LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

Hello Everybody. What a lot seems to be happening. I hope Poppy will be feeling better soon. It must be very painful. Doreen you take care- thinking of you.
I thought as children got older I would feel less intensly about their lives. How wrong I was! lol. If anything it is even harder. lol:)
 
Hello. I swam the 40 equivalent lengths this morning.
Breakfast- 2 toast. Lunch- 2 bananas, 4 snakajacks with 2 laughing cow triangles. Tea- chilli con carne with vegetable rice followed by a mullerlight. Supper- 2 snack a jacks with 1 laughing cow triangle. :)
 
Good day Mo.
I am off to see my sister Janet in Norfolk later today. It takes a couple of hours so I will probably stop for lunch on the way. Driving makes me extremely tired. We are going out to lunch for Janets birthday with another sister & hubby. Something to look forward to. Don`t know if my sister as wi-fi for my computer to work. Anyway I will keep a note of my eatings and report on my return, probably Monday afternoon.

Will be getting weighed this morning, will let you know how I get on before I go.

PS my youngest child is 43 and he is the one I am worrying about, Yes 43
 
Hi - glad ur off for the weekend - I think it's always safer to stop for a break - hope u have a good time.

With Mums and worrying - at age 3, 13, 23, 33, 43 and beyond I think we all worry to some extent about our children - one of my friends told me she was giving a lift to an elderly friend one day and her friend was saying she was worried about the food her daughter in law was giving to her son (he was 72 at the time!!)

They say parenting is for life and it's true!!

Thx Mo - yes poor thing is worn out - she slept past 10 o'clock this morning - not like her.

Yes I too imagined at 18 they'd be mature enough to lead independent lives - but ..........

Hope all is well with u all - here's yesterday's food:

B: oats HEB, berries and fat free fromage frais

L: leftover beef (lasting forever!) & huge salad with horseradish dip mixed with fromage frais & white vinegar and SW coleslaw
SW brownie (3 syns) choc spread (4 syns) toffee mullerlight - few nuts HEB

T: last of the beef with broccoli, cauli, cabbage and carrots - gravy
SW brownie (3 syns) banana, tbsp golden syrup (1 syn) toffee mullerlight mixed with quark & vanilla and almond extract

TOTAL SYNS = 11
 
Hello. Im glad Poppy slept so well. Sleep is a chance for the body to heal. I hope she has had a good day and is feeling better. Im weighing myself each day now on my scales so my weight next week should be accurate-in theory. lol. Doreen I hope your journey went well.

Hello Bubbles, Doreen, CJ, LJ and Mo (in alphabetical order!) and anyone else who reads this thread - I hope everyone's had a day that they're happy with - here's my food:

B: frylighted egg and mushrooms, brown sauce 1 syn

L: Wasn't hungry so just had a banana, fat free Greek yog sprinkled with a tsp of low fat drink choc 1 syn

T: SW spag bol with lots of veg plus SW brownie 1.5 syns with half a tbsp. choc spread 2 syns

Treat: a measure of marrow rum with diet pepsi!! Phil found a bottle of our home-made marrow rum at the back of a cupboard today - we made about over a year ago. I grew a big marrow but no-one we know likes it so thought we'd give it a try!) It tastes sweet with a hint of marrow or courgette but no idea how many syns? so I'll class it as a shot of rum - 4 syns??

Total syns = 9.5

Another good SW day with ur food and body magic! Ur very consistent Mo - wish I could be the same - my sign in name suits me very well I'm afraid. Thx for ur kind thoughts on Poppy - she still seems tired but has improved today - eating like a horse and no ear-ache - as u say sleeps a healer.

I hope too that ur journey went well Doreen and that going out will take ur mind off family things.

Oooh didn't mention ur scales issue - a good idea for u to weigh daily - u seem much calmer about it than me - the not knowing which set of scales was accurate would drive me to distraction!!

I weigh myself too often and move the scales around until I find the lowest weight (sad me!)
 
Hello Upndown. Glad Poppy is feeling better. I try to be consistent but I do find it hard at times. My OH loves sweet things, chocolate etc. So I frequently buy him fresh cream cakes and bars of chocolate but then could join in when he is eating them. Very tempting but have to resist. :)

Oooh that is tough - I'd be using my syns on those yummy things - well done u - u must have l lots of willpower and tons more than me!!
 
Hello All. Well I did my 40 equivalent lengths today swimming and then had a focused 30 minute walk. Food today- 1 slice of toast. Lunch- a crab sandwich. Tea-n2 quorn sausages with peas, mashed potaroes and gravy. 1 mullerlight yoghurt.

Well u've had a great day Mo!! Double body magic too - we planned to go for walk but it started to rain and became very windy so we went to the pub instead!! Here's my food:

B: boiled egg and watermelon

No lunch

Early tea at pub: Crispy beef salad with sweet chilli sauce no idea how to syn?! washed down with 2 Brandies 8 syns and Diet Cokes

Hi - hope Mo has been her consistent energetic self! That Doreen's break has blown some cobwebs away! And CJ and LJ are well and have had a good weekend

T: out celebrating friend's 50th birthday - will try to choose sensibly - I'm driving so no drinkie pooss!

UPDATE AFTER MEAL OUT

Thought the Freddo wd do for my dessert at the restaurant but got tempted by the dessert - so didn't eat the Freddo!!

Ate a small piece of bread with scraping of butter whilst everyone else had delicious starters!

Had monkfish and prawn kebab & veg as it seemed to be the lowest syn meal on the menu - declined the chips and potatoes!

The dessert was a selection of coffee & choc mini desserts Mmmm...

No idea how to syn tonight's food - but reckon I have enough syns left to cover the meal out - will soon find out at Tuesday WI!!

No lunch cos we weren't going to have some b4 our walk but the rain came so ended up shopping for a few bits - then went to pub for late lunch/early tea!! Hope ur having a good day - I'm off out shortly - for a meal!!
