heya chick, it does seem it was gonna happen sooner or later. my kids arent angels but that lad does seem to get away with EVERYTHING!! His parents have Peggy-itus resulting in their failure to detect any wrong-doing by their children - even when faced with supporting facts. gerouttamapub!

the builder came round today. He is a thoroughly dishy specimen! It appears we may not be covered by insurance so i am a little upset but will wait and see. we'll have to get it fixed regardless and i can think of worse things than watching him up a ladder for a few days:D (i hope hubby dont read this lol)

i havent had brekky but now demolishing some lunch.

I have to say, I am thrilled with my 2 new stickers. I was so worried I wouldnt get the 2lb off but i did and i couldnt be happier! I am going to aim for 3.5lb this coming week as I would like to be 1.5 stones into my chrimbo challenge and have lost over 30lbs in total. 3.5lb will achieve both those things. Having said that, Freshers week starts from Saturday so I could easily get into booze mode b4 next weigh-in so we shall see! I'll do my best anyways but wont pressure myself too much:D prehaps i will do a couple of SE days to off-set any vodka consumption....

Was nice to spend this afternoon with Sonkie and she stayed for dinner after weigh in so that was cool. quite pleased she enjoyed it as i made the curry up off the top of my head LOL

I doubt the poor builder would be fit for purpose after i'd finished with him spanx :eek: Hey Irish, I totally agree with the khama sentiment... which is why i wasnt trying to be too amused at his misfortune... tis hard tho! ;)

Today has been a loooong day. collected almost all of my text books from town as sonkie wasnt coming over and I am working for the rest of the week. Slowly getting through everything i need to do before starting uni next week. Tis all exciting! Today is the first day in a long time that I havent done a menu but i basically had Lunch: Jacket spud & beans with big salad and colslaw (4 syns). Dinner was spaghetti, prawns, tomatoes, onions, peppers and chilli (3 syns) followed by a finger of twix (5.5 syns) and grapes. Had milk for hex A and no Hex B. total syns: 12.5 :)

Will do a proper menu for tomorrow in the morning.

My eyes are stinging and have gone fuzzy. now have a headache too.... hope it isnt diabetes related... never had sensations like this. Feels like everything is blurred and behind cloth. going to snuggle hubby on sofa and flop in to bed shortly. hopefully eyes will be better when i wake up. I am prone to odd occurences that fix themselves in a totally unexplanable fashion :D

GOOD MORNING MINIS!

Totally ran late this morning. I took my time getting ready then helped the kids but forgot to make their pack lunches!!! SO that took me 10 minutes and made us late... was panicking as sonkie had been calling so i thought something was wrong but was in car and unable to answer the call. Turns out her son is sick at school and as I live next door to it, I coulda picked him up. She sorted someone else to get him so Im sorry about that missus! Woulda happily got him but couldnt call you straight back... I hope he'll be ok and that you can rest after a night up with a teething hannah. xxx

Now that I have lost 2 stones, I have updated my pictures. Still such a long way to go but in 7lbs time, I will be 1/4 of the way to goal. thats half way to halfway :D

So, Im working today and tomorrow. Ive got enough time to swan around the diaries for a few minutes and make my lunch before i go though...

I found yesterday quite difficult when I saw the Pope in Scotland on TV. I know that sounds mental but my aunt died last year... she was a Mother Superior for all of Scotland and North England and lived in Glasgow. 2 years ago she went to Rome and was meant to see the Pope but he changed plans so she missed out and was very disappointed. Now she has gone and he is in Glasgow. I just couldnt help thinking about how happy it would have made her but she never made it. God... im in tears just writing it down. So... I ate about 6 fingers of kitkat and went to bed at 7pm depressed. My dad watched the kids after school until i got home from work and he was watching the Pope when i got back. he seemed upset, we talked about her and I know he'd been thinking about his sister (she was his twin) probably all of the day and it was just so sad. We are not practicing Catholics at all and I dont even believe in all that but just the respect I had for her and her committment to her faith and all the work she did means a lot to me. I know seeing the pope was her dream and the one thing she tried to do after she found she had cancer. It just undone me that she didnt get her wish after she worked for so many years and deserved it so much, Im afraid.

Anyways... Im snapping myself out of it. I am surprised I did a bit of emotional binge eating... Im clearly not as much to grips with things as I thought. I think I should have had this cry yesterday instead of the chocolate :eek: Im just going to write it off as I have only allowed for 10 syns per day which means the kitkats can just come out of the 35 syns I didnt allow for and Im not going to watch the pope if i can help it...

Im having 2 kids sleep over tomorrow night for Aiden and Kirsten and Kev will hijack my friend from college (Dave) for a night out. Aside from screaming kids, Im going to try to take it easy and relaxed. Dad is helping with the garage clearing and runs to the rubbish tip. he is brilliant and i simply adore him.

Ive been organising everything for uni and that is going quite well. Looking forward to Monday... despite feeling really nervous. Ive got 1 person at work who is doing their MA while I do the BA in the same subject and I have just met someone else at work yesterday who is also starting the same BA course so at least i will know 1 person in my classes. Hes a lot younger than me and a bit of a raver but its still someone I can cling to for a bit of familiarity (if he doesnt mind!) I have to keep in mind we will all be new to the course so will mostly not know anyone else.


so... today I do feel a bit flat but I am fine. just going to do a bit of wii fit and clean out a cupboard or two :) I will not.. WILL NOT go near that chocolate. Im not going to buy it in anymore. i stopped buying crisps cos i know i cannot keep away from them but im ok around chocolate -USUALLY... until yesteray so i am just not buying any of anything remotely crappy anymore :confused:

Hi Karen, thanks for sharing your diary with us. I've loved reading it, although its taken me a few goes to get through it all. Sorry you've been a bit upset this week but you seem to have handled it well so well done and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Its surprising what can set you off when thinking of a loved one who is no longer with us, even small things. xxx
 
hello you gawjus lot!

I have just got back from my first morning at uni and will be heading back in to register properly in a couple of hours. Its so exciting! I thought i would throw up when I went in for the welcome talk. I have no clue which of the people I saw today are actually on my course but I will find that out from 3.30pm. I hope there are some mature students like me... I need a gang to join lol.

I have had the weekend off from SW as I have been doing some heavy duty drinking. That means I have eaten whatever i want too. I havent gone too mad but am enjoying the time off. Today has been wobbly too but I will be back on track properly tomorrow. So... I am ready for whatever i gain and will make up for it with a fish week or a success express week from tomorrow. I am enjoying myself and not at all bothered so all is well. Im off to tidy up before I head back to uni.
