Evening all,

What a long old Friday at work that was. Glad for the weekend. The weather is very eerie tonight. All foggy, drizzly and dark. Not sure I'll be doing any gardening this weekend! I came home and did my housework, so the house is all tidy so I can just do nothing all weekend!

Food for today.
Breakfast - Keifer smoothie - Keifer (hexa), spinach, half an apple, banana and berries

Snack - cereal bar (hexb), banana

Lunch - cheese pasta (2syns), sweetcorn, peppers, salad leaves

Snack - 0% fat passion fruit yogurt, cereal bar, banana, jelly baby (0.5 syn)

Tea - chicken, salad leaves, beet root, cucumber, ready mash (4.5syns), mayo (1)

Pudding - banana and ice cream (7syns)

15 syns total.

im hoping I will be less hungry tomorrow.. Surely?? Lol I think it was boredom today.

Yes that Friday evening feeling is great isn't it - just had a thought about hunger - in one of my failed attempts to lose the flab I decided to record how much I ate & how hungry I was feeling - over a couple of months I cd see a fortnightly pattern - of eating lots and 'picking' - yet feeling hungry then 2 weeks of eating less and feeling fuller - I put it down to hormones but who knows??!! I think most of us turn to food for comfort when we're bored too!
 
You did really well in the cafe. There is something about warm melted cheese which makes it so hard to ignore. Well done.
 
Hello. I had 2 rice cakes for supper too. I think you are right, bread is my thing. I think I might have eaten too little before my walk and swim yesterday. Id only had my toast and didnt eat lunch until after swim and getting home at 3.30. I was feeling very shakey and not at all well then. How is the salad challenge going Upndown? You are good taking on these challenges. :)

Just remembered I didn't respond on the challenges - I think I do them to ring the changes - I've been dieting on and off all my adult life (apart from 3 pregnancies!!) so I get bored cos I've done it all before (unsuccessfully!)

The challenges aren't that much tougher than SW red, green or EE days and they're only for a week - and I'm not 100% successful either!! But they've def helped me keep on track & I'm grateful to Kay for all her idea and sorting it all out!!
 
Thx - sounds as if Snoopy's on the mend? I think I'm focussed at the mo cos I'm at my lightest for several years thx to u all and this site!!

I've had a few minor wobbles recently and can't bear the thought of gaining and going back to yo-yoing mode again - I was 14st 2 at my heaviest and it was soooo easy to get there but a flipping marathon task to get to here!!

Also don't fancy going round in the nude - I've either binned or donated my BIG clothes now and can't afford to replace them LOL!!

Just checked out your stats, wow you are doing well! Keep it up! I know I think that's what stopped my off the rails marathon, I was feeling fatter and know how nice is it to feel slim, I didn't want to go back to that.

Snoopy is is all better now :)
 
Ive only been a serial dieter since I gave up smoking about 8 years ago. After that I got the appetite of a horse and I also ate for comfort. I do best when I make home made soup and have that each day. :)

Yes having a pan of soup is a great idea - comforting warm and fills u up and mostly FREE!!
 
Morning all,

Just read something about Alpen bars not being hexb now they have changed recipe!! You can have them if they are 70cals but new ones are 90!

I hope your all having a nice Saturday. I'm having a chilled one! It's nice. Resting up for next weekend! LJ Is coming for the weekend, so I will help her get her new bedroom sorted for when she moves. Lots of sorting to do. We will go and do some more at the allotment to :) so lots of body magic!

Thought I'd write my food for today so far, so I don't forget lol

Lunch - scrambled egg, 2 whole meal toast (hexb +1 syn), bgty bacon rashers, beans and grilled tomato, a little sprinkling of cheese (2syns at the most)

Hello All. Ive done my swimming today with the equivalent to 40 lengths and then a 30 walk. Cj you sound as tough you are having a lovely day and a rest is a good idea with all you have planned for next weekend. We are going away in the motorhome next weekend so I am having 4 days off plan. :)

dont you think that when you actually plan to be off plan, you feel much better about it. Than when you fall off lol

feeling full but might have some ice cream for pudding later (7syns)

Well the sun came out a little bit, so I ventured into the front garden and filled a garden bin bag with weeds! Lots more to do, but it's a work in progress :) I think a little each weekend will get it sorted soon enough.

Yes I heard that too - I like them but I presume there are 'legal' ones available - if I remember I'll ask at SW when I go to join (again) on Tuesday!!

Thx Mo - don't think I cd have done it today - I seem to be hungry all the time - but managed to stay on plan but I've eaten more than usual today.

I keep meaning to post this concoction that I make to satisfy my sweet tooth - others might like it too.

I mix a toffee mullerlight with sweetened quark or fat free fromage frais or ff greek yogurt then add a capful of almond essence, a capful of vanilla essence & stir - then crumble a meringue into it (2.5 syns) then add fruit - my favourite is banana with a HEB of nuts - I had tangerine and pineapple today Mmmmmm - it's making me want another now - may have one as I've got lots of syns left!!

Yes I'm surprised myself - but I've had a few wobbles lately - nothing too bad but concerned I might starting messing about and gaining - I can't bear that thought - I was 14st 2 at my heaviest and it was so easy to get there but so hard to get to where I am now. I think I need a bit of extra support to get to target.

I've heard a few ppl say that's it's harder to maintain than lose - so I think I might do better at club with that stage too. I don't have that much to lose now - so it won't be cost much IF I get to target and stay within 3lbs!!

Yes it is quiet here today - it was sunny with a breeze and a few light showers here so hope everyone had similar weather.

Gosh there's no end to ur energy - ur garden's getting a makeover too!! I've been in the garden most of the day - some of the seed I sowed a few weeks ago needs transplanting - fiddly but satisfying.

Here's how my food went:

B: FF greek yog - with 20g oats (part HEB) and berries

L: SW scotch egg (1.5 syns) salad, chilli sauce (1 syn)

Snack: 30g wm bread toasted (part HEB), 25g reduced fat cheese (part HEA) Marmite and 2 satsumas

T: leftover chicken casserole with carrots, parsnips, cabbage and purple broc
Meringue (2.5 syns) FF from frais mixed with toffee mullerlight, capful of vanilla essence and capful of almond essence and pineapple and a Satsuma

Snack: Meringue (2.5 syns) berries with from frais mix as above

Total syns: 7.5

Drinks: 2.05L water in NAS squash and fruit teas, 1 coffee (milk part HEA)

Exercise: gardening for hours!!
