It's Now Or Never

Thank you!
Well my Nan is coming over in a bit for lunch. I've done Spanish style chicken casserole with chorizo and butter beans. Loads of veg in it, and am serving it with new potatoes and green beans. She'll probably complain that it's foreign but hey ho. I've got her jam roly poly for pud, which I'm not going to touch. Synorrific!

Did your nan enjoy the lunch? And did you manage to avaoid the jam roly poly?

Morning Night-Pom. :). My Nan seemed to really enjoy it, so much so that she had a second plateful lol. I did however end up having the teensiest little piece of roly poly, which I calc'd at 10 syns. Sounds stupid but I felt bad not joining in and having it when I'd served it to her and Beanie. I did however give all the rest to a very appreciative fencer, which I thought was quite good. (I'm getting the fencing in the back garden done)

I think supper tonight will be minced beef with onions, carrot and gravy, with curly kale and new potatoes. A couple of syns there for the gravy granules. I'll knock up something syn free for lunch and HEb for breakfast with fruit. I want to keep my syns as low as possible for the remainder of this week. That said, I've just remembered we're supposed to be having a girlie night tomorrow evening. It's curry which I can do in 9 syns, but I'm sure alcofrol will flow, even if it is spirit and Cal free mixers. Oops! Even more reason to be super good the rest of the time. I so want to get my first half a stone this week.

I was saying to my friend though, that I'm really enjoying being back on SW this time. I feel like I did when I very first started. Hopefully this is a good omen. :)

***update***
Girlie night is off. Between hectic half term, husbands having heart attacks and unexpected pregnancies, we're deferring to next month lol. It's better than Eastenders around here. ;-)
So syns can be low tomorrow too. Yippee!
"Liked" this - not that the girlie night out is off but that you can have a low syn day!
Really pleased thatr you're enjoying SW again this time round.
As you well know, I'm a total convert and won't have a word said against it.
Anyway who says they can't lose is probably hiding from the truth (unless they have major medical problems and are taking things like steroids).
Everyone I know who's done SW finds it relatively easy to stick to and gives great results when you do.
As you are proving! keep at it chica and fiongers crossed that you get anoth good loss this week.

Well another good day today. Not least because my back garden fence was finished.

I feel like the garden is actually somewhere that I want to be and make nice now. I may even let the buns roam free while I'm out here, but due to the foxes living in the nearby woods I'd have to be certain to never leave them unattended. So we'll see. Maybe only when the bairn is out here with me.

I had my front garden cleared and stones put down too. Looks very plain at the moment, but before it was overgrown and just looked like a bit of a pikie mess. So I'm no longer the shame of the street, yippee!

Anyway, back to food, have a good day planned tomorrow then on Sunday I've been invited to my Mum's for roast beef. I was good and asked if she could do me some new potatoes rather than roast ones. I think if I had roast potatoes they'd just send me over the edge, so I'd rather avoid altogether.

Also, I've been experimenting with milk. I've been having Soya in tea for years, and also to make banana smoothies with. But I noticed when I rejoined SW that you can have nearly a litre of unsweetened almond milk. I tried that this week, and it was OK. It's not the same as cow's milk at all, but these days it tastes really animally to me. It does mean I can drink loads of tea (with a bit more milk in than usual) and have been well within my allowance. I've probably only fancied this much because of the gloomy weather. Also I very rarely drink coffee these days. Something else that seems to trigger bad behaviours for me. Can't say I miss it much either, so all good.

Anyhoo, although it's only half nine, I feel quite pooped today. Think an early night will do me good. Toodlepip! x

Morning chica - garden looks great. The buns will enjoy being out there I'm sure.
Our friends used to have a sort of cage that they put them in that they could move around the garden to let them eat different parts of the lawn.
No bottom to it - just sides and a top done with wood and chicken wire. Keeps cats etc off them. Not sure about foxes though.
Enjoy your Sunday lunch - what a good girl you are for asking for new spuds :)

Yes we've got one of those, which is what they've gone into in the past. In fact that is what the boy bunny is sat on at the moment. Yes, we let them out, and they're having a wonderful time. The little boy has never run about so much, it's lovely to see. Just being vigilant for Foxy Loxy.

Good Morning! What a beautiful day out there. Just been sitting out there having some herbal tea (think I'm tannin'd out atm). The bairn is with his dad today, so I have shopping, ironing and cleaning to do before lunch at my parent's. Back to school and work tomorrow after a nice week off. Ho hum. The bairn is doing his 11+ mid Sept so I need to get more organised. Mostly in his bedroom which is a tip. So I may well ransack that too in his absence.

I inadvertently had a red day yesterday, though only had one HEb. Don't suppose it really matters though. I feel better for it in some ways, but I just had a few pieces of ham for tea last night rather than a proper meal. So now I'm also feeling a bit hungry. I really fancy salmon steak, do you think it would be very wrong to have that for breakfast with some pan fried cherry tomatoes?

Anyhoo, before I crack on, here's a pic of my wee buns having a little dandelion-fest in the garden yesterday. :)

And this is them flaked out yesterday evening after their adventures.

The snickers bar was my son, he gave the wrapper to the buns to lick round afterwards. My son is a little grot. :)

Well I had a great food day today. Only a few new potatoes with lunch and that was the only blip in what would otherwise have been a red day. Struggled for my healthy extras today though, so I ended up making a milky coffee for HEa and had cereal with fruit and yoghurt for HEb as my tea.

Tomorrow will be a regular Extra Easy day though.

Something I've noticed since restarting SW is that some digestive issues that I've been having have gone. Won't bore with details, but I had a gall bladder scan, which I think is clear, although I'm still waiting for results to go back to GP, and have been in agony (previously) in that general area. I'm on lanzasprole (?) to reduce reflux, but until SW was still getting the soreness in GB region that usually indicates a couple if days of agony. Like I say not even a niggle since SW. Plus my joint aches and pains have reduced, along with general feeling of crapness.

So although I've only lost a couple of pounds, and I'm still circa 6 stone overweight, I feel as if I am reaping some health benefits already.

Only down side of today was achieving sod all at home. After my early start (6ish wake today) I ended up having a nap before lunch, so had to do week's shopping after that and then much of day had gone. Laziness really. Oh well, the ironing and mess will still be there tomorrow. I'll make a start once I'm back from SW tomorrow.

Chica, was just catching up on your fred when you last post popped up.

Don't worry too much about not having all your Hex's. Now I know that's not what a SW consultant wil tell you I've always struggled to eat my A's - I don't really do dairy stuff as I rarely eat cheese and the only A i usually get is milk in 3 cups of tea per day.

If you struggle on your B's though on a Red day, then don't! Just remember that it doesn't have to be what we traditionally think of as carbs. It can be peas, sweetcorn, chick peas, lentils, beans of other sorts, parsnips, and dried, baked or stewed fruit!!!

Regarding fish for breakfast. Go for it! I love kedgeree for breakfast. Just the rice that worries me though! All those bloating carbs for me.

P.S. Buns are very sweet :D

Lol thanks Pom. I came home from shopping to walk in on a live floor show. I busied myself in the kitchen putting stuff away. Randy little sods, sweet wasn't the word for them then. :)

I did look at the other HEbs, and I guess the potatoes might count as one anyway? I had loads of fruit and veg though as per an EE day. Just no rice etc.

New pots are deffo a HexB. Just don't forget all the other things that are HexB and not "traditional" carbohydrates.

I won't. I just didn't happen to have any in that I fancied. Ho hum.

It's weigh in tonight and I'm pretty nervous. Pretty sure last weekend has caught up with me a bit, plus a further naughty day last week. So I'm not expecting my first half stone tonight. But that said, I know if I keep doing as well as I have been since then, I should be on track to get it next week.

First day back at work. Lunch all made (salmon, savoury rice and salad). Breakfast prepped and some fruit for snacks. I've also left my purse at home, so that if temptation does strike, I don't have the means to indulge it. I suspect I'll be so busy though. I've also got a new box of liquorice and mint tea to take to work with me, my favourite. I've been generally trying to stay away from coffee - as for me that means lattes, cookies etc. I'll have the odd one, but as a general rule I want to stick to herbal tea. I can drink gallons of that stuff.

Fingers crossed for you tonight. Lets hope that you get a loss even if you don't manage the half stone award.
Good luck chica.
