It's Now Or Never

Right had a good day today. Last day in the office for this week, just a half day at home tomorrow - though have plenty to do, so will no doubt go over my hours. Got back from work then popped over the other side of town to collect the Bairn from my parents, then back over here again to take him to indoor nets (cricket). Been home about 15 mins or so. I will try put a pic of my food up (as have already entered on MFP). The juice I made is GORGEOUS!!! My favourite one, very indulgent too - but I am trying to have a juice at least half the week as a breakfast. This one is made from a punnet of red grapes, a small punnet of blackberries, an apple and a big old chunk of ginger. I am definitely becoming addicted to ginger in my juices!

As you can see I had 1,879 calories today, with 235 earnt back in walking to and from work, leaving me with a net amount of 1,644. Just now for tea I had 3 slices of ham, and have made myself a cuppa. It's too late to eat anymore than that (hence the wrap earlier). Tomorrow night I'm taking my son and nephews swimming, then we'll be having kebab afterwards as a treat. Plus it's Red Nose Day, and I've been cajoled into making a Victoria Sponge by my son. Not for charity or anything - just because he wants an RND type cake. I also walk my friend's dog for her on a Friday, so I get a good hour of walking in then too.

I'm trying to slowly but surely form healthier habits.

Anyhoo, my cuppa is waiting, as is the cricket (and hopefully Dallas too, I hope it didn't finish last week!). I am soooo tired!

Night all xx

That juice sound fab, and I do love ginger!

You are sticking to you calorie allowance really well too xx

Thank you both of you. It really does mean so much to have support when you're doing these things.

Today turned into quite a calorific day, but all recorded. Had an impromptu pub lunch with my Dad. Then I had two slices of Red Nose Day Cake that me and the Bairn made together plus some crispies. Oops! Anyway, in total 2791 calories and I earnt 674 cals in exercise: walking and took the boys (son and nephew) swimming after school.

Gotta go chase said children up now and try and get them in bed. Night night x

Be fair Pinkie, yes, you went over by about a 1,000, but the exercise covered over two thirds of that, so, really not bad at all xx

Well I had a VERY naughty day yesterday too, again all recorded. It really is shocking how many cals are in bread and butter.

Today has been fine though, 1372 cals. Think I still feel overloaded from yesterday.

I bought a Breville toasted sandwich maker today for my lad. However, I noticed that you can make toasties without butter so could be a good fallback option for me for when I fancy something like that. I shall take a look at low cal/SW friendly fillings. Taking butter out of the equation though massively improves the 'cost' of it, however you measure.

Another day in Coventry this week. Will look back at what I did last week as I think I managed it OK. Other than that no particular challenges I think. I've not prepared tomorrow's food yet. I think I'll get some porridge from work and I can easily put together a salad in the morning.

Hope you all had a good weekend x

Fresh bread and butter is the devils food!

Can't resist it myself, either!

I haven't used my Breville for ages, so will have to get it out.....I like any combination of ham, low fat cheese, pineapple, tomatoe, onion, brown sauce...yum

Well the bairn was very happy with his toastie - cheese, ham and spinach toasted ciabatta. I also notice how a wee bit of cheese goes a long way with it. You could HEa the cheese and just syn the bread.

I've not felt great today, so no exercise at all. I did keep my cals down to 1584 though (which included a toasted ciabatta as described above). Most my food would have been fine on SW, except the ciabatta which was about 17.5 syns, and 2 syns worth of mints. You could work round that roll though; get a smaller roll, use bread, use bread as part of HEb etc. My main meal (beef stew served with cabbage and leek) was SW heaven though ;-)

Don't feel any slimmer compared to last week. But I am due on, and I did have a blow out at the weekend. Be interesting to see what the scales say on Thurs am.

Anyway, night all x

Hiya chica - back from the cold & wet UK.

I lurvvvvvvvvvvvvve toasties. I use 2 slices of WM bread as a HexB, 1 * HexA of low fat cheddar plus onions and tomatos (my all time fave) and there upi have a perfectly friendly SW toastie! No butter for me either and it works fine. I don't have a Breville so I do them in my George Foreman Grill!

Hey girls!

Yes I do feel much more relaxed about food in some ways which is strange given I'm working out the cals of everything I eat. Big Cal day yesterday, oops lol. Was fine today though; 1,723 cals in, less 267 earnt in walking, leaving me a net of 1,456. I sneakily weighed in a day early and had put on 2lbs-ish. I can clearly see why looking at my cals and I'm not beating myself up it, what's done is done. I must remind myself that my current objective is purely to log all cals I consume and be mindful of what I eat. I'll weigh myself on a Weds am from now on, so hopefully I will keep slowly learning and see some gradual losses. Pound a week would do, I'm prepared to take the long and winding path on this provided I am making progress.

Anyhoo, I've just done something REALLY naughty! I've booked for me and the Bairn to go to Berlin for a few days during his Easter break. All on the credit card, couldn't pay for it otherwise. Very irresponsible, but it feels so good to have a trip on the horizon. :)

I know I said I wouldn't but I hopped on the scales in a microscopically different place and it read the same as last Thurs. So maybe I've just stayed the same this week, which is infinitely better than gaining, and I will gladly take that. Have to remember that spot. Lol

Oooooh, you naughty little scale hopper!;)

I am going cold turkey on the daily weighing, bloomin' hard, on only on day two:eek:

Wish I could stop scaley dale hopping. But it is so much a part of my routine now.
It has helped me though as it has pinpointed the foods that really cause me a problem with carb bloat.

Lets hope the microscopic relocation of the scales is right - a STS would be great!

Where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ? *waves*
Hope you are ok chica.

Hope you are having a lovely time in Berlin and fingers crossed that the house is ok.

STS is good - especially if food hasn't been 100% perfect.
