LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

Food ended up being really bad after weigh in. I do this sometimes on the day but not usually any longer.

I did have McDonalds, hamburger and chips which is only 12.1/2 but really bad at home. Was too tired to cook and when I weighed myself Monday my scales showed an increase of 6lbs. Sure some of that was water which I sometimes get when eating rubbish.
Up until then Upndown it had been fine but took a couple of pills Monday anyway. This morning scales not so bad. Showing about 4.
As for the dog, she is lovely but does not like being left in my house. Not tried her since they moved away but it was only for a couple of days. What she does Upndown is dig at the carpet and scatches the door quite badly.
When they first moved she dug quite a bit of the plasterboard way. Ok at home now tho`.

She is a poorly dog. She has a tumour in her shoulder which pulls the tendons in her right front leg so she cannot put her foot down. It also pulls on her eye. She has had chemo and painkillers but the vet had said it was too late to take it out. (they were told by a previous vet she had arthritis. )
The vet did not expect her to last long after Xmas but she still here, as long as her quality of life is ok they will carry on with medication. She is lovely. Breed is a Hungarian Vizlar (not right spelling tho`)

Hello Doreen. It sounds like it is water retention doesnt it? You sound as though you do such a lot to really take care of your poor dog who has so many difficulties. Vets are amazing now arent they. I hope everything is going well for you. Mo

Good luck to any weighers this week. xxx

Edit - syns not quite so bad as hexa cheese is 40g

I had a call from the company yesterday (in England I might add) they said that they have cancelled the cheque because it has not been cashed, ...............and I should receive another no later than Thursday even tho` they have to quote 7-10 days. We will see.

That PPI has a lot to answer for. This particular one was the AA,..ooh post, hang on...nah rubbish.
carrying on, I also had an Evans card and they are saying I knew about it so will not refund. Of course I did not so the company dealing with my claims are going back to them.

As for self employed not being eligible that is really bad.

Some companies just try and wriggle out of their commitments don't they - crooks really!!

Sorry I didn't explain my hubby's situation v well - he's not eligible for the PP Insurance not the compensation.

The reason is that many self employed ppl don't have a guaranteed salary each month - so if he was lazy or dishonest - he could choose not to work and be claiming the PPI - so you can see why they have that rule!!

Hope yours come thro' soon!!

I'm the same on WI Doreen - I try to have a few treats like SW brownies and make more effort with SW meals that day - but like you - once I start I carry on and a few WI days ago I had 38 syns at least

I'm sure a lot of that will be water - I can put on up to 4lbs but lose that over a few days - so fingers crossed for u on Thurs - and u've now researched how to release the water - I'm sure ur onto it!!

The poor dog - as Mo said - vets works miracles these days it seems to me.

Snoopy - CJ's young cat's been poorly too - hope vet changed her meds.

The dog - Nancy - belongs to my son. He was down Thursday night then went straight to work Sat. It means he could spend a bit longer with the children if I kept dog till Sunday. I don`t mind, I am a good Nanny - so they tell me.

I only look for mild water when weight is going up. Maybe I should keep a better eye on it. I sometimes think I am just tired so then sit or sleep. I MUST KEEP A BETTER EYE ON SUGARS AND WATER. I will I will.....

Evening Linda :p, hope your well hun. Just wanted to wish you luck ahead of tomorrow's weigh in. I hope after 5 days on the Soup Challenge, you have a super duper loss ! :D Got my fingers crossed for you ! Looking forward to your post on the Soup Challenge thread :).

Kay xx

Hi Mo - sorry to hear that u feel the sale will fall thro' - I hope it doesn't - I think I've told u that I recently dealt with my late mother's house - and had all sorts of probs - the property was on the market for about 18 months and when we accepted an offer the probs continued & I lived in dread that the sale wd fail - but it didn't - and I hope that happens to u - take care - it's a worrying timex

I'm the same Doreen - to me it seems like hard work to drink lots of water - how sad am I?

Hope your sale goes through ok Mo. It must be a very frustrating experience buying & selling a house.

I have had a busy day today. Decided to sort out the cupboard under the stairs looking for some cross stitch magazines. Found them and the cupboard is now tidy. Also sorted out the drawer and big box for the kids. Paints, playdoh, colouring pens & pencils games etc. oh don`t forget the hama beads. All nicely sorted for the next time.
I now have a stiff neck for some reason, and the water is building up in my legs. If it is still there in the morning I will give doc a ring before I go shopping to get the stuff for the pies I have been asked to make for the weekend.

Food today. - a pretty good day.
B: 1/2 tin spaghetti, 2 eggs 2 toast

Supper - wm roll (6) bacon, tom & browb sauce (1)

Well I've had a strange day - I expected a poor loss after sneaky weighs in the week - yet I lost 2.2lbs - so feel better after my sts last week. I hope CJ is ok with her WI and Snoopy is on the mend? Also Mo has moved out and sale has gone thro? Doreen I hope ur doing ok on plan and coping with the dog? Thinking of LJ too - bet ur looking forward to ur Easter break/trip?

I went for a bone scan this morning - I was diagnosed with osteopenia (the precursor to osteoporosis) 3 years ago and have been on calcium & vitamin D tablets since then but the scan showed that my bone density has further reduced - my mother and grandmother were badly affected with osteoporosis. But the real was shock was that the doctor mentioned that a letter from my GP said that I'd been taking another drug to help the bone d for 3 years - but I haven't even had a prescription for it - so that's a blow - will have to sort that.

Here's my food inc WI treats:

B: bacon, egg, bread HEB, tomato sauce 1 syn? orange

T: bacon, cheese HEA, onion and tomato on toast (cheating by counting bread as HEA!)
3 SW brownies 2 syns + HEB topped with nutella 7 syns with toffee yog, quark mixed with gelatine and a pear

Exercise 20 mins walk

Drinks: fruit teas, water = 2.05L, diet pepsi -
