Jen's Green and EE diary :) Closed...new diary has been made!

Don't worry about the half pound on. There are loads of information on here about water retention etc when you start to excercise. Give it couple more weeks, if that, and you will be fine. I lost 1lb but am expecting to not like the scales next week either due to excercise.
I waited til it was dark before attempting my run ha ha
Listen, chin up and it will come off soon x

Thank you :) And well done on the loss.

Going to try and eat different things this week to see if that helps (well as different as I get)

I plan on today being a green day but that really depends on whether my bread is still ok when I check the freezer.

Breakfast
The normal (HEA and HEB) plus an apple.

Lunch
Sausage rolls-Made using HEB of bread, HEA of cheese, 2 weight watcher sausages (8syns) and an egg. Never had this before but saw it online and going to give it a go (providing there's bread)

Dinner
Baked potato, veg and spaghetti hoops for tea.

Snack
Apple
Twix (5.5syns)

Total syns: 13.5 syns

Self sabotage, how excellent. Have just had 16 syns of choc biscuits. I have a cheek to moan about the weight not coming off.

Technically no syns tomorrow should balance it out but I'm pi$$ed at myself!

Edit: disgusted with myself today. Am now eating a mugshot. Not hungry just munchy!

You're kicking ass at the gym lady! Once your muscles settle, you're in for some amazing losses I'm sure!x

Sent from my iPhone using MiniMins

I wish they'd settle faster haha!

Green day

Breakfast
Shreddies, milk and banana (HEA1 and HEB1)
Handful of grapes.

Lunch
Spicy tomato mugshot with lettuce, onion and mushroom. An apple.

Dinner
Baked Potato with spaghetti hoops, veg and cheese (HEA2)

Snack

Gym today
Focussed on distance rather than calories/time.
Bike-5km
Treadmill - 2.5km (completed this in 20 minutes though my gradient was only at 1 today, it's usually at 7 but my shins are killing me so need to rest them! I ran 0.8 of a km and I'm pretty sure I could have finished a whole km but sweat was literally pouring out of me...highly unattractive).
1.5km on reclined bike.
5 mins on arm spinny thing (I really need to learn the names)

Weight wise-
Chest presses-one set at 10kg and another at 15 though it nearly KILLED me.
Thigh pressy thing - 20kg-30 reps.
Some arm pully down thing...15kg.
Some calf pushing machine that I'm pretty sure I wasn't working right -15kg at 30 reps.

I am starting to pi$$ myself off MAJORLY. Was only feeling slightly (if even, I genuinely don't even know if I register what hunger is) hungry so decided because I had a HE left that I had to have 2 slices of wholemeal toast. I'm starting to become greedy again and I don't like it, I don't know where my motivation has gone yet I have the cheek to complain when the scales don't do what I want. I need a serious kick up the a$$!

You do look great. Fab legs too ;)
Are you mixing your food up like you said you were going to? Not sure about you but I am finding myself more hungry since I started doing excercise. I know I am not doing a lot but I have noticed this so maybe have extra super free? Drinking more water? I know you know all this but take it back to basics so that your having to think of everything again.
Because you are so close to target it may just take longer but be assured you look fab x

Hello lovely,

I do wish you wouldn't give yourself such a hard time. I know the end is in sight and it gets harder (I'm feeling it too) but you hardly ever have any syns, so when you do, it's not the end of the world. And HEXs are there to be used, so that bit of toast was there to be enjoyed. It's part of the plan. I don't know how you manage without treats - I have something, even if it's just a couple of Mikado every day, because otherwise I know I would fall massively off the wagon. Maybe if you tried that too, just a couple of syns, you'd find it easier not to have bigger slip-ups.

You already look totally incredible! If I looked at those pictures of you in your new dress, I would have said you were an 8 rather than a 10. I know you still can't see it yourself, but seriously, you look HOT!

The last of the weight will come off in its own time. What's important now is that you really focus on a healthy relationship with food so that when you're maintaining, you feel you can enjoy treats etc., without feeling guilty afterwards.

Do I sound like your mum? Lol. xxx

Sarah you are amazing <3 You always know just what to say to make me realise that I am in fact the worlds biggest drama queen and need to pull myself together. The syn thing, I honestly don't mind using them and have been using them for wee treats recently but it was the 4 choc biscuits on Sunday night that tipped me over the edge and made me restrict syns yesterday and Monday. I will be using them the rest of the week :) There are twix's in the cupboard with my name all over it.

Debtin, thanks for looking in on me. I've been trying to mix it up a bit in that I've been doing a few more green days. I probably need to vary my meals more but I was a boring eater before SW and would have ate the same thing 5 nights a week so it is an area I struggle with. I do need to suck it up and just do it. I don't think exercise is really changing how hungry I am, I think it's all in my head tbh!

Anyways onwards and downwards...

EE Day
Breakfast

Shreddies, milk and banana (HEA and B)

Snack
Apple
2 choc digestives (8syns)

Lunch
Pineapple and 1 apple.

Dinner
A bowl of Spaghetti carbonara with chicken, bacon, mushroom, courgette, onion, garlic, pepper, sweetcorn and peas. Made with an egg and quark.

The school I was subbing in today finished at 1pm so they were really good and let me leave as soon as I'd had my marking done rather than keeping me until 3pm (when I'm paid to) so that gave me the chance to go to the gym early.

2.5km in 19minutes, managed to run 1 whole km at one time and then ran for a few other periods during it today.
Reclined Bike-2.5km
Stairmaster-20 floors
Rowing machine 1000m

Weights-Outer thigh=24 reps at 20kg
Inner thigh-24 reps at 20kg
Arm spinner-22 calories (I hate it so chose calories instead of time/distance)
The gym started to get busy so I didn't get to do as much as I'd liked, kids from the local high school filtered in and I couldn't cope with them haha!

Thursday 25th October
EE day

Breakfast
Shreddies, milk and a banana. (HEA and HEB)

Lunch
Leftover chicken and bacon carbonara from yday and an apple.

Dinner
Chilli (it's been staring at me from it's little sandwich bag in the freezer for weeks) and LOTS of sf veg.

Syns= 8. 2 choc digestives. They're fast becoming my new hi fi bars...need to get rid of them asap!

Went for a lovely walk today around my favourite area in the whole world (well of all the places I've been to lol) it's the wee town where I grew up and it's just gorge. Managed to do one tiny sprint and a short jog during the walk but my legs are REALLY sore from the gym so I didn't want to push it but was glad I got out and did something. It's about a 3.5mile walk, not too tasking but nice :)

Hey chick,

Glad I could be of assistance! You're often my voice of motivation and reason too, so it's nice I can return the favour :)

Excellent work on using your syns. Seeing as you're kicking butt at the gym, it's even more important you eat enough so you don't have any more crazy dizzy spells :)

I'm prepping myself for a STS/gain on Monday as I had a few naughty bits at a friend's last night and have a big weekend planned. Trying to be philosophical about the whole thing - I've come a long way already, yadda yadda yadda, but it's still driving me a little bit nuts!

xx

Jen how do You make your carbonara? Sounds appealing tho the thought of quark puts me off x

I was going to try and give you some advice there about don't dwell on it, Sarah but I feel that would be a massive case of the pot and kettle lol! All we can try and do is remember it's a life long thing...you have to live at the same time :) It may be a gain or a sts this week...but it'll be a loss the next! You may even be surprised at weigh in.

Debtin-Fry off chicken, bacon, mushroom, peppers, onion and whatever other veg you want to put in it (I add sweetcorn, peas and courgette) whilst your pasta is boiling.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and add an egg to it (stir the egg before you add it) and add in all your veg. Give it a good stir and then add the quark and some pepper. It's literally that easy and it's REALLY nice. I let my mum taste it and she seemed to think it was a bit sour but I honestly love it!

I still try and take your advice, even when it is a bit hypocritical ;)

On a carbonara related note - I make mine with a couple of egg yolks and either a splash of HEXA milk or a couple of spoons of low fat creme fraiche (synned) - which makes a really yummy sauce. Definitely doesn't feel like diet food! :)

Ooh ill have to give it a go your way!
