Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

Because I've been drinking herbal, I haven't been buying milk, so I only have the full fat stuff my hubby drinks, and I actually hate anything made with it as I find it just too creamy. I don't actually like milk other than in tea or hot choc, or a little on cereal, but it has to be skimmed, even semi skimmed is too creamy!

I will make do with hot water in it lol. Am off to have it now, and tuck myself in with my kindle :read:

Hi hun, just spent the last hour reading through your diary, as i noticed we post on a lot of the same threads! I am also scottish and a mum of two (girls) oldest is nearly 5 and youngest coming up on 8 months! Unlike yours my baby is a terrible sleeper so i haven't had a decent sleep in 8 months! my oldest however is great and sleeps 12 hours a night and ha done since 5 months old. Anyway i am quite tired now lol so off for a hot bath and a sleep before the next feed (yup she still has 2-3 feeds a night:4635:). xxxxx

Hi Lynne, nice to see you here :) babies and sleep can be a challenge, I have been extremely fortunate with both mine, but I have seen many of my friends suffer. My son usually sleeps from 8-7 which I know is a luxury. He does go through phases of being a nuisance though I was up several times every night for almost a week recently because he kept rolling over and getting stuck on his tummy, and then crying, It took threatening tying him to the bed to get him to stop ;) I was just flipping him over and he went straight back to sleep but it was very wearing. You have my sympathy, hope you have a nice scrub in the tub! always nice to find a fellow Scottish chick as well xxx

Oh and hubby made me a herbal tea, so not going to bother with my hot choc, had a jaffa cake instead, so syns will be up 0.5.

Morning hunni, how are you today? Any plans for the day? We were up at 5.30am this morning :sigh: but at least i am now organised to go out and get everything done before the nursery runxxxx

aw it will feel a long day for you, naughty baba!

I was snooping and we are a similar height, with similar original weights, but you are heading much lower than me. I find that anything less than 8.5 and I feel too skinny! It is funny how different people carry weight differently though isn't it? I have a friend the same height as me who is a size 14 at around 11 stone, whereas I slip into 14's when I am 12 stone. size 8-10 by 9 stone lol.

Now, today, I have done week 5 session 1 of couch to 5k, it was 3x 5 minute jogs today, I jogged a tiny bit faster than last week, AND just for the sake of it I ran 6 mins instead of 5 on the 3rd run, so pleased with myself, I am confident I can manage 8 mins now for my next session, still not convinced about 20 mins by the end of the week tho lol.

My little one is with my childminder this morning for couple hours, so I am munching my way through HE wholemeal crackers, and HE cheese with 2 syns of pickle, and a pack of sweet chilli snack a jacks at 4.5 syns. That will be lunch, and I need to jump in the shower now to go get my son, and usually I stay a while and have catch up as she isn't just a childminder but my long term friend.

I am so excited that I ran for 6 mins lol.

I know its strange how that works lol! I was 7st 12lb when i got pregnant with first daughter so thats why i made that my target, haven't fully decided if that will be where i will/should be now but at that i was a size 8-10. right now i would be happy just to get into the 11's lol! i think my/our range is something like 7st3lb - 9st 8lb or around that anyway, so i would be thrilled just to get into that range!

Well done on the 6 mins thats fab, i couldn't run for 6 seconds lol xxxxx

It is very interesting reading about the babies sleeping etc. When my granddaugher stays, she is 8 1/2 she sleeps in my bed and is such a fidget. Grandson age 4 1/2 sleeps in with his mum and in my house he always wets the bed on the first night. Then in the morning he comes into my bed and says `sorry Nanny I wet the bed, I have taken trousers off, can I get in with you?` Oh so lovely. Doesn`t wet any other bedtime. They are good if they get up before me, they read or go down and put TV on.
By the way shorties I am about 5.7.
Have a good day/

Well done on completing week 5, day 1. You're doing so well with it all. Has it made it a little easier now that your hubby knows? x

I don't notice people's heights stats much but you and Lynne are very tiny little women

Well done on the running Izzy, you're becoming a machine! A very tiny but very fierce running machine :p

P.S Hope little one got on alright with your childminder - is he having a few settling sessions before you go back to work? xx

Lynne, when I started i was counting down the seconds on the 60 second jogs I found it sooo hard! But it's definitely getting easier.

Doreen, I know lots of people who sleep with their children but it's not for me I'd never be able to sleep properly! It's not unusual for a child the age of your grandson to have the odd accident especially when they are away from home.

Bev, yes I have to admit it is easier now he knows because I can fit my sessions into mornings which seems to be my best time, odd really because I never would have said I was a morning person haha!

Hi Cherry, nice to have you aboard! Do you have a diary? I will go snoop in a while

Lo, I'm not so tiny, perhaps in height but not girth haha

Today has been fine, had the food as described earlier, then 2 teas with milk and sugar at my friends house (3syn) whilst at my friends house I got a message from hubby complaining the shower wasn't working (which I lolled at because I got my shower after my treadmilling no problem) he had been for a 6 mile run and couldn't shower poor smelly man haha. Anyway turns out it's a water main problem effecting the whole village, still have very little flow.

When I got home, I had a jaffa cake and almost forgot to add it to my sw diary, but thankfully I did remember, also had some strawberries and blueberries. Tea was bolognaise made with mince, onions, garlic, carrots, and because I didn't fancy pasta I had parsnip chips, followed by a fat free yog. Sitting on 12.5 syns. I have plenty fruit if I fancy a snack later.

I'm having one of those little wobbles where I remember that my target is so far away, but I have reminded myself that looking and feeling better is not so far away because even half a stone can make a difference.

I just hope that after my weekend sneaky weighs showing a gain and then a sts, that I lose at least 1/2lb on weds. If I do I will be happy enough that I will have lost weight 4 weeks in a row, which is something to celebrate even if it's not the amounts that I would like, a loss is a loss!

Stop the sneaky scale peeking and you won't feel so wobbly headed. You may have a way to go yet until target but you're 1st 7lbs closer to it than you were before so focus on that achievement instead :)

I don't like parsnips unless they're aunt bessie's honey roasted ones but I guess they're not the best choice anymore

Lol at your smelly husband - did you actually say LOL out loud? I'm ashamed to say I've done that IRL, it happens when I hang around with minis people too long :8855:

Hi Cherry, nice to have you aboard! Do you have a diary? I will go snoop in a while

Yeah i do, it's here http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-weight-loss-diary/319082-lizzys-diary-halfway-target.html :)

RE the scale hopping, i get on mine every day.. i find it does give me the kick up the bum i need if i don't see a loss but i will admit it has been my downfall too! the amount of times it has lead to me going off track and being back at my start weight last year. Try and stay off them, I haven't been on mine at all this week and i feel much better for it too. :)

I am guilty of checking the scales way too often  and it just ends up driving me nuts! I thought i'd get a sts this week but did lose 1lb so better result than expected. i would really need to get rid of my scales to stop me checking lol xxx

I find it hard too not to get on the scales. I leave if maybe one day at the most two days. Does not always help but I have to do it.

I am doing sw from home so I can't chuck them anyway and hubby uses them too so he would want to know what I had done with them lol.

today (weather permitting) is my daughters school sports day, so that will be fun, along with trying to keep her brother amused, but I should be grateful at least he isn't fully crawling so I won't have to chase him about. He does move around with rolling and shuffling, but nothing that outpaces his Mummy yet! Won't be long though I think he will crawl soon.

Probably my normal fruit and yog for breakfast, will probably throw together a packed lunch, HE bread with ham and cheese, perhaps bring some a little tub with some beetroot, some fruit, and a bag of snack a jacks. Tea tonight is chop chop pork chops. Probably with rice.

Our water is back to normal flow today, came back on last night and hubby was relieved to be able to finally have his shower lol.

Daughter has band practise tonight and I'm planning a long walkie with my friend after that, busy day by my standards!

Happy tuesday mini's

Get your hubby to hide them and both stick to weighing once a week? If he thinks it's a lot of faffing about explain that the hopping on and off is making you a bit anxious?

It's turned cloudy and wet down in Manchester, hope you've still got the sun in Scotland for the sports day and your walkies :)

I wouldn't say it's making me too anxious, so long as they keep going down at least a little on a weds lol.

It's not sunny today, but would be grand if it stayed dry for the sports day, when it comes to the walkies later I don't actually mind, when we've planned a walk we go, regardless of the weather :)

It's the 'just as long as they're going down' bit I worry about lol But of course it's up to you where scales are concerned :)

You're made of sterner stuff than me, I can't be bothered on rainy days. Which isn't good where I live lol Got squats to do today though so I'll get some activity in :D

Hope you have a good day.
The weather isn't very nice here today, bit muggy... Still quite warm though :) Enjoy your walk!
