It's Now Or Never

Hi Bev. Got back last night. Sooooo tired today and throat is horrendously sore and swollen. We had a lovely time though. Fitted so much in to our brief visit, loads of walking around as well - probably why I feel so run down now. Beanie was dropped at his Dad's last night and the buns are still on their hols, so for the first time in ages I am completely alone, and don't have to do anything for anyone.

That said the peace will be short lived. I have no food in so need to pop to the shops. Plus collect the buns. Gonna sit down in a bit and plan the weeks meals then go and get that shop.

I dread to think what my weight is now. I'all weigh in a bit if I can drum up the courage lol. Things are def a bit tight on me though, and our food was horrendous while away.

Berlin was wonderful though, I really love it there. Think I'll do Cologne next. :)

Hi Pinkie, just popping by to say hello. Been a long time since we caught up on here. Beanie seems to be growing up v quick... Sure he was just a little boy when u joined!

Glad you enjoyed your trip, hope ur not stressing about using the credit card. Sometimes its for the greater good ;)

I think you have a good attitude to food at the moment, I may take some tips. You are right that writing down/calorie counting makes u far more aware of what ur eating even if your not actively making changes...
Enjoy your peace while it lasts xxx

Glad you enjoyed Berlin. I've never been to Germany - passed through it once on the way to a skiing holiday to get from Saltzburg to Kolsass.

Well guess what girlies, I rejoined SW this week. 3 days on plan so far, all good stuff. I've even taken ginlin's advice and have used my syns on 2 large sloe gin and slimline tonics. Lovely!

I have a bit of a challenge this weekend as we're off camping. My intention is to stick to syn free food all weekend and flexi syn gin.

I'm going to stock up on syn free sausages at the local butchers tomorrow and take savoury rice and veg. We're doing a chilli another night which I will make sure is syn free. Lots of fruit and salad too, so fingers crossed I can wing it (gin aside of course). I don't want to **** up my first week as I've been bang on so far.

Bad news is my weight is quite simply horrific, at an all time high. I feel really quite ill as a result too, but positive as I'm doing something about it.

Anyhoo, I'm off to enjoy the last of my sloe gin. It's really very lovely! :)

Welcome back chica - it's lovely to see you here again. Well done on 3 days back on plan.
Don't fret about the weight. You've done it once so you can do it again !!! :)

Watch out for the sloe gin though. A small 25ml measure is 3 syns - NOT the 2½ syns for an ordinary gin.
I love the stuff! Still have a small bottle in the drinks cupboard that we bought about 5 years ago.
I seriously have to ration myself on it as I drink it neat and could happily consume a LOT in one go!

I know it's lush hey? It's 4 syns for a 35ml measure apparently. My servings were def bigger than that which is why I stuck to two. Should be within syn limit for today. This weekend will be another matter though, which is why syn free food is so important. :)

Speak soon - I'm off to bed as there is more painting to do tomorrow!
We're in the middle of painting our courtyard and house walls.
Courtyard about 50m long by 3-4m high. House walls in some places are 6m high!

4lbs off. Quite pleased with that when I consider the quantity of non SW friendly food I've shoveled down myself this weekend. I think on average I was probably operating at about 70 syns per day and a marked drop in free food.

I shall aim for another 3 next week to get my first half stone.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy - well done chica. That's a great start.
Onward and downward we go!

Thank-you Bev. I feel pretty positive about it all today, though difficult to plan any food for today itself, as I may or may not be required to go out with my Dad when he takes the kids out today. If he opts for a day in London, I'll def have to go with him. If he stays more local I may not be needed. Somehow I think my presence will be requested, if only for help with my sister's youngest. He's nearly 4 but a baby still in many ways and can get very whiney for his Mum when she's not around. A very clingy child and my Dad just won't be able to cope on his own. Still, you never know.

Either way, I'm going to have a decent SW brekkie now and then I can just have a salad for lunch if need be. My son is having a little friends over for a boys night in sleepover. Need to do them a pizza, give them some nachos then leave them to play mine craft. God that bloody game, they're all obsessed!

I shall spend the evening planning my food ready for a proper shop in the morning. So nice to have a whole week off work!

I've never heard of Minecraft - but I can imagine what it'll be like, especially with lots of boys on a sleep over!
Just you stay away from that pizza!
Enjoy your week off though chica - fingers crossed that you'll get some better weather.

It's only two boys, but that's enough for me. I will be good with the pizza. Am doing chicken, savoury rice and salad for myself.

Plus I managed to steer my Dad and the kids away from Pizza Hut and towards Nandos where I had a Mediterranean chicken salad and water. I'm quite impressed with myself lol

Having a couple of gins now though to steady my nerves lol
