:D I take a while to thaw too - particular stubborn and unreasonable o/h on occasion at this end too :rolleyes:

I may have to pick your brains for recipes when I finally get my head round making something other than salads :eek: you girls always sound like you make such scrummy (and healthy) food.

I'm sure you'll have a fabby holiday and you'll see the little 'uns soon enough :D
 
Thursday 2nd September

Nothing at Mum's :)

Breakie - Chicken, hard boiled egg, pork loin & cottage cheese with balsamic.

Bed

Tea - Chicken breast baked with phili light & bacon with stirfried veg
A few berries & ff from frais

Work - chicken, egg & cottage cheese salad, wholemeal roll, pear, nectarine.

Could have kicked myself for that weeto bar last night though :eek: .. It might only be 100 cals but I didn't need it .. GRRR! x
 
Wheeto bar?!!!! Must've missed you editing that. Do you mean the cereal ones? I love the cocopops ones!!! :drool: lol x

Ha Ha ... yes they sell that in Sainsbury's - I've bought it a couple of times for my DIL .... well her name's Katy so thought it'd be rude not to ;) xx

Ah i've never seen it before - tempted to try it!

Ahhh cereal bars! I bet it was scrummy though! I doubt its going to do much, if any damage! :Dxxx

It's FAR to soon to be slipping into holiday mode!!! Must get a grip and not just have something coz I see it!! xx
 
Jan I still think you are doing amazingly well. You need to try to think of a distraction of some sort - it's easier to forget about food when you're busy ey? xx
 
That flippin holiday mode eh!!! :sigh: Its a bugger! I'm feeling it today as tonight is my last night of work untill wednesday!

Jan, don't go worrying about holiday mode just yet, your menus are looking really good lately and nothing at mum's recently, well done you. It's so hard when you have bad habits where food is concerned but looks like you've broken that one! Good for you.

Not long til hols now, lucky you. It's Kefalonia isn't it? I bet it's gorgeous over there this time of year. Hope you have a great one, I know you will.

Ah thanks Jayne. Mmmm - I know what you mean but there's nothing I can get 'busy' with when I'm in work and that's when the 'feelings' ;) have been coming over me and I've been 'pinching' the cereal bars. Then of course, I'm looking for more!! x

Thanks Bev .. blotted my copybook a little at Mum's this morning but I was HUNGRY (not 'picky' - genuinely hungry) and chose as wisely as I could from her supplies. (ie - NOT the biscuit tin or sweetie cupboard ;))

Yes - Kef again this year - we love it. I think we may get a bit of rain as we're going a little later but I really don't care. As long as I can relax I'll be happy :D xx
 
Friday 3rd September

Mum's ... was HUNGRY!! Managed to block from my mnd the copious amounts of sweet stuff she always has in and had the crust off a small wholemeal loaf toasted, with cottage cheese.

Breakie - Hard boiled eggs, pork loin, balsamic & vlf salad cream .... was still looking for something else so had 2 oatcakes with houmous before I went to bed.

Bed

Tea - A 'Look what we found' pouch of Chili, nectarine

Work - Chicken, boiled egg & cottage cheese salad, nectarine, pear

I may have something at mum's in the morning because I'm going to tescos on the way home & otherwise it'll be too long between meals .... but I shouldn't really be planning to should I? Lol! Setting up the permission there ;) .. though it really will be about 6-7 waking hours without food otherwise ;):) xx

Edit - Go Ahead fruits of the forest yoghurt break pack at about 4.30am .. OFGS!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: x

I'm like that with cottage cheese ..... eat and eat it till I get sick of it and can't stand the sight of it so don't eat it for aaaaaaaaages then get it again and think - ooooo this is great - why haven't I been eating it?? Fortunately my daughter's into it at the moment too which was why there was a pot in Mum's fridge (she stays there a lot).

As for me and 'im ..... 'getting there' best describes it ;) xx
 
At least it was only something from the go ahead range and nothing from the "fat box" range lol xx
 
Jayne .... that was nothing .... Oh dear - what a day ... well morning anyway - but I can feel it's not gone yet :(

Saturday 4th September

Mum's ..... Crust off a small wholemeal toasted, with - clover, phili light (LOADS) & chunks of corned beef (Oh - while I'm at it I forgot to mention the 3 almonds I had there last night) ... a half covered coconut biscuit and a strip off a bar of galaxy (I think it was 5 bits)

Home before bed ... **deep breath** ... Slice of bread with olive light spread, 2 bacon rashers (fat removed, as if it would make much difference :eek:) and mayo light. THEN .... A vanilla cream danish pastry I got in tescos :(, 2 jam and cream biscuits and a pkt of cadburys mini animals.

Went to bed but couldn't sleep - about 1pm came down and got slice of bread with olive light spread, cheese & light mayo and 2 jam & cream biscuits.

Slept a bit ...

Tea - was supposed to be River cobbler & stir fry but I felt like something more than that so had chicken & chick pea tagine (tesco cook in sauce - just added the chicken) with cous cous.

Having wine - not promising I won't have anything else to eat before I go to bed :( xx

Edit2 - 4 oatcakes - 2 with houmous & 2 with egg & bacon sandwich filler
Edit3 - 2 Rocky choc biccies & ANOTHER packet of cadbury's mini animals :(

Now I know this might sound like an excuse but ......

..... I'm doing a Reiki & Seichem attunement tomorrow. One thing I always have on hand during those days is snacks, biscuits or whatever because the energy passing through/into people on these days can leave them needing grounding. One way to do this is to eat something.
It's been a while since I've done one of these so it's possible (or a good excuse ;)) that I am needing more calories to ensure I stay grounded whilst passing on the energy/knowledge tomorrow. ... We-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell ....... I tried ;) xxx
