Saw on fb this morning that she'd be back in the uk in 29 hours so I guess she'll be back in a couplea days! Can't wait to hear all about it xxx

Got home last night about 6pm, went to bed about 9.30 & slept till 10am this morning (not right through but I never do, only woke to turn over though & 1 bathroom trip). Been to Mum's today but have spent much of it in the Walk-in centre and then the doctor's (who magically found an appointment for me when the Nurse/Practitioner rang them and said I needed to see someone .. funny that, they didn't have any when I said I needed to see someone.) It's nothing really, I just broke out in the most AMAZING rash, it started with one or two spots that lasted about a day or two but Sunday got MUCH worse and I scratched my self to death during both of the Loooooooong flights home. It's apparrently Urticaria and looks like this
This is NOT me - I have not had my boobs removed - nor am I this slim
The purply bit at the bottom is the way the skin is left as the bumps fade - it looks awful but is better than the damn ITCHING!!!! It's an allergy but don't know what to If it doesn't clear up in a few days I'll have to have tests.
ANYHOO -- lovely to be missed. We DID have a great time but the weather was pants!! Only 4 nice days the whole time. Still it was a fantastic experience and I'm glad we went. John had 4 days diving altogether and enjoyed them all although the Sydney one had to be done at another site as the harbour was too stormy and wash from a boat knocked him into the pillars of a pier. Cutting and bruising his hand and bruising the opposite hip as he was buffeted from one side to the other. But he's fine
We've just noticed that my top lip has swollen up - could be the tablets according to the leaflet, probably is at it feels a bit numb
Off to grab some knives and forks coz John's gone to the chippie - I'll try to catch up more later but I know I won't get through 2.5weeks of posts in all your threads is going to be almost impossible so forgive me if I miss anything important
I'll also tell you more about what we did etc when I get a chance xxx

Ouchy that rash doesnt look good!! Glad you've been seen to though, even if the tabs are giving you a fat lip!! :giggle: It would still be good to have the tests though to see what caused it so you know not to have/touch it again. Will they still do the tests if it has cleared? Would make sense to.
So nice to hear you both had a lovely time, despite only having 4nice weather days. It certainly will be an experience you'll never forget. I can't wait to hear more and see the piccies!!

No no 'roos' Mind you we didn't make into the outback and I didn't want to go to the wildlife park - if I want to see them in captivity I can go to Chester Zoo. We DID follow a sign that said Koala Park, it was only after driving around and not finding it we realised it was a neighbourhood not a park with koalas in it LOL! It would be like going to the Isle of Dogs expecting it to be full of dogs

Thats a bummer they wont do the tests - do you reckon you know what caused it? Sometimes we can work it out just by something different we ate etc.

I've no idea what caused it - I had a few odd spots before we went away which were a bit itchy, while there I got a few odd ones now and then which itched and went a way after a day or so but nothing like this - it's all over me and those flippin' tablets only worked for about an hour - it's driving me crazy!!!
And no - no koalas either .. the only things we saw 'in the wild' so to speak were parrots, kiwis (bird not fruit ) and bats ... HUGE fruit bats in the Botanical Gardens in Sydney .. AMAZING!! I love bats but I wouldn't have liked one of these to land on me they were REALLY big and noisy too! xx

Jan, delighted to hear you got home safe and sound. Pity the weather was not as nice as you hoped. It seems you enjoyed it despite that. I hope the rash clears up soon. A friend of mine gets that sometimes when she is in the sun. She has to take antihistamines and uses calamine lotion to calm the itch. So I pity you as it must be very uncomfy.
