Lil miss chatterbox's food diary

I'm ok. got lots on atm. my OH's gone to hospital this morning for a hernia operation, so a bit nervous for that. lots of jobs to do, and not been around much generally, so not had time to catch up :( been a bit off plan with all that's going on, but hope to get back to it soon.

Oh hope OH gets on OK in hospital and you do sound busy. With that much on no wonder SW isn't the first thing on your mind. Glad you're OK just was a bit concerned when you dropped off the minis planet for more than a week. Would you like me to let the tinsellers know or have you already done it.

Pop in to your own diary and post an update when you get a mo. Don't worry about any of the others if you have no time. we just like to know your OK. :bighug:

i haven't had chance yet to let the tinselers know. if you could pass on the message for me that'll be fab. i've got a feeling it'll take a few hours (or days/weeks) to catch up with that thread alone!

Yep it's well busy. Do you have any losses to report or will I just say you're too busy. I'll just let them know when I next report in. Hopefully with my loss this week. :D:D

i haven't weighed in for a couple of weeks, hope to have STS (if i'm lucky!) so no losses to report sadly :(

Thanks for popping by. My kids are still at school - no half term in Scotland as school's finished for summer at the end of the month. Just popped on for a bit of rest. been out half the day already, and mowed the front garden this morning. seem to have got into a clearing, cleaning frenzy now all study is done. Hopefully my OH can come home at the weekend (if he can manage the 25 stairs!), then lots of packing to do for hols/wedding etc.

Oh bummer missed the bit about OH having the hernia op, hope he's feeling better soon hun and you get him home with you shortly, bummer about the 25 stairs though...ouch!!

Oh right didn't realise the holiday system was so different in Scotland, and didn't realise the wedding was coming round so quick...was it yours that's on the 30th June...I mean the one you're going to? I remember someone was having one that day as it would have been my mum in laws 95th Birthday that day ...anyways ...I love having cleaning frenzies, will be having one myself once the shed gets here next week and we can actually get stuff sorted and rooms decorated ready for the new grandbaby later on in the year.
Where and when are you off to for your hols? We're off to Great Yarmouth in August, can't wait not been on hols since had my accident 16 years ago...super excited now lol xxx:hug99:xxx

Yes, it's my sister-in-laws wedding on the 30th - and it's coming round far too quick! lol, we're all off to Minehead Butlins for the 25th June (our only family tradition), then to Oxford for the wedding, then Bracknell to see old friends on 1st July, then finally home. By then i think I'll be shattered (and out of clothes!) Don't think I've ever been to Great Yarmouth, but have heard it's nice there. Hope you enjoy your hols in August! Sounds like it's about time you had one.

We went to Butlins in Minehead one New Years Eve when Kelly was 14, so some 19 years ago, the entertainment was amazing, shame the accomodation wasn't as good....but I have heard they have had major refurbs, so hopefully it won't be as awful as it was when we were there.

We too have traditions, Great Yarmouth was ours till I had the accident, we went there every year for about 19 years and loved it, if we went with the kids we stayed at Summerfields Holiday Park (same place we are staying at in August, hope it's as good as it always was) or if we went on our own or with our friends we stayed in the same B&B ...we loved it, such a lovely place and funnily enough both our daughters (even though Kirsty was only 6 last time we went there as a family) love going there and if they go away fro weekends that's where they usually end up or like Kirsty did last year, went there with her other half and her best friend and her other half ...such good memories.
I am sure the weddign will go fine and you'll look lovely hunni and you'll all have a fabulous time, it's exciting isn't it, having a break always is no matter where you go. :hug99: xxx

I can gladly say the accomodation has greatly improved. The first time I went to butlins was 17 years ago (as a child), and the accomodation was really bad, but we have been going every year since 2001, and it's so much better now. and a LOT better than Skegness. I met my OH at Butlins in 2001, which is probably why it became a tradition, and the kids love it! Plus you can't get much further away from south-east scotland than to go to south-west england!

Good to see you back on your diary. HopeOH gets home soon. Must be driving you insane. :D

well....yes and no. i was missing him a lot at first, but now i'm enjoying taking over the double bed and being able to do what i want when i want, and having my own pick of tv. on the other hand, he's better with the kids than i am, and i miss his company. maybe i go into a cleaning frenzy out of boredom/loneliness? but hey ho, it needs doing anyways. going to steam clean the kitchen floor today, once i've cleaned the fridge.

Hello lovely, hope DH is home and all is well and he is making a good recovery xx

How are you lovely...keeping well? Still being a domestic goddess are we :giggle:...you can come do mine if you like lol xxx

Speak soon hun, have a good evening :hug99: xxx

Well, my OH got home Sunday :D, and can now climb stairs without crutches, but has gone away again this morning to somerset with his mum to do a training course, and won't be back home til Monday night. i guess i'll just have to get used to the peace & quiet :giggle: so now i just have to worry about my stressful weekend. it's civic week, and my son is in the parade on Sunday. just need a lift to get me there now... and somehow to pick up his kilt. this is where i wish i could drive! it's also my children's school sports day, and hey ho, i can't go. having said that, even if i had a lift, there would be no-where to park the car cos the entire village parking is fenced of for the olympic torch! too much on today at the school. i'm stressed, and i'm not even going!
domestic goddess wise...well, I'm just trying to get things back to normal today, after a few days of hecticness (if that's even a word!) did get my OH to sort through is clothes though, and having got rid of about 2/3rds of them, there might actually be room for my clothes again!:D

also thinking once i'm back from my hols at beginning of July, I might change my WI day to a Friday, cos it's more convenient than a Sunday, and I'm more likely to actually be home!
