Life begins at 40, maintaining with SW for Life -Green days & some EE/Red photos inc

Yep has Saturday and yesterday off.
I'll be checking your thread for updates

Well maybe the doctor will still have an idea of why you've not been feeling well? Hope so anyway.

Mine is an asthma clinic review...my airflow is naff and I just use an inhaler as and when I feel I need it, which I shall probably get told again is not the idea!! lol. Then I'm off to Eastbourne to meet my friend for lunch and we usually walk a lot as we catch up. We used to work together and knew one another though the same work for many years, probably since the 1970's. We're lunching at a Toby (chain) restaurant for a carvery...I have two vouchers, one for 20% off the bill, the other for a free pudding each! The pud offer is the most lucrative!!

I am at the spa tomorrow with my mum so I have no idea what we will be served for lunch.
I was bought a day pass for me and my mum for my 40th as I knew my husband wouldn't go !!

I have booked in a tension massage as part of what's included and there is a sauna steam room pool gym plus drinks and lunch all included
Neither of us have been to a spa before

Sounds like we both have a nice day off the plan !

Oh you'll enjoy your spa day. I've had a couple with my daughter which were gifts for her. Probably different things on offer to yours but the 1st we had facials...didn't care for the greasy hands run through our hair though! lol. We used the pool and the relaxation beds which were shaped and made from solid (concrete?) and tiled! Sarah loved them because they were heated but my back wasn't having any of it! Last time we had manicures and loved that one and used the gym. I'm afraid I left her standing on the treadmill and exercise bikes! lol. We had a lovely lunch...I remember I had a pea risotto and it was delish! Not a decadent pud in sight though...:sigh:

Well today was wonderful and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My mum had an Indian head massage and I had the tension massage.

Lunch was lovely salmon salad a sandwich some bread and butter plus a dessert (lemon tart ) all in a bento box so in lovely little portions.
We swam steamed relaxed and I tried the hot stone beds which were marvellous.
It was a fantastic birthday treat from my husband's uni mates - they all came to my party.

I am thinking about having regular massages now to help with my stress.

As I saw the dr and there is nothing else physically wrong with me apart from the chronic conditions I already have so no anemia thyroid vit d or b12 problmes. Which means it is stress and anxiety or winter blues or maybe mild depression

He advised more exercise even if I feel atrocious and try to get out daily for a walk and go back in January which I need to do anyway to get my usual medication as it has to be monitored I can't get it on repeat.

So we'll see

Evening Jaffa,

Good news about your blood tests, but if I am honest, I have read in your posts possible signs of depression, having been there myself.

Chronic or life changing illnesses often affect people in this way, as is understandable, but I was never told this, or even when I first seeked help, I was told to go away on my family holiday and when you come back you will feel better! Lol

I don't know or need to know what your chronic illnesses are, but I am here to give you whatever support you need, even if only in the cyber world xxx

Glad you had a lovely day with your mum Jaffa...yes, that's what they're called "Hot beds!"
Glad all your tests came back normal etc... I think sometimes doctors give out general advice and maybe it helps most people but I suspect the other 'thinking, more analytical people find better ways to cope through these times.
I agree with Lynne...cyber friends are here for you too! :grouphugg:

You are both wonderful thank you x

Lynne I'll message you as Janet already knows.

I'm a very private person hence not broadcasting it and I know you weren't asking but sometimes you need to shout out to get the help and support you need

Just replied Jaffa :hug99:

I went out at lunchtime in the car then had a little walk in the rain !

Good for you Jaffa, even in the rain.
I took my 'hat' but after trawling round Morrison's and then Aldi Joseph's didn't suggest a walk...it was cold and was spitting about with rain too. I did walk in the town a while when he was in the optician's so maybe that counts?

In my lunchtime, I drove to Home Bargains and had a good walk around there, then drove to the Co-Operative and walked around there lol, and then drove back to work.

Mind you, I have been standing most of the day shredding!
