LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

Well I've had a strange day - I expected a poor loss after sneaky weighs in the week - yet I lost 2.2lbs - so feel better after my sts last week. I hope CJ is ok with her WI and Snoopy is on the mend? Also Mo has moved out and sale has gone thro? Doreen I hope ur doing ok on plan and coping with the dog? Thinking of LJ too - bet ur looking forward to ur Easter break/trip?

I went for a bone scan this morning - I was diagnosed with osteopenia (the precursor to osteoporosis) 3 years ago and have been on calcium & vitamin D tablets since then but the scan showed that my bone density has further reduced - my mother and grandmother were badly affected with osteoporosis. But the real was shock was that the doctor mentioned that a letter from my GP said that I'd been taking another drug to help the bone d for 3 years - but I haven't even had a prescription for it - so that's a blow - will have to sort that.

Here's my food inc WI treats:

B: bacon, egg, bread HEB, tomato sauce 1 syn? orange

T: bacon, cheese HEA, onion and tomato on toast (cheating by counting bread as HEA!)
3 SW brownies 2 syns + HEB topped with nutella 7 syns with toffee yog, quark mixed with gelatine and a pear

Freddi in multipack 4.5 syns (compared with 5 when sold singly!!) marshmallow 2 syns?

Total syns = 16.5

Hope I get back on plan in the morning!! Hubby in Ireland on biz - coming home tonight and is looking forward to the long weekend and wants to eat out a couple of times :eek:

Drinks: fruit teas, water = 2.05L, diet pepsi -

Why are the multipack freddos less syns? Ive always bought the multipack ones oooh that 1/2 a syn makes a difference!!

Sorry Upndown I missed your long post too. Sorry to hear about the bone scan. I hope you will be able to get into see te doctor soon to sort out the tablets you will need to take. Your weekend sounds like good fun. Enjoy.

Thx Bubble - just realised I've lost 2 stone now. No need to be worried - I've been helping with my granddaughter as she's been ill and may have to have an op and today had to have a bone scan - and had a day out after - so not been on Minis much today!!

The Freddos in the multipack must be half a syn smaller but I can't tell - but as u say a half syn makes a difference!!
 
Hello Everyone. I hope you have had a good day. Thank you Upndown. Well everything is now moved and fingers crossed the deal will be completed tomorrow. My food today has been a bit odd again lol. Breakfast- oat so simple porridge pot. Lunch- we stopped at a garden centre which had some lovely pies and homemade cakes on menu- I had a ham salad which meant I actually ate- cooked ham, lettuce and raw onion!!!!!! dinner- fish in butter sauce, rice with corn and baked beans. supper- 4 cheese snack a jacks- 2 had marmite and 2 laughing cow.

Glad you have moved everything. Terrible stress for you. Hope all goes ok.
 
Upndown, sorry to hear about your bone scan. Well done on your weight loss this week too. I know you were not happy last week but you stuck to your guns, Great.

I did not post yesterday, I just kept eating sandwiches then ate some choc and marshmallows. Why Why??? I knew I was to get weighed today and with a bit of water in legs got no chance now of a loss and meeting the family this weekend Fri to Sunday. On the menu for Sat night is fish and chips. Oh dear.

Going to get weighed shortly, would half and hour delay make any difference one wonders :rolleyes: Actually weighin going on longer as no club tomorrow so two together. No talk this week because of the double class.

Going now, bet the queue will be long. Let you know later.
 
Put on 1.1/2. and a bad weekend coming up. I have just made those corned beef pies. Gonna cook them later so I won`t have to smell them too soon,

Well never mind Doreen - we all have gains - usually when we're having fun and life wd be miserable without those times wdn't it??!! I'm sure u'll get back on plan as soon as u can.

Like u we're having a sociable weekend - lots of wicked things will be trying to get me to eat them and I'm bound to give in!! Enjoy ur Easter.

Mo they will be fantastic, shame I can`t send you some. They are in the oven now. I have been to M&S and bought some large size strawberry trifles half price and some hot x buns also half price. I have asked my neighbour to look after them until tomorrow. :)

Oh what a relief Mo - u must be delighted - ur probably tired out with all the travelling and worry - but no more eh?? Enjoy ur weekend but go easy on the Easter eggs lol!!

Here's my food today - I've been getting a bit bored with my food so looked up some recipes and had a more interesting day today and feel stuffed! Hope u've enjoyed ur day:

B: pineapple and yog

L: salmon salad with half a tsp sweet chilli sauce 0.5 syn cheese HEA and bread HEB - light mayo 1 syn mixed with from frais and vinegar and garlic powder made a nice dressing

T: Petit pois with mint soup (with the thawed bag from freezer disaster!) SW double bacon burger, with 2 slices Dairylea Light HEA, 30g bread having this as a cheat HEA, 3 ozs McCain Rustic chips 1 syn
SW choc brownie 1.5 syns + HEB with quark and toffee yog with Nutella 2 syns with from frais

Total syns = 6 or 12 if u don't agree with me having bread as a HEA!
Drinks - fruit tea and water - 1.95L

I saw that burger in the fakeaway book, it it quite a good book. Have spent some time dividing recipies for 2 people.

Don't start me on 'hiding' choc - on the day I bought children's Easter eggs - I put them in hubby's car boot - just hope they're not 'all shook up' like in the Elvis song - also that this hot weather hasn't melted them lol!!

I haven't got the Fakeaway book - I just googled the burger recipe cos someone mentioned it on Minis - they were lovely & can recommend.

Only thing was that my freezer needed to be repaired urgently & I had to defrost it - had a fair bit in there - gave half to the family & cooked the mince with onion and stored it in fridge for a day - then chose that recipe but it called for raw mince & onions to be mixed with raw egg then fried - so mine didn't really bind and were a bit crumbly.
 
Hi hope everyone's had good weather and enjoyed the day - we went cycling for 90 mins today round a lake in the hills - it was our first outing with the bikes this year & I'm not a proficient cyclist & was very wobbly - thank goodness we only use traffic free routes!! Will be aching for sure in the morning.

We had lunch and tea out but stuck as close to plan as poss (didn't want to 'spoil' the effect of the exercise I think!)

B: bacon, egg & tomatoes then an apple to make up the 2/3 (for Success Express)

L: chilli and baked potato - at the lake café - hope the chilli was syn free but it probably wasn't very lean mince!

Snack: banana and an apple again for 2/3 for Succ Exp

T: lamb steak, broccoli, mange tout, new potatoes (no butter), red wine jus (5 syns?)

Snack: SW brownie 1.5 syns + HEB with banana, toffee yog, quark and gelatine

Water - not very much today - hard to measure while I was out - about half a litre??

Total syns = approx 6.5 + whatever's in full fat mince (in chilli)

Thursday- 2 toast. Prawn sandwich. Hotpot made with beef . Friday- Oats so simple made with water. chicken breast with spicy tomato jacket potato lettuce with vinegar. 2 ham and mustard sandwiches, melon, blackberries with mullerlight. supper- 3 snackajacks with marmite.
I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and the sunshine. Mo :)

Nice food Mo - making me feel hungry now - I've had my rations and 14 syns today - whoops - enjoyed every morsel so going to the shed now to sow some more seeds - if only I could grow chocolate bars, cake and ..........

Here's my food for today - just inside the legal limit with 14 syns!!

B: boiled egg with stick of celery to comply with Succ Express!

L: salmon salad with tsp chilli sauce (half a syn) from frais with vinegar half tsp mayo (half syn?) and a pear

Snack: banana and quark/yog mix

T: at the pub - steak, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, vodka (4 syns) and slimline tonic, diet coke
Dessert at home - 2 warm SW brownies (2 HEBs and 3 syns) sandwiched tog with tbsp Nutella (4 syns) with toffee yog, mixed with vanilla essence, quark and gelatine - drizzled with tbsp golden syrup (2 syns) - divine!!

Drinks: 1.95L water in fruit tea and water

Exercise - 3 hours hard slog in clearing shed and tidying garden!!

Thinking of going back to SW class on Tuesday - to lose the last 11lbs - feel I need some help and it'd be good discipline to go to class once a month if/when I get to target.
