JanD's Maintenance Diary, wk 25 onwards.

sounds as though you have got a good plan with the diet chef...did you lose a lot of that diet? what is the average Jan? Just curious.

So you are back to work tomorrow..hope you are ok!!!!

DC say you can expect a stone in the first month and then about 2-3lbs a week - I can't honestly remember exactly what I did but I think I certainly did the 1st stone. Trouble is you start playing around adding things in and getting away with it so adding a bit more till you stop losing anything at all.

As I only want to lose about 8 or 9 lbs I'm hoping it'll do for me - if ya see what I mean.

I'm much better thanks Iris ;) xx

Glad your feeling better Jan, thats good to hear.

Oooh that filler, after reading your threads a few weeks ago, I went and bought a couple of jars, really enjoyed them too, so the remainder is waiting in the fridge for after TFR.

Good luck with the diet chef meals - I had a free sample from them last year and it was chicken (forget what it came with) but that one was quite tasty and a tidy size portion of chicken too.

I can only find a couple of their meals so - without sending away for them, which isn't worth it for a couple, I'll be substituting things like the river cobbler & veg etc but just trying to stick to the principles. Except I WILL have the v&cs
Won't have any wine though .... probably :( ..... hmmmmmmm xx

Wed Jan 13th

Breakie - 5ogms Lizi's granola, blueberries & skimmed milk

Lunch - DIL gave me a bowl of carrot & coriander soup. Wasn't filling enough so am going to have a cupasoup to supplement it. It's only 3pm and I'm really quite hungry.

Update later x

Must be something in the air jan - im feeling really hungry today too - might be cuz i skipped a proper tea last night though?! hmmm lol

Are you feeling better now and back at work?x

Hmmm.........I am feeling quite hungry too. I might as well pop into the kitchen and slave over a hot kettle and liquidiser and muster myself up a delicious hot chocolate with peppermint shake...........lol.

Just sitting with DH who is eating bacon, sausages, fried potatoes, tomatoes and munching and dipping his white bread and butter into the tomato juice, which is sprinkled with black pepper and a smidging of salt, ..................... GRRR...........lol.

Nah, actually got a rumbly tummy so will go and have my strawberry shake. I find it helps to watch him eat though, just like I did the last time on TFR, quite satisfying watching every morsel going into his mouth lol.

Sounds like torture to me Mary ... I used to leave my DH to it - still we all find our own best ways to cope don't we? Look at all the cooking/baking Tan did?! I couldn't have done that! Really glad you're doing okay though, whatever gets you through eh?

Much better than I was now thanks Tan and yes ... the down side to that is - back to work tonight **thinks ... must ring the place I go to see what the road's like - it's on a hill and we've had more snow on top of the old stuff** :(

Had a chicken noodle cupasoup - only 49 cals. Will also be taking a pouch of soup to work ... Green Giant country vegetable I think and a snack, a food doctor fruit bar or a slimfast snack bar probably. xx

Hopefully the roads are ok Jan. I didnt get to work tonight, we are still snowed in and the 4x4 couldnt get up for me.

Back to work tomorrow night though probably, seems to be thawing a little bit now.

Wasn't too bad getting here - just had to walk last few hundred yards. I live on a main road so okay that end.

Nice night off for you - will you still get paid? Not your fault after all!

My food diary is very bitty for today ....

Tea - Pollock a la bordelaise, asparagus & carrots, pear.
& have brought with me what I said earlier I probably would. Feel as though it's going to be a long night! xx

Edited to add - 1 Lindor hazelnut choc .... Why do people have to leave damn chocs lying around !! Grrr ;o) x

How selfish of them!!! :giggle:

Yeah Jan, I will still get paid.

I know what you mean about people leaving chocolates laying about, I have come into work tonight, there are 20+ mince pies and a few Roses chocolates.......GRRR and double GRRR.

I had a look at the website.....if you are living on your own, it is actually not too bad eh.....quite cheap really, considering what I pay for LT!! haha....It was good just understanding it more as I know you mention sometimes about having a Diet chef meal, now I will know what you are talking about!

Glad you are feeling better.....keep looking after yourself though :)

The only chocs lying around now are dark ones and I won't eat them even if I'm desperate!
Stay away from those mince pies Mary!!!! ;)

Thurs 14th Jan

Breakie - 5ogms Lizi's granola, blueberries & skimmed milk

Bed most of day but up early for hosp app so had a piece of toast with phili light (rationalised the bread with not having any with my soup last night)

Tea - Chilli pouch meal with added sprouted beans and brocolli, pear

Have brought a tin of Lentil & bacon soup and an 'eat well' kids lunch box snack - which I've already had, it was really nice if a little sweet. xx

I was wrong! ... there was milk choc in the kitchen and I had 3 squares  ... and a handful of mixed nuts xx

Morning Jan!
Why dont you like dark chocolate?!!! Its better for you as in your wont eat as much - well in theory! :giggle:  :heartpump:

Though im sure 3squares and some nus arent going to do much damage! :) x

It's even better than that for me Tan - never mind not eating as much - I won't eat any! :) I just don't like the taste.

Fri 15th Jan

Had 2 dried figs and half a piece of toast with clover at Mum's

Breakie - 50gms Lizi's granola, blueberries & skimmed milk, piece bread with phili light and 3 silverskin pickles (!?)

Bed

Tea - Moroccan chick pea tagine pouch meal with green beans, pear. (Wasn't that fussy on the tagine - which is unfortunate as I'm going to Morocco a week on Tuesday! :()

Mum's - 2 dried figs & half a toasted teacake with clover

Have brought a tin of pea & ham soup and the same snack bar as last night to work.

Not managing to do this 100% - not sure why :( xx

What do you mean managing to do this 100%? as you guys say theres nothing exactly right or wrong about this whole maintainence malarky we are all different :)

Still, clover? Jan? lol :giggle: blurgh! minging stuff! lol xxx

But I'm supposed to be Diet Cheffing for a couple of weeks to try to lose the 8lbs I've put on since Christmas before I go to Morocco

(And you leave my clover alone!! :p)
