LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

Hello again. Ive just eaten 3 dishes of soup with 3 slices of bread. It was lovely. :)

Glad u enjoyed ur soup - isn't SW a good diet and soup is so feeling and full of suprefree food so good for the weight loss - a winning combination!!

Supper was 5 snack a jacks. 3 with laughing cow,1 with marmite and 1 plain. Raspberries with mullerlight yoghurt. I hope everyone has had a good day. :)

Well done Mo - another fully on plan day - tasty too!!

Hello. How did group go? Did you win the raffle? :)

Caught up with Mo and Doreen's news - hope all is well with CJ and LJ.

Miraculously, I lost a pound at class today - so chuffed to bits - but I've celebrated with eating all sorts of naughty stuff so won't list my scoff today in case it leads u into temptation LOL!!

I WILL be back on plan 2moro (I may have to keep reading this to remind me)

Well done upndown on your loss. But not on the extra eating. Of course I have never done that on a weigh day. LOL
I wish.

Got a phone call from my son in Haverhill. They needed some help with taking children to school and back. Problem has arisen. I was visiting my brother Richard having a nice sarni when I got the phone call.. So finished that and my coffee and packed for my 60mile journey. Not sure at this stage how long for.

Food for yesterday. Bit of a scratch day. Not even sure about weighing this week.

hexa - milk hexb 2 bread
B: spaghetti & eggs on 3 toast (2.5)
L: salmon & cucumber sarni with with big brother 2 800g bread (10)
D: 3 chicken thighs, pasta, cheese (at haverhill)

Syns 17.1/2...toast 2.5.....bread 10.......cheese ? 5 Tried not to have too much, could not find scales.

Hello Everyone. Im back from my travels. I have had 4 days completely off diet which is my first break since January. I have eaten all sorts. I think it will be hard going back on plan tomorrow but needs must and I will just have to get on with it. The weather has been really kind to us and we have really enjoyed our days away. In fact we coud happily have stayed a few days longer but my OH has work tomorrow. So its back to plan and swimming tomorrow. I hope everyone is fine. Doreen you sound as though you were having fun with the children. Upndown good luck for group tomorrow. Mo :)

Welcome back Mo. Glad you enjoyed it, or have I already posted this? Not keeping up to well at present.
As I said above I am back at Haverhill with the children and the dog. Food is hit & miss, but will take the dog for a couple of her short walks.

Hello. How did group go? Did you win the raffle? :)

Group went well - I was so surprised to lose a pound - it was interesting to hear what ppl eat and what they struggle with. Also bought some salted caramel Hi Fi bars which are divine!!

I think it is harder to follow the plan when we're away from home and out of our routine - I kid myself I'm in a parallel universe or something - where what I overeat when I'm away will disappear during the journey home!! Oh dear I'm revealing too much of my flaky mind and my wonky attitude to dieting!!

Hello. Well I had to get weighed at the Doctors today and if you remember I doubted my weight there last time and guess what.............. yep according to the scales I had put 3 lbs on in the month! Never mind. I will get straight eventually. :)

I totally agree with that Upndown. My only saving grace was that my son and DIL came home in the evenings which stopped me eating all evening. I was so tired that I was falling asleep on the sofa. I think that I must have the same flaky mind.
May be visiting my sister for a few days in Norfolk. Not definitely arranged yet but she supplies meals that are not too big.

Weigh tomorrow, away maybe afternoon or Sat morning. Am a bit tired from the last couple of days. My emotions have been shredded somewhat to do with something happening in sons little family. Always helps to be able to mention it a bit tho`. Thanks guys for being there even if I can`t say what it is.

Anyway, my food for yesterday.

I can totally relate to ur post Doreen - we're so tied up with our children's lives and feelings however old they are aren't we - I have 3 grown up sons and one travels abroad a lot with his job (lost a finger in France a few years ago!), one has married a lovely girl a little older than him who was divorced with 2 children and now have one together - so that can cause its own probs, then my youngest has taken a VERY long time to settle down and find his way in life - and I feel as if I've lived every moment of their ups and downs - my husband often tells me that I can't make things right for everyone!!

But you've managed a good day there - within syns and healthy food even tho' ur away and under stress - take care Doreenx

Oh no Mo - what a flipping pain - are u keeping 2 sets of records for ur weight - that wd have sent me to the nicest coffee shop in town for a (couple) of sticky creamy cakes and a fancy coffee!! I definitely cdn't have taken that as calmly as u - a surprise that the doctor's scales are as wonky as mine!!

Well I didn't post my food yesterday as I was otherwise engaged! Poppy's school rang to say she was in lot of pain with her ear - so I picked her up (her Dad started a new job yest and her Mum's a teacher so difficult to leave the school) I took her straight to the GP and he said that last week's inflamed ear had become infected - she is poorly and I think she's tired with all these problems - so I couldn't move from her side - she wanted to stay here too - and my hubby had to go to Ireland yesterday with work - so I'm shattered

She's lovely company but can't amuse herself when she's ill poor thing - didn't have much of an appetite either so I was tempting her with bits thro the day - toture - but food went ok - she's still here and today is already higher on syns than normal!!

Yesterday went like this:

B: oats HEB, berries, fat free fromage frais

L: jacket potato, cheese HEA, salad

T: chicken & beef leftovers with salad

Snacks: HiFi bar - salted caramel - HEB Mmmmm..., oatcake 2 syns, choc spread 4 syns, sweet chilli sauce 0.5 syn = 6.5 syns

Upndown - It is nice to know that someone understands how we are with our children no matter how old they are. I hope we are here for them for a long time to come. Sorry to hear about Poppy. Hope her ear improves soon. How hard is it not to pick at what we are encouraging them to eat. xxx

Yesterdays food looks ok eh?

Hello Everyone. Well Ive had 2 slices of toast and a banana. I swam equivalent of 35 lengths this morning. I have a pan of butternut squash and sweet potato soup cooking. Doreen. I hope the stress has gone. It really is a terrible feeling. Take care Mo :)

Hello again. Ive just eaten 3 dishes of soup with 3 slices of bread. It was lovely. :)

Thanks for your concern over my stress. I think this one is going to take sometime to settle. Trying to keep it out of my head.

Sorry Bubble - those posts shd have had a health warning - only for the eyes of those with children past 25!!

Of course, ur children will be absolute angels and when they're older they'll have such good salaries that u and ur hubby will be kept in luxury & waited on hand and foot for the rest of ur lives.

Of course all children carry their parents genes, so all the above depends on what u were both like in ur teen years - my hubby and I must have been a naughty pair LOL!!

Haha i have no chance then. X
