LJ's Journey to be Slim by Sixty

Yes I'm surprised myself - but I've had a few wobbles lately - nothing too bad but concerned I might starting messing about and gaining - I can't bear that thought - I was 14st 2 at my heaviest and it was so easy to get there but so hard to get to where I am now. I think I need a bit of extra support to get to target.

I've heard a few ppl say that's it's harder to maintain than lose - so I think I might do better at club with that stage too. I don't have that much to lose now - so it won't be cost much IF I get to target and stay within 3lbs!!

that makes sense to me! It is harder the closer you get. I said to LJ to other day, if I could get to about 10st 7 and maintain that for a whole I think I would be happy. I seem to get to my lowest, then my brain goes it ok you can eat junk now..but it doesn't work like that does it!

Afternoon all. Just trying to catch up on the posts.
Had computer problems so could not post. The plug was not in properly. :rolleyes:

First of all Mo I have today started making soup again. I do find it satisfying and it did seem to help before. Good for you keeping up your swimming
Upndown, I binned by bigger clothes too and if I am not careful I will be very short of clothes. I was bored yesterday and turned to food late evening. Part of it I think was because of the medication I was taking, had to stop as I was feeling really weird. It seems to have done the trick because tooth is ok at the moment. I am going to try your pudding too. Not good at keeping meringues without wanting to eat them so will have to look into that.
CJ your Snoopy looks really lovely. Keep up with the gardening and then can you come and do some for me please - after your allotment will do. Seriously those pills made me feel unwell and I found that instead of doing the garden I was either falling asleep in the chair or going to bed. Garden tomorrow hopefully.
Kay I am going to try and have a go at the salad thing too. Will have to look back for that.

Spoke to Andy in NZ. He will be here in 3 months. I really should try and make that an incentive. I doubt myself, maybe a couple of good days then bad. It was lovely talking to him.

Hiya, glad your tooth is feeling a bit better today. Fingers crossed the pain is on it's way out now. I know what you mean about the antibiotics, they have that effect on me. I had a sinus infection and had some, I was sooo tired all the time, I couldn't work it out at the beginning the put it down to those!

take it easy. I was out in the garden again today for a few hours it's a work in progress lol by the time I have finished mine and the allotment I'll be a pro haha

Snoopy must have seen you said that, she's just come and curled up on me practically on my ipad lol

I spent a few hours in the back garden, dug up a few weeds, attacked the giant bramble infestation lol it tries to beat me every year! It gets huge. So I chopped it all back and poured boiling water on its routes... Let's see who wins this year!! Haha so lots of body magic today.

I have been having a sort out in my wardrobe, getting my summery clothes out and putting my big jumpers at the back of the wardrobe. So I am sorted and organised for the week.

Food so far today..

Breakfast - 2 brown toast (hexb and 1 syn), beans. Scrambled egg, bgty bacon rashers, grilled tomato, a sprinkle of cheese. (2syns)

lunch - Keifer smoothie - Keifer (hexa), half a banana, half an apple, half a little tin of peaches, spinach, frozen berries

Tea - I will have pasta, pasta sauce (3 syns), peppers, sweetcorn and salad leaves

Pudding if I want some will be ice cream. (7syns) so will be 13 total.

I feel much better being on plan. Payday weds so will stock up as running low on yummy snacks lol
 
Hello Everyone. I dont think I put my food on yesterday. Everyone seems very busy. Doreen Im so glad your tooth is a bit better. Cj you really are working hard on the gardening. Upndown what day will you go to group?
Saturdays food- 1 toast. Prawn sandwich with a tiny salad with vinegar. Tea- trout with peas and rice with peppers, sweetcorn and peas. a banana. raspberries with mulerlight. 1 rice cake.
Sunday- 40 equivalent lengths swimming then 30 minute walk. 1 toast. mixture roast meats, mashed potato, carrots, peas, spring greens and gravy. Baked beans on toast, banana and mullerlght
 
Good food and exercise day again Mo!!

I'm going to class on Tues morning - I'll weigh more cos I usually get dressed in the buff first thing in the morning so will carry on with home WIs on Minis - but it'll be a good check against scales - hope mine aren't kidding me with a lighter weight!

Yes like everyone - I've been busy too - went to a local horse show with the family - took up most of the day - they took their pony and the girls got a couple of rosettes each so they were chuffed!! Bit of a palaver tho' and I had lots of exercise helping and running around helping with the Ffredi (Poppy insisted on the pony's name being spelt the Welsh way for Freddie!) they also have 2 dogs so walked them a bit too!! Then did more digging in the garden - shattered now!!

Sadly no it doesn't work like that LOL!!

I reckon that ur idea is a good one to maintain at 10st 7 did u mean for a month or a year? At ur height I wd have thought that wd be just right?? Or am I kidding myself cos I've decided on 9st 13 and I'm only 5' 2!!!

For me at 60 - I'm also thinking of Catherine Deneuve's quote "When u get older u have to trade ur ass for ur face"!!!

Lovely food and agree it's good to be on plan - see ur still enjoying the kefir - I shd give it a try!

Just noticed ur only a few pounds from your 10st 7 target - wahey - that must be a lovely feeling!

Yes isn't it good to be wearing lighter clothes? A bonus too if they're in a smaller size!!

If the boiling water doesn't work on the blackberries - u cd either try table salt on the new shoots - they're so persistent aren't they? Or u might fancy training any new shoots onto the fence (if they're near one?) or up supports like canes, wires or a cheap trellis - free food in terms of SW and moneywise!!

Nice to hear from u and glad u've sorted ur tooth out - I think that can be the worst kind of pain - apart from loose plugs eh?

Yes I like to have soup in the fridge - I boiled the chicken bones for stock (don't like doing it but it's tasty!) will make some 2moro - it's free food and filling isn't it?

Yes I'm get short on clothes but don't want to buy more in case I go down another size :fingerscrossed:

Presume Andy is ur son - if so it will be lovely to see him - and great to be a new u!! You've lost more than 2 stone already so that's a big change already!! I enjoyed ur post - good to hear ur news - says the queen of long posts!!

Gosh it's getting late - this will be my last post with my foodie report - but I do like to check up on how everyone's doing!!

B: 30g oats soaked o/night in fat free yog with frozen berries

L: ham and part HEA of cheddar cheese salad no dressing

Snack: half a finger of Twix 3.5 syns :eek: not worth it - it was so small - only had it cos it was leftover!!

T: SW Skinny Lizzie sausage casserole (3 syns for 2 sausage) tin toms, baked beans, carrots, onions, purple broccoli, cabbage and parsnip
Dessert: Meringue - 2.5 syns, pineapple, toffee Mullerlight mixed with quark & vanilla & almond essence, drizzled with a tbsp. of golden syrup - 1 syn

Drinks: 2L water with NAS squash, diet coke, 1 coffee part HEA for milk

Exercise - sorting out horses and walking dogs at show and more digging in the garden

Morning all. We are piling up the pages here. Looks like we are getting some sun today. Washing done, just need to put it out. Then breakfast and go for a walk. One of my neighbours goes to the top of the road and back in 27mins. ? It is a good 3/4 mile each way. I used to walk it when I was training for the race for life some years ago. I feel I have got a bit of an incentive at the moment, ..............
Spoke to NZ and he has booked tickets for Charlie & the Chocolate Factory for 2 dqays before he goes home. They are going to look around London first, I said I would meet them in the late afternoon. Don`t thibnk I can do all that walking. But with a bit of training, who knows. Watch this space.:eek:

not sure I'm so close to my goal the moment, but I'm hoping I'm not to far off when u get on those scales weds! I will see how it feels being 10.7, but I think I could happily stay that weight for a while, then maybe when I can stabilise it a that weight I could try loosing a little more. But I think I would struggle to maintain a lower weight lol

thanks for the blackberry tip! They are everywhere! I found one stalk in the trees that I had to chop it with a saw!! Lol there are some the other side of the garden that I will let grow. It's the ones right along the side of the house on the patio and under the patio door!

You can do it Nanny D! Exercise is definitely addictive, once you've done a few laps to the end of the road and back, you'll find you want to go to the end of the road and a bit further.. :)
 
Good evening all,

Busy busy work day today, but it flew by, so no time to think of food! I came home, had a quick tidy of the house, made tea, now sitting watching tv.. I know I should be on the treadmill or something but not tonight lol

Food today -

breakfast - Keifer smoothie - Keifer (hexa), banana, half an apple, berries, spinach

Snack - cereal bar (hexb)

Lunch - leftover pasta from tea with peppers, sweetcorn, pasta sauce (1.5syns)

Snack - banana and cereal bar (hexb),

Tea - garlic fried potatoes, cheese omelette (max of 5syns cheese), salad, beans, mayo (1syn)

Total so far 7.5

May have some ice cream... (7) I'm a bit addicted hehe I love that I can have that!

upndown good luck at group tomorrow! Let us know how it goes :)
