Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

Sounds like a good day, hope its dry for sports day, its raining here just now :( we were out walking when it came on and none of us had jackets! Home now though, my daughter is off nursery today as her school trip is divided between today and tomorrow and she goes tomorrow so she is at home with me today! baby is happily bouncing in jumperoo just now so i am taking a sneaky 5 mins to catch up with everyone! xxx

morning all :) I lost 1lb :happy036:

will update on yesterday in a bit, baby feeding x

LoChan I don't think I answered your lol question, no I haven't actually said lol irl, but I nearly have haha!

As for the scales, if they don't go down on a wednesday I'm going to feel disappointed regardless of if I have weighed through the week or not, so not sure it makes any difference in that respect. For the moment I still feel quite motivated, I have had a 4 week losing streak and although progress is slow, it is still progress. 5.5lb's in the last 4 weeks - I can live with that. On an ongoing basis there is bound to come a time when I either sts or have a gain, if I let that get to me so much I throw it all away then that would be my failing! For the moment I don't believe I would I think and hope I would just carry on, because a little blip is just a blip, it doesn't have to undo all the progress and stop the future progress. Time will tell.

yesterday was great, but busy and then I didn't sleep well so I am tired today, but hey ho I will get there.

Sports day started out overcast, then warmed up nicely, and got chilly in the afternoon, but the important thing was the rain stayed off, my daughter did well and enjoyed herself as did all the kids, and I enjoyed watching, and speaking to some of the other parents.

then band practice at night, got my daughter home and in bed, then scooted off to meet my friend for our 3 mile walk, it did rain a little but not too much, then we stopped off at a swing park on the way back to the car (we do like a swing) and continued our chat watching bats flutter past- love love love bats! and then before we knew it, it was much later than we meant to be and I got home at 1045!

Between walking up and down to school, walking to band and back, plus our walk, I was able to log in 5 miles of body magic :)

My friend and I are going to the theatre on saturday night and having our tea out too, I have considered saving syns, but I think I will just see what happens, we won't be drinking so I think I will just choose carefully, saving my in-day syns for it, and if I go over make up for it the subsequent days.

thanks :)

in other news, I have completed session 2, week 5 of couch 2 5k woohoooo. Involved 2x 8 minutes of jogging and I honestly felt I could have done an extra bit, still not sure of 20 mins for session 3 but pretty sure I can at least go 10 :) I am so pleased I started the programme!

Well done on the loss and on completing session 2, week 5 of c25k.

What are you going to see at the theatre at the weekend? x

The Woman In Black :) supposed to be really scary!

My lovely friend has bought the tickets as a gift and is taking me for food to, we decided a few years ago after going through some trauma that we would try to buy memories rather than objects as gifts, so this is one of many we have invested in since :)

That's a lovely idea. I've never seen the show, but have also heard it is a bit scary! Let me know what you think of it x

One thing I have learnt from going to group is that it doesn't really matter how long it takes as long as the weight is coming off. I was also worried at the begining when people where losing between 3 to 5lbs per week and I could only manage 1 to 2lbs. But, I have decided to not worry about that and just focus on losing the weight.
thanks for the info. I am not sure I can start running yet (medical issues with my leg). I have been walking and doing dance workouts a lot more. Once I feel confident enough to learn how to run/jog I will attempt the couch to 5k program.
Do you have any recipes for low syn sponge cakes?

Lynne, I am fine today thank you, hope your little one let you have sleep last night! I was up flipping mine over at 4-ish lol.

Abi, I have honestly been totally surprised at how far I have managed with the jogging, hope you feel able to have a go at it :) as for the sponge cakes, I haven't experimented in that department, but I'm sure if you search minimins you might find some, or do a web search for low calorie cake recipe :) There are lots of recipes here for scan bran cakes but I haven't attempted any and I don't think that is what you are looking for really.

I have just had a mahoosive lunch, and now I am sat here with the hiccups!

I had 3 tesco lighter choice sausage (3syn) 3 bacon, 1 toast (HE) topped with 1/3 can spaghetti, then at the side I had a large portion of an experiment I just made up.... fry light cooked courgette, pepper and cherry tomatoes, once the tomatoes were a little soft I squashed them in the pan so the juice came out, added 1/2 teaspoon curry powder, and a splodge of tomato puree mixed it all around, plopped on my plate with (HE) grated cheese on top. It was really lovely. Am totally stuffed now I don't usually have such a big meal for lunch.

Sticky chicken for tea tonight, it has become a family favourite!

Currently have my breadmaker making dough so I can make more buns shortly.

Other thing I forgot to report was that I got my bag of stuff that fits 14 down and had a rummage, there are a couple shirts that almost fit, and a pair of jeans too, so I have kept them out, thought I could try them on once a week and gradually see when they fit. I also have 2 long casual A-line skirts that I loved, they are size 12 but very big made and I can squeeze into those already so have kept them out too :)

My current fav jeans are starting to feel looser :)

It's a great feeling to get back into old clothes isn't it - a real non-scales victory! Well done x

it is one of the most motivational things!

My size 14 jeans fitted before I was pregnant with my son, at 12st 4, so I am hopeful I can get into them in a month or so, but I have to accept that the pregnancy could have changed my shape too so will just have to see.

We had a late one last night, my oldest had her dance show and we didn't get the girls to bed until 11pm! they are both shattered this morning, thought the baby might sleep right through seen as she hadn't slept but no we were up at 2.30, 5.30 then up at 7 to get ready for the school bus! xxx

oh dear, you poor thing you must be exhausted!

In my experience a late night never made any difference to mine (so far) I am fortunate in that they sleep through anyway but they seldom sleep later regardless of how late I put them to bed.

Will you be able to snatch a day time nap?

Mine are the same both usually up before 7am every day.... not a chance of grabbing a nap, baby not a fan of sleeping much during the day unless i am walking her in the pram! will try for an early night but who knows, i have a ton of stuff to sort out once they go to bed tonight! :sigh: its never ending lol xxxx

I know, I have been gradually trying to have a whole house clear out, because I'd like everything to be more organised before I go back to work in sept, but progress is.... slow lol. Of course I do procrastinate more than I should too, but once I go back to work I keep thinking that will likely be me until I retire now, so why shouldn't I make the most of this break from it? I deliberately chose to stay off until after the hols so I can spend a summer with the kids, I won't be able to do that again unless something drastically changes.
