It's Now Or Never

Ah bless you Pom. I knew that I should have had the extra HEb, but I was so busy that I just didn't have time. From a fibre point of view I had plenty of fruit (berries, Satsumas, apples) so not completely terrible. Osy days would not be like today. So it was a one off.
If I'd called it EE day then I think it would have been OK though....

I'm not sure what lunch tomorrow will be, maybe a banana milkshake. I'll take a look at the HEb options, see what I've got in that could work. Up early though completing an investment paper, then dog walk and counselling appt. Typically these are all in the morning, and we have a noon deadline for doc submission. Still, I can only do what I can do.

:)

Nah - not really enough even for an EE day either chica. OK on Hex's but just not enough "sunstance" - iykwim.
Try serving your chilli on a bed of cauli rice. I've never done it but everyone tells me it's fantastic.
I'll go look up how to do it!

How to make Cauli Rice - as advised by Red Riding Hood

Cauliflower rice is the easiest thing to make. Just cut up your cauliflower then put it in a food processor, blitz it until it is rice like.
Put in a microwaveable dish (you can add spice/season at this point - sometimes I add a little cayenne but you can also leave it).
Then cover with film and microwave for about 2 mins - you are just heating it not cooking it.
I actually really like it in place of rice much more than I thought I would.

Thank you!

I don't own a microwave. Do you think the effect would be the same if I steamed it?

It's just before 6 and the laptop is booting up for the day. This evening can't come quick enough ;-)

I'm sure it would work if you steam it - but only for a few minutes I suspect.

Pants to booting up the laptap at 6am. That'snot good.
I've been battling the debtors for the last 7 hours and my brain in boggled and numb.
Just poured my first glass of wine though so that should make me feel better and I'm off to watch the Murray game on the TV.
Missed the first few games but I'm sure I'll soon catch up!

Well after an awful lot of slog it came to nothing anyway. The directors are still fannying around trying to decide what they want to do for process. So all our efforts on the IT piece, for now, are in vain. I really do love my job, but times like this you wonder why you bother.

Today has not been a good food day. Will draw a line tomorrow. Meh. :-/

Well that was a terrible weekend. Made a lovely SW meal for my parents for Father's Day but drunk a lot if red wine and a couple of ciders with it. Was pretty pissed. Oops!

Meal was lovely though, the Moroccan Lamb stew from the EE cookbook. Will definitely do that again. Worked out 0.5 syns for the orange juice in the couscous. Have a portion left, which I'll take in to work tomorrow.

Really hope I haven't completely cocked up my weight loss for tomorrow - but if I have it won't be a surprise. Right, so 100% next week. :)

2lbs off. Stunning!

I've set myself a target of 2.5lbs for next week so I can hit that 16st 9lb target. I'll need to be bang on anyway, or I suspect last week's indiscretions will catch up with me.

Really pleased. :)

Well done chica - you're doing really well, even if there were a few indiscetions on on the acoholic frolic front :8855:

Right, I'm going for a red day today.

Have two HEbs planned, and syn free breakfast and lunch.

Tonight's tea will be a juice, which will use some syns, and a packet of ryvita minis.

I'm determined I'm getting to 16st 9lbs on Monday lol

Now that is the attitude I love to hear from you Pinkie!!!
Go for it girl.

Are you back at work full time again now? Are you still managing to work some days at home though.

I'm doing 3 in London and 2 half days at home. But the reality is full days and evenings at home, c'est la vie!

You need to "manage" this. Companies will always take advantage.
When I worked a 4 day week (Mon - Thurs, Mon at home and rest at office) when I was freelancing I still used to get phone calls on a Friday.
As soon as I worked out they were about work I just told them that if this takes more than 1 minute then you are charged my full daily rate - which was a lot!
They would soon decide to put the phone down and wait until Monday! :8855:

Yes I tried - I asked if I could do a full day at home on a Weds and have a full day off on the Fri. Got 'warned' that it would constitute a change in my contract and that I could be forced to do four days in the office. However, I have a new boss coming in so may try again. In the meantime, I'm telling them that I won't be working after one on home days and just not answer work calls. Hey ho.

My red day has gone well btw. Though I am just now slowly munching through my ryvita minis, just don't want anymore so will skip the juice. Maybe the red lunch filled me up more than I expected? Had a malteaser teaser bar for 9.5 syns as a snack earlier. Was yummy.

Will do the same tomorrow. Take each day as it comes. :)

Just stick to your guns and don't answer the phone after 1pm. Otherwise they really will take advantage.

Well second red day almost complete with no issues whatsoever. Though my tummy has been quite explosive. Maybe it's the relative lack of carbs bulking me out?

I really don't fancy dinner again today - so may just have a pack of ryvita minis again as second HexB then a banana milkshake later using a second HexA.

I was thinking earlier that red days on my office days actually work quite well. Days at home will be possibly be easier to do EE as it's good for family meals with the bairn.

Oh and in other news.... my friend and I have just booked a fit camp for November for our 40th birthday treats. We're really excited! Plus I've also decided (don't think I've mentioned this before) that at some point in the next year I'm going to do another cycle trip. This time from Birmingham to London mostly along the Grand Union Canal. It's about 120 miles. I really loved the Kennet and Avon one that I did last time, and wanted to do more.

So lot's of positives! :)
