JanD's Maintenance Diary. Into the 2nd year :o)))

Yo! I am back!!! :giggle: Just read and caught up on your past few days. Glad ya got the munchies under control and even after that you managed a loss! You really are farrrrrr too good mrs!!! hehe well done though :)

Noooooooooo only 4 days untill your holidays! :( It will be even quieter again around here! *sniff sniff* xxx

Well done you Jan ;-)!!!! so pleased for you and that feeling of bloatedness going on holiday is horrid! So, stay clear ya hear now :)

Have a great time and no doubt catch up when you come back!!

Well done on another loss Jan, they all add up. Your weight maintenance is brilliant. Just 2lbs up on last hol's weight, brilliant!
Bet you will enjoy your holiday even more knowing that!! Hope you have a nice lunch with your mum, that's a nice idea to do that before you go away.

Good luck with keeping that holiday mode at bay, it'll come soon enough!

Hey you!!! Only 0.6lb up on when I went away this time last year!! Don't be adding the lbs on I'm good enough at doing that myself!! Lol ;)
The 2lb was where I'd have liked to be! :)

I'll let you off - just this once :D xx

Thanks guys :D - nice to 'see' you Iris ;) Missed you Tan  I'll pop on a couple of times while I'm away - but not often ;) xx

:D well done on the loss jan!! Doing incredibly well !! Just a nice boost before hols eh?? Good on u!

On bad note - trials nit nice - for a rape :( :(

Thanks Jayne :)

Sorry, the trial must be difficult, but without people like you supporting the victim ... where would we be?? Thank you :)

Have to own up to extras in work
Slice thick white bread with clover
4 squares choc
a weeto's cereal bar

**sigh** xx

Sorry about that little mistake Jan, must have misread it somewhere. You must be so chuffed to be weighing (almost) the same as last time you went away, that's brilliant. All your summer clothes will fit from last time as well, fantastic! I would never knowingly add weight on to anyone, we all know how easy that is to do ourselves!

What's a chocolate hedgehog? Haven't got a sainsbury close by so never go in one!

Chocolate hedgeog? Have i missed something?! :giggle:

Hedgehog-flowwrapped.jpg
These are the ones. I see them every week on the cafe counter and decided to have one yesterday ... wouldn't bother again - nearly broke my teeth they're so hard!!! :) And Yeah - Tan! Not like you to miss a comment about chocolate! Lol!

NOT good this morning - well it started in the night didn't it?! :(

Mum's - Crust off a small wholemeal toasted with clover and lf pate and 5 sqs galaxy - oh yeah and a biscuit!

Breakie - Oat so simple golden syrup porridge AND 4 oatcakes, 2 with houmous & 2 with egg & bacon sarnie filler.

Bed

Tea - Baked salmon with roasted, tomatoes, courgettes & mushrooms.
3 small plums & half a nectarine, shape zero.

Work - chicken, ham & cottage cheese salad with balsamic, 2 plums & pear. xx

Edit - Piece of choc off top of a cake
4 sqs choc

Shame those hedgehogs are rock hard, they look so yummy too!

When are you off on hols then Jan, is it the weekend? Not sure when it is you're going but hope you have a fantastic time away, I'm sure you will.

Jan, I hope you don't mind but I'm following your thread as I'm curious to know what it's like trying to keep it off! Like me you obviously like chocolate and still eat it.....I was hoping that by the time I'd lost the weight that my palate would've changed so much that I wouldn't want to eat it again as it really is a problem food for me and I simply can't just eat a couple of squares - it's got to be a whole twix!

Do you still crave chocolate? And if so, do you feel totally in control enough to still eat it? I honestly think that it's like alcohol for me.......

Mmmmm lots of chocolate last night/today mrs!
Maybe thats not what i should be saying and i should be saying "now mrs rap it in" :giggle: xxx

Actually Bev it's probably a good thing or I'd be having one every week! ;)

We're off sooo early on Sunday morning it's actually late Saturday night. Leaving the house about 2.15am ... can't wait - I can say that because I AM practically organised now ;) And thanks - as long as I can relax and get loads of sleep I WILL have a brill time :) xx

Hi Sandra!! :)
I don't mind at all - the more the merrier!!
I won't lie .... it's not easy maintaining. Losing the weight is the easy part. However I keep telling myself that, no matter how difficult it might be it's where I want to be and far better to struggle with that than a massive weight problem!

I think we all think when we're TFRing that we have cracked all our food demons. This is because we don't have to face them or deal with them because they simply aren't there, so aren't an option or an issue. At first, during refeed and maybe for a while afterwards it still isn't an issue, as eating at all is such a novelty. However as we get used to it and begin to introduce more things - that's when our old 'issues' can raise their heads again.
If you able to be one of the lucky people who can have 'everything in moderation' that's great. Personally I have been a bit disappointed to find I am still an 'all or nothing' gal. I wouldn't say I 'crave' chocolate. But I know if I start I won't be able to stop till it's all gone and I'll probably be looking for more. I buy in stuff I don't like for that reason.

So - as you can see, I have by no means 'cracked it'. I obviously still have issues because I have yet to find a happy medium and be able to have everything in moderation. And maybe that's how it's going to be for me. Maybe I'll spend the rest of my life yo-yoing a few lbs or half a stone, eating loads for a couple of days and then trying to compensate and that's not ideal BUT - at the moment I see it as better than yo-yoing stones and stones like I did for over 30 years before doing LT. When I can do better I will but if that's how it has to be for now - it's better than it was before.

Sorry that turned into a bit of a long'un ;) It probably isn't what you want to hear but you asked ;) ..... Best of luck to you anyway and well done on your 8lb start!! :)

Maybe you should - only you know I wouldn't take any notice ... DANG holiday mode's got a hold  xx

RIGHT!!!! THAT IS POSITIVELY THE LAST TIME I HAVE MY FINAL WEIGH IN MORE THAN 3 DAYS BEFORE I GO ON HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!

I've been fighting holiday mode since wednesday (unsuccessfully!) .... I'm annoyed with myself because there's no way I can carry on like this for a fortnight! I'll come back like the side of a house AND naked!! WELL Nothing's gonna fit me!!! :(
