Kat1e's Diary - 7 years low carb - still learning!

Morning Katie

:553: WOOHOO Katie that is so brilliant -:0clapper: you have done what you set out to achieve, girl! :party0019:

Really proud of you! And I know you will STS no problem over the summer.

:winner::winner::winner:

Well done Katie, you have made such progress - all the dancing and sticking to the diet have paid handsomely for you - really chuffed!! :D

Thank you all;). Couldn't have done it without you as didnt "believe" in atkins when i started - was just desperate lol:D

Anyhow, celebrating this evening as my new little nephew has just been born - well not so little actually.... 8.5 pounds and 57cm+ long. My SIL ended up with c section as he was obviously just too comfy! My brother being a soppy daddy - so cute:D

Xx

Morning Auntie Katie, well done on both counts love

Morning all:D

Just checking in from the Isle of Wight. Broadband seems to be a bit sporadic so we'll see how it goes! Sun is out and planning to head off to Bembridge for a picnic lunch and then crabbing in the rock pools - DD wants us to eat what we find but we've negotiated that if she catches crabs, we will put them back and then stop off and buy dressed crabs on the way home - I do like to keep life easy;)

Trying hard to get up to 30g carbs a day in my new regime. Seems to be remarkably difficult! I have added half slice of linseed burgen bread to breakfast (5-6) and yesterday had a really lovely large portion of mange tout with dinner - and still only got to 22g. Was planning more berries but too full!

Looking for ideas for nice healthy carbs I can add without overeating or having too many sf treats - suggestions from those on OWL much appreciated:)

Xxx

Morning all:)

Some rain just passing through so a good opportunity to catch up on MM!

Had a lovely day in the sun yesterday - DD caught 2 little crabs so once we had put them back we went off to the bembridge crab shop and treated ourselves to a dressed crab as a starter for dinner - yummy:D

This morning managed to find a local drop in zumba class - so feeling both suitably energetic and virtuous. Needed it to burn up the champagne and wine that we washed the crab and lamb rack down with

Off to catch up - hope all well;)

A few nuts can help bump up the carbs, macadamias are particularly good for you :)

Thanks Bren - snuck a few cashews in but will see if i can find some macadamias
X

You rock Katie well done!!

Natural yogurts good for upping the carbs, not strictly legal but the first thing I introduced, love it with berries & its good for you. x

Thanks all - toms well in hand as been missing them for 6 months:). Yogurt a grand idea - altho rather partial to double cream now;)

Also had my first celeriac chips last night - OMG how could i have been too busy to miss this! Can imagine a lot of "oods" in my shopping from now on:D

When you have upped your carbs even more watch out for the butternut squash chips - even better than celeriac!!!
