AT LAST!!!!!!!
28+6 weeks Well I'm pretty sure my blood pressure came down after yesterday so that's good. My mum wants to take my bp again this week... bless her she does like to make sure herself. Baby is fairly quiet this morning but was doing god knows what at 4 am and it actually hurt whatever it was doing and pressing against! I think it was turning as I think it's now breech with its feet down by my bladder and cervix! How are all you girls doing? TGIF!
Do you have a nurse mother as well? Mines a retired nurse and she insists on poking my ankles to check the swelling! I bet you're feeling a million times better now you've exchanged, can only be good for health and sanity
Ouch, being kicked in the cervix is no fun :/ Naughty baby, hope it turns back around for you soon! xxx
Congrats Kim you must be so happy and relieved ! X
My mums a midwife missy..... she likes to read my notes and do her own assessment as she works at a different hospital. It's very handy as I can ask her my questions but equally I don't get the normal mum sympathy you might expect..... she often just say "yep that's normal" lol. This baby likes my pelvis, bladder and cervix..... i don't think it enjoys being head down at all. It's a monkey!
Wow, that is very handy! Must be brilliant to be able to ask questions whenever you need to. Obviously my mum doesn't understand the midwifery side of things (she was a coronary care nurse) but she likes looking at my notes, checking out blood test results, making sure my swelling's not too bad and she's very good at deciphering doctors handwriting after years of practice lol!
Sounds like you have a naughty one there My boy had a cervix bashing stage but then he went head down and stayed there so I got away lightly tbh. He does kick me in the ribs a lot though which bloody hurts! xxx
haha my mum enjoys a good read of the notes and blood results/scans etc and is very good at deciphering the doctors writing too.
Yes i think i do have a naughty one on board, it's a little monkey and is particularly fond of stuffing as much of itself as it can get inside my pelvis at any point it can! The 2 days following my appointment on Tuesday it was so low in my pelvis i actually convinced myself i'd go to the loo and see a little hand or foot sticking out lol. TMI but it was kicking/punching so low that i could feel it just above my pubic bone....i made mike feel it and he was like "woah when you say low i didn't think you meant that low!" haha.
Even the midwife commented on how it was stuffed in my pelvis...she had trouble finding the heartbeat to start with as she was looking for it much higher.

29+3 weeks
Sorry girls been missing for a few days.....December is always manic in my family.... let alone throwing in moving house at the same time!
Saturday I had a joint birthday party with my sister (she's 40 on the 18th and I'm 30 on the 20th) which was lovely, surpringly baby seemed to sleep through the music and dancing... although did give me a couple of jabs when I thought I could get on the floor to do Oops Upside Your Head....I don't think baby agreed lol. We had a lovely evening though got to bed at about 2am and baby paid me back by having its own party at 7am so no more sleep for me! Needles to say I was pretty tired on Sunday!
Sunday we spent the day packing and a friend collected our sofa as we are having my mums old ones in our new place so we now have no sofa... we didn't really think that bit through lol.
Turns out I have a chest infection so on another course of antibiotics after seeing the doctor yesterday staying home today (in bed due to lack of sofa lol) to get these antibiotics working.
I had my first birth dream Sunday night.....I gave birth on my own, was in a bath but got out and delivered baby sitting on the floor, in what seemed like a pain free labour (yeah right!) But the amazing thing is this is the first dream that baby had a gender...... it was a little girl with dark hair! Made me so excited for when I find out what baby is!
Last night baby was going crazy....I think it's fed up of me coughing. I was laying in bed and Mike had his hand on my tummy and baby kept kicking him. He kept telling it to go to sleep and it would kick really hard as if to say "NO!" Was so funny. Was lovely as it's the first time we've sort of referred to ourselves as mummy and daddy..... felt very strange but made me very emotional
Anyways that's a long enough update from me! How you girls are ok! Xxx
