LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

oh and I managed not to snack last night.

Well done Mo.

My tooth/gum is pretty painful Don`t reckon we will be able to save it. Was up at 6.30 to take more pain killers.l The antibiotics make me feel a little strange for a bout an hour or two. I get used to that, happens all the time, there are so many I cannot take.

It has eased up somewhat so I am going to take a walk to the shop and post 4 birthday cards!
It is quite a nice day so only cardi needed.

Have a good day all. xx

Hello Everybody. no swimming today as I had an upset tummy. I tried weighing myself today and the closest I can get t.o the doctors 11st 2lb is 11st 4.5 so I will go with that but I know i havent put on 2.5 lbs so Im not going to worry.
Food today- 2 toast. crab sandwich. dinner- quorn peppered steak, mashed potato spring greens and gravy. melon.
Upndown- my son had tonsils and adenoids removed at6 as he was so frequently very poorly. It was remarkable how healthy he was afterwards.
Doreen- sorry to hear about the tooth. There is nothing worse than toothache

Maybe the 6lb won't disappear this week but u'll be saying goodbye to it v soon! I find what goes on fast disappears pretty quickly - is it the same with u??

Wonder if u could think of it as the result of ur lovely family time at Easter?x

I agree with Upndown, it comes off quicker the 2nd time round. I find my problem is usually lots of water. So that comes off pretty quick when you start eating on plan again.

A good day Mo - a nuisance about the scales - ur taking it well - it wd drive me mad.

Thx for reassurance on the op -I too had tonsils out at 5 and one of my sons had the op at 6 - it's the hearing which is the main concern for Poppy.

Hi - lovely to hear from you and say hello to LJ - sounds as if u've made a cracking start on ur allotment - wow lots of baked potatoes, SW chips, potato salads coming up - yum yum!

With a patch that size the body magic may be enough to get u both to target without even being on plan eh? (not to mention ur own garden and the treadmill!) My veg plot is the size of a match box in comparison LOL!!

As we've said b4 - it's so easy to fall off the wagon YET SOOO hard to get back on! Well u've made a great start today - well done!!

Glad 2 hear Snoopy's on the mend too. Hope it's easier to stay on plan 2moro (as if it's ever easy!!)

Even if you have a smaller veg patch, it's still going to be lovely eating veg you have grown! I can't wait for that day. I will har potatoes coming out of my ears ;) hehe

Yes soooo hard to get back to it. Although I know LJ is back on the wagon to, we both slipped. Also my friend at work started again yesterday. So it's good to have lots of people in the same boat around, and of course my minimin chums :)

Hi - very late posting - not eaten much today - you might guess that wasn't down to willpower - Poppy saw the consultant again today - her hearing has deteriorated since her previous test 3 weeks ago - did I post that her ability to hear the normal volume of speech can be as low as 0% in one ear and 20% in the other? She lip reads really well. The doctor also said it looks as if she has nerve damage in one ear but he's hoping this is not the case.

Today it was less than 20% in her 'good' ear - that was after 3 weeks of medication & breathing exercises (to try to clear her eustachian tube). So she's going to have an operation in 3-4 weeks - to put grommets in for the 2nd time, remove her tonsils & adenoids to see if that will cure/help - I know it's a common op & not anything like as serious as some children's problems but it has upset us - she's taken it in her stride - aren't kids great!

At least the low food intake might help my WI 2moro - after those Easter treats!!

Sorry to hear about Poppy, as you say kids do take these things in their stride and get better quick. Fingers crossed this operation does the trick for her. They can do amazing things these days can't they.

Morning ladies - I can't quite believe that I've lost 2lbs - isn't losing weight odd? After my choccy treats didn't expect yesterday's low eating day to make a difference - hope CJ's WI goes better than expected and that Mo and Doreen have good days.

Well done!!

I am am a bit behind on reading posts, I'll try and catch up. Sounds like you had a good Easter ;) at least the scales were kind to you.

i decided not to weigh today.. I think it would make me sad lol so I am going to be super good and then weigh next week! I know I should probably weigh to face the truth.. But I don't wanna know yet lol!

There can be such a difference between scales.. I know mine are different depending on where I put the, on the floor. So don't let that get you down.

Mo - just thought - did ur son have hearing probs too - did the op make a difference?

I agree with u not weighing today - what's the point when we won't like the reading - cd easily send me for one into a binge!! I think it's a good idea to have a break - get back on plan and WI when ur ready.

He kept having a percentage loss in hearing and seemed to get a lot of ear infections. I dont remember him ever completely losing hearing in an ear.

It is a worry I know. I had my tonsils out 64 yrs ago in London. Also I had an absesce in my ear.
You had to stay in hospital for a week in those days. My Mum told me for years afterwards how good I was. Only Wed & Sunday visiting too.
Children are so resiliant aren`t they, the parents are the ones that worry more than the child. It is so good Poppy is taking it in her stride. She has been through a lot hasn`t she. Good girl Poppy. Try not to worry too much if you can Upndown. Thinking of you

Good to hear about the allotment CJ. Please pass regards to LJ.

Sorry to hear about you poorly tummy today, hope it is feeling a little better by now.
