so that should cheer me up.

We went for a run around midday, which I was dreading as I haven't had the chances since Sunday. Surprisingly though, it was fine.

Been good on food all week. Tried Pomette's salmon spinach - but used quark and those laughing cow cheese things. So was syn free, and I enjoyed it, but I suspect not as nice as her recipe.

Gail - good advice from Sausage (who I am now going to refer to as Speedy Sausage - a Ninja? You kept that quiet! Lol). Do the cbt first. You can do it for around £130, its a days course, and not too hard. The DAS is about £600 so a bit more of an investment.

Right, will catch up properly another time, child to annoy. X

Well I'm much happier now. Just signed off another test phase. Getting ever closer to the end of this project (over 2 years of slog so far). Still a way to go, but every phase that's signed off is a step closer to moving on to pastures new. :)

Bairn at football training right now, so thought I'd post my food so far for today.

Breakfast:
Mixed fruit, canned prunes (2 syns), branflakes (HEb), low fat natural yoghurt. Cuppa with large splash of soya milk (1 syn)

Second slightly later breakfast (oops)!
Fried egg (my most perfect fried egg ever, I always cocked them up before). Now I follow the force that is frylight. Sliced potatoes and onions fried in frylight and salt. Fried egg served on top. Was bloody gorgeous, if a bit naughty. I had a plum afterwards to make myself feel better. Another cuppa with large splash of soya milk (2 syns).
Geobar (6 syns).

Lunch:
Cheese (HEa) and ham omelette with loads of salad. 3 clementines.

So as you can see I've been a bit piggy today, 10 syns. I'm out this evening, but nowhere swish, so hopefully I can get some salad or something syn free.

Footie tomorrow, and making my friend some tapas dishes tomorrow evening. I'm quite excited to be honest. Am going to give Speedy Sausages' recipes a bash plus the old favourite - Spanish omelette. :)

Feel proper sleepy bear though, I've been sleeping really badly this week. Think star week is drawing near as I generally feel irritable, crap, blubbery and unattractive. Bleurgh. Looking forward to my run tomorrow morning though. Never thought I'd utter those words. :)

Mmmm that potato egg brekkie sounds FIT!!!! Xxxxxx

Well done on getting the run done, it's hard when you cba!!! Your food sounds tasty too, comfort food! xx

You're back! Hope you're ok and work is less stressful.

Speedy Sausage! LOLZ!
xx

Well I've just got in. Ended up eating at Leon in Bluewater. I had the mackerel salad, and OMG it was gorgeous. Never thought is see the day where I happily ordered s salad from the menu. No idea what the syn value was, but sod it.

I also treated myself to the cutest little mortar and pestle, and an ice cream maker. Nom nom nom, summer fun here I come. :)

An ice cream maker??!! How are you going to be able to resist lush ice cream when it's waiting to be made right in your own kitchen?? I'm not a massive ice cream fan, it's too cold for me lol, but if it was just there, I'm not sure I would resist!! x

Well that's frustrating. I've just done C25K, week 2, day 3 - and something very strange has gone on with my GPS/runkeeper. It has currently got me somewhere entirely different to where I am and says I ran half a mile. Pah!

Anyway, I did it in 31 mins door to door, which is an improvement on yesterday.

Just seen what the regime is for next week though. No way will I be able to do 3 mins in one hit! *faints*

Might quickly pop to supermarket now - stinky and dishevelled, but no one else will be there to see, and I want it out of the way. Got to do some basic cleaning in the house and prep some bits for tapas tonight. I won't be back from footie till seven, later if Leeds bring any lemmings like Cardiff did *rolls eyes*

Busy busy busy

Hope you all have a fab day xx

Hi pinkie. Well done on your run even though it went weird! Give the 3 min a go, you will be surprised! I think it was the first time I tried 8 that I needed 2 attempts ! And even more important for the longer runs that you have food looong before you run. One site I looked at said 3-4 hours. Have fun!
X

Well done on Run 3, twice in two days, I am impressed!!

I'm actually looking forward to next week's runs since there are fewer of them, it's all in my head lol xx

I am dreading 3 mins in one hit. But I am putting my faith in the app. It has seen me right so far, so I'll just trust that it will continue to do so.
I am having tomorrow off though, and will start week 3 on Monday.

Maybe that explains why yesterday, even though I ran in the middle of the day, having not done any for 5 days, and had had my 2 breakfasts, I was actually OK with it. This could take some planning, mornings suit me better. I can't see me motivating myself later in the day. How about if I ate a banana before bed? :)

Anyway, enough of that nonsense. I have just made my very first ice cream!!!! With the WW toffee and vanilla yoghurts (which I am certain are free - bloody want to be anyway).
It was so light, lovely and fluffy, not stodgy at all. I had a couple of scoops and put the rest in the freezer. I've also washed out the bowl and put that back in the freezer. I'm going in for the kill with some greek 0% yoghurt and a couple of options sachets later - choccie icecream here I come.

It tasted very nice too, really creamy. OK there was a slight yoghurt-tangy after taste in there, but it was slight, and the consistency and other flavours more than made up for it. I am very pleased with my find! :)

It does sound nice, I just don't have the freezer space for it... And knowing me it would be a gadget that I'd use for a week then get bored of cleaning it etc!!! xx

Oooh, I think I'm going to try making ice cream with yoghurt this weekend (sans ice cream maker) and if I like it may well invest in a machine for the summer! xx

I know that feeling... WI for me, too. Eugh. And I'm smack in the middle of * week, too. Not expecting a loss of any sort tonight. Good luck! x

Good luck ladies, hope the scales are kind to you my lovelies. I have my fingers crossed!

I will be interested to hear how your ice cream experiments go so do please keep me updated.

How did you get on????
