Jen, if your happy doing your own thing then go for it untill you feel ready to step back into a plan chick.
Sending ya a big sloppy cyber hug and hope your feeling more bouncy this evening x

I did not hear from the fella at all yesterday, which I was most annoyed about. Seems like he only speaks to me when he wants a whinge. Today, I get a text saying "On my way to Rio now." Can't you just smell the affection... Eurgh, men. Good job he's on the other side of the world, testing my restraint. T Mobile just text me to tell me that I have £11 credit left til tomorrow, when my allowances reset. Must.. not... cause.. international.... arguments.........

Woke up to a white outside today. Snow. Bl**dy snow again. It wasn't a great deal, it's probably all gone now. And I'm getting really fed up with people taking credit for MY hard work. Just cos I'm a contractor and get no benefits of it. That's fine, you all work your minimum hours, get yourselves home on time, and enjoy your team nights out and pay rises. B*llocks to muggins here who works overtime every sodding day to get the work done that you lot can't be bothered to do. Tempted to go sick for a couple of days, and that is so not like me.

I've just called the SW bandwagon to see if there's room for another.. :)

Brekkie - beans on toast - HEB
Snacks at work - banana, apple, strawburry yogurt.
Lunch - leftover pasta and quorn stuff
Tea - chicken chow mein type stuff with carrots and broccoli if I can get some [local shop isn't exactly brilliant!]

I want to get back into baking. I found a recipe for a Baked Oreo Cheesecake, I think I have to try. It's looking at me funny ;-) and I'm going to make a ham and broccoli quiche I think... Hmmm :)

Hooray! Another one on board ;)
Bloody men. Sometimes they are just totaly oblivious to everything.
ive seen that baked oreo cheesecake and it looks amazing.
And that wouldnt be my ham and broccoli quiche would it ;) hehe

Must.. not... cause.. international.... arguments.........

Sorry but this really cracked me up Jen. Bless you.
I won't say, 'ruddy menfolk' or 'sometimes they get right up my nose when they do this' or 'my fella is a n*bhead too' because I don't have a member of the menfolk brigade to call my own. However, I am empathising with you at the moment - because I hate people only texting me when they want to moan! Moan somewhere else - online in a forum where nobody knows you perhaps?!!! :D

Anyway, hope you're feeling better today and don't you worry about being 'off plan' sometimes all this counting/measuring/synning/praying rubbish is a bit much.

Sending the usual bunch of hugs :)

It was indeed jambon et broccoli quiche a'la Katie and damn was it good. I might have made a hell of a lot and be eating it forever, but it's gooood :)

Even the dog wanted some.
And looked completely PEEVED that she got none.

Sorry Reiver... haha

The cheesecake is in the oven as we speak, and it takes me til now to realise that I have used 6 gallons of quark [cheese] in this, and cottage cheese in the quiche... Ok, so it took Biker Boy TELLING me that cottage cheese is still cheese, for me to realise. OOPS MAJOR CHEESE FAIL.

Ah well.

Chit happens. :)

On a happier[ish] note, he got away from work, and got a day off today. Yay for him. Boo for me getting texts saying "I'm on Copacabana Beach". G!T :(

aaaahh see its diffrent then as i like quark quiche alot more than cottage cheese quiche. Glad you liked it anyway! Did you use the ham as a crust ?

I meant to add pictures to that... Dog, Quiche, Dog...

:)

Nah.. I kinda chucked the lot in a bowl and hoped for the best :D

I got the ham+Broccoli idea from you though, never would have put broccoli in a quichey thing!! :D

looks fabulous!

It tastes pretty good...

As for the cheesecake... well it still seems a bit wobbly... We'll leave it to set overnight in the fridge, see what happens... lol

Have a great wednesday Jen, hope you havent eaten all that gorgeous looking cheesecake!!!.xx

Gosh, that cheesecake looks delicious!!!!

Haha thanks everyone! I'll give a full report later... I have not eaten any of the cheesecake yet, I am saving that until I get in from WI tonight.....

Hurrah, no snow today!

Food today - We're doing an Extra Easy day.
Breakfast - beans on toast - HxB
Food I have at work, not sure if I will eat it all or not... - Slice of quiche, low fat supernoodles, apple banana and yogurt.
Potentially going to have some oatsosimple with nutella - 9 syns
After weigh in, I'll be having something, probably chicken with leftover massala sauce, its a WW sauce so 8 syns there I think, but it needs eating. And I'll stick some spinach in so it's healthy..

Either way, today I'm way over my syns, but that's ok. Actually, I dont think I fancy my porridge now. Hmm.

I'm quite looking forward to WI tonight, strangely. I don't know if I have lost anything, I would be happy with a STS to be honest. There has been a bit of faffing about and I have done my share of comforty-boredom eating so we shall see what happens.

Hope everyone has a good day today! I had an international text to say "Guess what? I'm having a good day :D" last night, so at last, hurrah, he is smiling.
24 hrs and he should be in the UK :) Not that I'm counting...

Well! Haven't you been busy?! Quiche and cheesecake?! They look lovely. I have to say, I'm more of a savoury fan myself so my vote is with the quiche but to be fair that cheesecake looks pretty awesome. I hope you enjoy it Jen. And worry not about the cheese. Maybe just count 'hard cheeses'?!!!

Hahaha , yes, ok, I admit the cheesecake is a bit.... deeper than I anticipated...!
When I made the base, it didnt quite stretch to cover the base of the intended tin, so I went to get more oreos from the packet, and alas, pops had scoffed the lot. So.. I thought I will use a smaller tin and make it smaller.... but didn't scale down the cheesey filling.
OOPS! :D

I went to Bikers to check on the place one last time. Got some bread and milk and a cookie for him, so he thinks I'm extra ace, and just as I was leaving walked past his ironing pile. Got to the car, and OCD took over, and I could not leave that heap of clothes there.... So I went back in and folded it up all neatly, no way am I ironining for him, but its neatly folded.

As I was doing so, my phone rang, and I now have an interview tomorrow afternoon.
It was like a sign....! SOMETHING made me go back to fold his washing. If I hadn't I would have missed the call, and not been able to return the call til tomorrow, and might miss the interview slot....

:O

I'm viewing it as a practice interview, we'll see how it goes.

Righty, I have prepped my dinner - Settled on a stir fry with chicken, pepper and spring onion, and will have noodles with that. Noodley day again. Now I'm off to fat club !

Good luck with your weigh in Jen - and for the interview tomorrow. Your cheesecake looks delicious, I wish I had the patience to make things like that!

Lesley

Gosh BB's time away seems to have flown by! Glad he'll be back by your side real soon. Must say the cheesecake looks lush - have a thing about cheesecakes; simply can not resist them! Good luck with interview tomorrow - thank heavens for OCD's! Hope WI went well x
