So here goes, her's my step by step diary for Day 1 of my 48 hour challenge.
Food eaten throughout Day 1
Banana, lettuce, onion, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, radish, pepper, satsuma, chilli, pineapple
7.30 Wake up a little later than normal as hubby is working away so no need to get up with him. Not the best start to the day as I've woken up with a headache, hopefully it wont last too long.
7.45 Made a nice big mug of green tea and jasmine.
8.50 Just walked Amy down to her school taxi, it's a 10 min walk each way so a nice chance to wake up in the morning! Now back with another mug of green tea and jasmin.
9.05 I'm feeling quite energetic so will do some of my daily exercises now quickly before I start work. Did 20 sit ups and 50 tummy crunches. Glad I got some done now as I may not have the energy later!
9.15 Time to start work, I've got quite a busy day today so hopefully if I crack on with it I wont think about food too much.
10.30 Grabbed a quick glass of water and a banana, not really feeling hungry yet but think I should eat something. Hopefully that should see me through till lunch.
12.20 20 sit ups and 20 tummy crunches before lunch.
12.30 Lunch time! I'm not really hungry and I hate eating salad without mayo or salad cream on it but today has to be different! So I made a big salad last night in preparation for today, so it's ready just to pick out the fridge and eat.
12.50 Just finished my salad, it wasn't too bad as the beetroot was nice and juicy so it supplemented the lack of dressing. OMG I just realised how miserable lettuce is on it's own, so tasteless. Really fancy a cup of tea now but resisted and had another glass of water. Right best get back to work. Hopefully I wont crave food for a while now.
15.20 Work done for the day, it's been a busy one today but atleast being busy has made the day go quickly and I've not thought about food too much.
15.30 Just done a bit more exercise another 30 sit ups and 30 tummy crunches. Now I've got 10 mins until Amy gets home so I'm having a satsuma and a mug of hot lemon water, I'm drinking it holding my nose as I hate it so much but I know I should drink it because it's good for fat burning.
16.00 I was going to take Amy out on her bike but she ran straight in from school and informed me that she was going to the park, so no walk for me. Probably a good thing because I've drank so much water, green tea and lemon water today that I keep needing the loo. So instead I am just sitting having a mooch around for an hour before I start tea.
17.00 I've just turned the tv on and every where I look it's about food, argh that's so unfair!! I should really make a start on dinner but I'm really not feeling dry veggis stir fried in a bit of water. It's funny how all the time I've been doing SW I've not really craved junk food but now doing the detox I'm really craving anything naughty...yum nice big fat burger, yum yum!!
17.30 I'm so cold, a nice cuppa tea would be lovely now to warm me up but will have another hot lemon tea instead. I'm not really sure how many lemon waters I should have a day, I suppose the more the better. Still not started making dinner, both kids are out and I'm not hungry so will give it a while longer.
18.30 Ok so I suppose I should get off my backside and make dinner. Yum yum I'm having dry fried onions, mushrooms, peppers and radish with a bit of chilli fried in a bit of water so it doesn't burn. Wow doesn't that sound exciting!!
19.00 Just had my dinner, it wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be, the chilli definately helped.
19.15 I am so bored of drinking green tea, water and lemon water that I am treating myself to a glass of orange juice.
20.00 Amy wanted some pineapple so I thought it would be rude not to join her. We polished off the lot so now I'm suitably stuffed and don't think I'll be eating again tonight.
20.10 Just watching Don't tell the bride and then I'm off to bed, so no more eating for me.
Yippee I did it, Day 1 of the 48 hour detox is complete!!
So in summary my day hasn't been too bad. I've not been hungry at all but if you put a big fat burger infront of me I would have committed murder to get my hands on it! Drink wise it's been harder, I really can't stomach the lemon water but I had a few mugs worth and if it burns the fat then it will be worth it. I would give anything for a nice cup of tea but that will have to wait till Thursday morning! I managed to do my exercise challenge as well. I did 70 sit ups and 100 tummy crunches so really pleased with that. Roll on Day 2 I say!!
