31+3 Weeks

Well i think i might be developing carpal tunnel in my hands.......it started with just my right hand getting numb/pins and needles at night a couple of months ago and i assumed it was down to how i was laying when i turn and face the center of the bed (not much space as i'm normally snuggled next to Mike so tend to lay on my arm etc). However, last night i was awake on and off with numbness and pins and needles in both hands regardless of how i was sleeping and my hands still feel a bit tingly even now i am up and at work. Fingers crossed it doesn't get much worse as at the moment it's perfectly manageable just a bit off putting when i wake up and my hand feels like it doesn't belong to me!

Baby was kicking up a storm at 5am again this morning....i was laying with my tummy pressed against Mike and even Mike moved away in his sleep thats how crazy it was going! haha.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas eve i cannot wait to finish work and have a week off! xxx

32 weeks
Eeek 32 weeks today! Where has this pregnancy gone?! It feels like only yesterday I was telling Mike he was going to be a daddy and now we have anywhere from 5-10 weeks left..... as long as baby doesn't come ultra early..... I'm definitely not ready for that so baby is getting lots of "make yourself comfy" vibes lol.

My mum did my 31/32 week check yesterday as I couldn't get an appointment at the doctors as clinic day is Thursday so it wasn't running and next week's is full up! Everything was fine with bump and mum managed to get the heartbeat nice and clear....which is a first for any other midwife....I guess it's getting too big to hide now! Lol. My niece (13) was round while my mum did my check and she gave her a little midwifery lesson and let Emma listen to the heartbeat, feel baby kick and she even took my bp....and she got it correct!!! she says she wants to be a midwife or doctor when she is older but lovely for her to have a special glimpse at what pregnancy is.. baby will be her 6th cousin and she's very excited as she's old enough to do lots for it now

We had a lovely Christmas, we started a new tradition of going to visit my dad at the Crematorium on Christmas morning, I shed a few tears while we were there as we all certainly missed him but I know he would have appreciated us all going and was with us in spirit.

Boxing day was relaxed at Mike's parents which made a nice change from the excitement and craziness of 16 ppl and 6 ultra excited children at my mums on Christmas day!

Yesterday we went to the panto (peter pan) which is a family tradition and baby kicked the entire way through!

Today mike is sorting (aka destroying) the flat doing diy.....I think he's the one nesting lol. I'm doing washing and we need to go and get some food in but that's it for us today a nice chilled out day!

Aww sorry to hear that the cold that seems to be doing the rounds in Minis got you. Plenty of sleep, rest and honey and lemon for you if you can manage it.

Happy New year girls! Feeling like poo and have pretty much slept the first day of 2014 away! My head hurts so bad I'm taking paracetamol but it's not really helping so I think my sinuses are blocked. Urgh it had to get me at some point but sods law it does when I'm meant to be back to work tomorrow! Feeling sorry for myself today colds are awful when you can't take much!

32+5 weeks

Well was meant to be back at work today but called in sick. Went to the doctors and she's convinced the chest infection isn't gone so I'm now on another course of antibiotics and a short 3 day course of steroids (she was worried my oxygen intake wasnt enough for both me and baby in the long term) so fingers crossed the steroids work! Don't think I'll be in work tomorrow but hoping I'll be back to work Monday feeling much better!

Have got really bad back pain today I'm convinced baby is kicking/pressing on my back today with whatever position it is in the little monkey.

So today is consisting of laying on the sofa doing nothing but watching tv.

You do right, take abit of time off work, have a pyjama day on the sofa and just relax. Hope your back feels better soon. xx

That sounds awful, you're definitely doing right by staying away from work. Get plenty of rest and relaxation so you can be a healthy mummy xxx

Well the steroids seem to be working so hopefully the antibiotics are as well! I slept better last night than I have in weeks which made a nice change.

I had to call the hospital this morning as my nephew has slap cheek and I need to know if I'm immune. They are going to test some of my booking bloods to see and if I'm not immune I have to have a blood test in 4 weeks. I think there isn't a risk to baby at this stage.... the risk is before 20weeks apparently so very pleased I'm past that stage!

Baby has been wriggling a way in there.... but the has been a definite change in moments as its less kicks and more rolling/bits sticking out so I guess baby is running out of room!

Last day of 32 weeks.. can't believe I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow! Eeep only 4 weeks until I'm "full term".... that's not far away at all!

Hi hun x gosh so sorry to hear you've been so ill Glad to hear the steroids seem to be helping but sounds awful!! Not a great start to the new year, but at least things will only get better

I know, I can't believe you're 33 weeks tomorrow! It's all coming around so quickly isn't it! 34 weeks for me Sunday!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!
