Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

My tornadoes aren't too bad at the moment though, the 8 year old is fine if she made a mess I can ask her to sort it and she does, and the baby isn't messy yet lol. I know that will change very soon tho......

I tried on my work trousers, I was pregnant when our uniform changed so I had to guess at what size I wanted, and I think I was a little overoptimistic at what size I was hoping to be lol. I need to lose several inches to fit into those whoops. Ah well when I go back if I haven't made it they will just have to order me bigger ones.

All I can do is keep going.

Not up to much today but will try to get my last session of week 5 of my jogging done :)

Already had some fruit and quark for breakfast, got left over canned spaghetti so will maybe have that in a baked potato at lunch, and was going to have stir fry for tea, but there are a couple pork chops that need using so I might have those instead. No plans for my HE's or syns so I'll pop those in when I am hungry :)

:talk017:Woo Hoo! go you! That is amazing!
:worthy: Hats off to you hun!

Well done, 20 minutes is fantastic! So is that you more than half way through the c25k? It's a 9 week programme isn't it? x

yes it's 9 weeks, and should have me managing to jog for 30 mins by the end, in my case that won't actually be 5k as I jog slower, but I can build on it. For the first time really I now believe I can actually do it!

Every week I have started wondering *if* I can manage all the sessions, and every week I have, I think there is a lesson in there somewhere lol.

There definitely is a lesson there and I'm feeling slightly inspired by your progress. So much so, I've been out this morning and bought a new pair of trainers that would be suitable for running. Not quite sure I'm confident enough to actually start c25k yet but it's a step closer I suppose....! I'll keep going with the gym and walking and hopefully I'll be able to build my confidence and fitness enough to feel like I might actually be able to succeed at c25k. I think if I could do it on a treadmill I'd be a bit more willing to give it a go at this stage but I just can't run on a treadmill, I feel too off-balance :(

Which app do you use for it? I've seen loads and I'm not sure which one would be best. I've also seen the MP3 that you can get on the NHS website and the reviews of that are good. My next step might be to actually download it.....

Emoticon fireworks! lol

You're a star, from 60 seconds to 20 mins in 5 weeks is amazing!

Glad sports day went well :) And a late night swinging in the park huh? I'd say it's always the quiet ones but I don't think this applies to you :giggle:x

Thank you everybody, it's so nice to share the buzz :)

Bev, I think all the apps are based on the same programme, so it shouldn't really matter which one you get. I started off having the kindle app, but was also using my kindle at the same time to stream something to watch from lovefilm, so I didn't always hear the prompt to walk/run properly. So I downloaded the app for my mobile, which was exactly the same, so now I have my phone on telling me when to start and stop and watching whatever on my kindle. I'd just go into your usual App store you use on your mobile and you will likely find the one that is compatible with your phone. I am actually thinking now that I would like to run outside, but I can't face knowing people can see me yet lol. If I am still keeping up with it later in the year, and I have lost more weight and feel better about myself - I may start venturing out in the dark with a hoddie top! Then by spring/summer I probably won't care who sees me.

We do have a nice forest near here, and I have considered taking myself down there to jog as it's never busy, but it would take 15 mins walk there, 15 mins back, plus the jog, and I'm not sure I have that level of commitment. If you have somewhere nearby that is safe but relatively quiet then that would be a good place to start.

LoChan, well no, I can't pretend I am one of the quiet ones :8855:

Thanks, I'll have a look at my app store and see what's available. There are a few nice parks in my area but they're all a bit hilly :(, I think I'd probably have to brave road running, eek!

You're lucky to live in a place where you can feel safe going out to run at night :) I never go out round here in the dark, not safe at all :(

Hope you're having a good evening hun x

well done Izzy I bet OH is over the moon for you too?? considering he didnt know in the beginning whoop hats off to ya gal

yeah we are very lucky where we live I feel very safe here, able to give our kids a good amount of freedom too!

OH says the thing he is most impressed with is that I have stuck at it for 5 weeks lol, he does encourage me though.

I've had a mostly lazy day and am now really tired for no good reason lol

Today I must remember to post my fathers day card to my Dad, Must remember, must remember, as well as need to get some milk for hubby as I was supposed to pick some up yesterday and forgot lol. I just don't think of it as I'm not using milk at all just now. Getting plenty dairy with my cheese and yoghurt though. I also have an amazon return to post.

Looks like a nice day, and I have had my first feeling that my hay fever is about to kick in, Usually it happens earlier in the year than now so I am thankful and it isn't bad yet. My hay fever is odd though it's different every year! Although a very strange thing - 6 years ago was the last time I achieved a healthy weight - I didn't have hay fever that year. If anyone has an explanation for that I'd be interested to hear it! Hoping it will be the same again if I can lose my weight.

I end up usually having to try different tablets each year as the same thing doesn't seem to work a 2nd year, however last year when I was pregnant I was hesitant to take antihistamines and the doctor prescribed a nasal inhaler and I was pleased with how well it worked, so another job for today is to pop into the chemist and pick up eye drops and a nasal inhaler.

sooo... post office, chemist, followed by a walkie around the village is sounding very much like the days plan.

food wise I will be predictable with fruit and yog for breakie, my usual don't know yet for lunch, and we're having fish for tea. I will probably have my HE cheese melted on top with sw potato and parsnip chips, with a side helping of the veg I found I liked the other day (courgette, onions, peppers, cherry toms cooked in frylight then a splodge of tomato puree and half a teaspoon of curry powder) yummy yummy.

slight adjustment to breakfast

Quark mixed with sweetner, chopped banana, strawberries, a crumbled aldi benefit bar (1/2 HE) and a tbsp of maple syrup, all mixed up. OMG it was so nice it felt like pudding :)
