JanD's Maintenance Diary, wk 25 onwards.

Just a quickie ...

Food - off the scale - DH insisted I have a telephone consultation which has resulted in be having been given tamiflu ... So you see? It's official - I AM a pig

Although I feel really rough, to my mind I'm not really rough enough for flu but still ...

Not staying on tonight, just gonna check Facebook and then get back on the couch with me blankie :(

Hope you're all well ;) xx

Ahhhh you swine!!! :giggle: (couldnt resist that one sorry! lol)

A night on the sofa, blankie & vodka ... cosy!! :) Enjoy jan :) x

Ta Tan .. Hope you have good evening xx

Yoo to my sweet :) x

Hey honey, sorry to hear you have been having a rough time. Did you ever see your doctor abour the chest pains that must have been so scary??? I hate being sick especially when its your throat, i'm the same i just keep drinking tea and that even hurts sometimes haha! You seem to be getting sick alot invest in some vitamins you have a pretty busy life so your immune system is prob a little weak at the mo.

I'm sure you will be back on track really soon. Just concentrate on getting better and you will be flying again soon. xxx

sorry to hear you are so poorly Jan...feel bad now that I havent come on sooner to see how you are!!!!!!

do hope you get yourself well soon.....although you will officially have to stay off work for 7 days!!! if you are a swine (like Tanya says) :) :)

oh, do hope you are feeling back to yourself soon....no fun - eh! You havent been yourself for a few weeks, so hopefully this is it coming to a head and you will get rid of all the germs and then be as right as rain!!

take care!!!!!! and I say TAKE CARE....and be taken care of too :)

Funny - our perspective of things isn't it? A couple of you have said I haven't been well for a while whereas from my side all I've had is my ongoing 'arthritis' investigations which came to include all that wasted time at the hospital the other week when my GP went a bit far with her 'precautions' - there wasn't actually anything wrong with me don't forget!

Ah well ... perhaps I should stop moaning so much  :)

Slightly better than yesterday I think .. fingers crossed.

Eaten loads - including an awful lot of Celebrations my daughter had left over from christmas :( dreading getting weighed tomorrow ... may not bother xx

BTW Iris - Is that true about the time off? I only started the Tamiflu yesterday & I'm due back in on Wednesday - are you supposed to stay off for 7 days?

I dont think you have been right..read through your posts for the past few months !

Re: swine flu, if this is what you have, then yes, you are suppose to have 7 days off....need quarantine; well this is my understanding of it and with the people I know who have had it they have had to do this.

Need to have a look and see what the NHS says.

Yar im sure its 7days too :)

Celebrations hey - ive been munching the quality streets today  lol

Don't think I'll bother reading back Iris .... I'd rather hang onto the illussion I'm not always ill! ;) Rightly or wrongly :) HaHa! x

Now normally I'd say I'm not fussy on Quality Street Tan but the mood I'm in I'd have anything ;) xx

Im not fussy on them either - but its just there lol

HaHa I know!

I'm paying the price because I've put on another 3.2lbs :(:(

SO now - instead of having about 5lbs to lose in 3 weeks I now have about 8lbs to lose in 2 weeks .....:eek::(

Ah well - my own fault -

DH went out to do a bit of shopping this morning and came back with a little box of 4 Lindt chocs ... I'd been weighed and really didn't want to have any but felt bad on him (not JUST an excuse honest ) - he thought I was being really generous sharing them and insisting he had 2 - when really I'd have prefered him to eat them all!
I have a piece of tirimasu cake which I'm having after my tea and that's it 'nawty'-wise!!!! I have to shift as least SOME of these gains or nothing will fit me when I go to Marrakech in 2 weeks!

So - Monday 11th Jan

Breakie/lunch - 2 weetabix, splenda & skimmed milk
2 lindt chocs
Tea will be slow cooked lamb shoulder, veg & a bit of colcannon, tirimasu cake.

May have a coupla v&cs .... Interesting thing here - not fancying wine at all and only having small v&cs as feel as though they're bloating me. Don't tell me I'm naturally limiting myself (nawwww - doubt it ;)) xx

marrakech - im not the slightest bit jealous ........................honest! :sigh: lol

HeeHee ... Only going for 4 days ... hardly worth packing really Tan ;) going with a friend for her birthday :) xx

Jan, how are you feeling? So sorry to read that you have been ill, hopefully now you are getting on the mend.

Dont worry about your small gain chick, like what was said above, you need to feed a cold - a firm believer in that. You will soon get back on track and lose those few lbs.

Have a great time in Marakesh, what date are you going? I would love to visit there one day.

Much better today thanks Mary .. back to work tomorrow night!

I've been out and got the stuff to (sort of) do Diet Chef for a couple of weeks - or a variation of it anyway. When I was doing out the fridge when I got back I came across a tub of cheese & onion sandwich filler (love it) so of course I filled it with washing up liquid and binned it .... HA HA HA - Like hell!!! I piled it on a ryvita (and I mean PILED) and ate it!!! So not a great start ... and the v & c s I'll be having later aren't exactly on the plan either but still an improvement on what I've been having.

I go to Marrakech on 26th and back on 30th :) xx

Tues 12th Jan

Breakie - 50gms Lizi's granola, blueberries & skimmed milk

Lunch - Half a carton of Covent Garden winter veg soup & half a granary roll

1 pumpkin seed ryvita piled high with cheese & onion sandwich filler

Tea - Baked salmon with roasted cherry toms & courgette.

Snack - one of the bought healthy snacks I got in for the purpose.

coupla v&cs  xx

Jan, im sure ive asked this before but whats diet chef? is it expensive? x

If you buy it week by week or month by month it's £47.50 a week plus £4.95 delivery but if you sign up for the regular monthly delivery it's a bit cheaper. They send you all your meals in individual portions including a snack per day - you just add fruit and veg and milk or yoghurt. It's all healthy stuff, no added preservatives etc and you just microwave the pouches.

If you're willing to measure out your own cereal and do a bit of legwork you can source the stuff yourself which makes it a bit cheaper. I enjoyed it when I did it so I thought I'd follow the principles for a while and see how I go.

www.dietchef.com if you want to see the food etc xx
