Lol sorry can't help chuckling at the thought of your O/H coming home to find you having a stare out contest with an upturned mug:giggle:

Aww bless little man, he's at one of those ages I guess where they get insecure about being left with other people

Just noticed the cat in your profile pic looks like a slim double of my mum's mad cat lol Had to leave it outside when I left but a neighbour's gonna let her back in for me. My own cat's glad I'm home and keeps trying to make out it's not been fed all week since it's usually me who feeds him, cheeky thing.

What have I let myself in for - I've decided to try the 30 day squat challenge to coincide with the June weight loss one. I reckon I might have to do them in sets over the day though, 250 in one go on the last day - my a$$ would break

http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-teams-challenges/312407-30-day-squat-challenge.html

At least it can be done in the privacy of my own home lol Just making up some music playlists for my iphone to make it easier, in theory :D

Food diary for Friday (Day 29 Green)

B: Weetabix (hexb), milk (hexa), banana. Apple.

L: Sticky bbq quorn fillets, chilli supernoodles, vegetables.

D: Cheesy chilli potato wedges (hexa) with subway salad (1.5 syns dressing). Mullerlight.

S: Pumpernickel (100g counted as hexb + 3 syns) with 20g peanut butter (6 syns), banana.

WI result = 1lb this week. I sulked for a minute but it's my own fault for Biscuitgate plus eating tea at 10.30 at night yesterday  But got my 1st sticky for my sig so yay we're moving in the right direction.

I've done my first day of squats (Day 1 = 50), did a warm up then 25 squats with leg lifts, had a minute break then did 25 squarts with calf raises then for some reason I was ENJOYING MYSELF and carried on for another 25 squats  Then I did a short cool down then had a bit of a dance about to the music I was listening to. I'm still listening to loads of music now, haven't done this for ages and it's really boosted my mood, so weird to feel so great :D

Hey hun,

1lb is good hun that's 1 extra lb off (and not on :)) you are doing fab and your first stone award that a b***** good achievement in 4 weeks :)

Ha, they are cheeky, yep we have that one, its part ferral so took a while to become friendly, used to hiss at us!! plus one opposite that no one seems to feed so me and mum take turns in buying biscuits for it to eat on our door step.

Good luck with the squat challenge :)

You started on you Pumpernickel bread how was it?

I love listen to music especially stuff I haven't heard in ages :) Hubby was watching a film last night it had Evanescense my immortal, haven't heard it in agessssss.

Ooh that is a pretty song, I've got that one on singstar but it's pretty hard to sing lol I'm letting my inner mosher out to play this avvy with a bit of KoRn and Marilyn Manson :D And some Bloodhound Gang, Lonely Island and Black eyed peas for a weird mix hehe.

My cat reckons it's a dog today, it started spinning round on the spot chasing it's tail while I was sorting out it's food, weirdo lol

Pumpernickel was yum :) I didn't have chance to go to the nice bakery though so got a 'schneider brot' bread basket from morrisons, worked out 4 slices/100g = 9 syns so knocked 6 off as a hexb. Had normal bread today for a bacon butty though, it made more sense some'ow if you know what I mean :p

I'm happy enough with 1st in a month, just need to be careful I don't get my expectations too high and want to lose 1st every month. Think minis should help keep me aiming for more realistic results and doing fitness/exercise challenges aswell as watching lbs go down shares the focus on getting healthly aswell as getting smaller :)

well done on the squatts, doubt I could do that! and 1lb is fab!

Thanks Izzy, I don't know how well I'll do when it gets past 100 a day though - guess we'll have to see! x

Food diary for Saturday (Day 30 RED)

B: Weetabix (hexb), almond milk (from hexa), banana.

L: BBQ salmon fillets (5.5 syns), stir fry veg & spaghetti squash 'noodles' (1 syn)
BBQ salmon stirfry & squash 'noodles'.jpg

D: Tesco pulled pork shoulder, bns mash, grilled chicory (1 syn). Mullerlight.
Pulled pork, chicory & bns mash.jpg

S: Melon, mango & pineapple slices, tofu cheesecake (12 syns), almond latte (from hexa), cheese & grapes (hexa), hifi bar (hexb).

The spaghetti squash was really tasty but didn't go superspaghetti like, I may have undercooked it a little. Chicory isn't very nice, too bitter for me :sigh: Ate it anyway for the superfree. Got one bulb (?) of it left so will look up different ways of cooking it to see if that's any better.

Was buzzing for most of yesterday and did an hour's walk, half of it carrying shopping bags home so a pretty good day of activity :)

Day 2 of squats completed :D It was a little more tiring today with a smidgen of stiffness but not painful. Did just the squats today, concentrating on going lower for more effectiveness. Got round to doing measurements yesterday (should have done those 4 weeks ago at the start) so can check if it shifts any inches by the end of the month :)

embarrassingly my last pregnancy seems to have grown me a nice little varicose vein right at the back of my knee, and it hurts when I kneel so I really couldn't commit to it lol. I really need to pull myself together and make a doctors appointment about it.....

Sounds like you are doing great though, best just take it a day at a time. I am attempting couch to 5k currently and am guilty of looking ahead and worrying about the next week too lol.

I love the black eye peas there song started our wedding night disco :) I was in the toilet trying to get my pregnant friends baby to kick-she had drunk loads of appletise and loads of friends came in to me being on my knees in a b***** big wedding dress and her sitting on a chair with my hands on her growing tummy-classic moment :)

These animals, ours has been asleep on the spare bed all day, came down when she smelt tuna at lunchtime though :)

Glad you liked the bread. God if we knew we could loos a stone each month we would be there :) just a shame weightloss slows down, but will all your squats sure you will be making more muscle, and that burns more cals :) so all going in the right direction :) I put 10lbs for the june challenge, fingers crossed for us both :)

never cooked Chicory, so cant help sorry, think I had some in a Thai restaurant once.

Hey well done on the walking and the squats :) you are doing fab.

Hmmn I've developed one or two varicose veins, though mine are purely down to being too heavy :sigh: Don't suppose there's any point taking mine to the docs until I've lost loads, they don't usually interfere with exercise but they can get pretty painful when lying down, bleddy things

A day at a time is the best way, I dare not thing about Day 30 = 250 squats..... = arrrgh!! lol It is a hard habit to break though, always in a hurry to get further along with things, silly people that we are, the now is never where we want to be lol

Did anyone get a pic of that bathroom scene? :8855:You're right that's definitly classic!

I noticed your friend hippopotamum has also gone for 10lbs, I'll go and say hello and we can make up a three muskateers type group lol

I did another hour's walking today, call me Super Lo :p:giggle: I'm back at circuit class tom'ow after being off for two weeks. The regular guy who leads it is off this week though, hoping the sub isn't too intimidating, it might even be cancelled altogether this week :sigh: I'll do another walk tom'ow anyway 'cause I'll be working until friday after that so it will be harder to fit exercise in then.

Here's hoping I don't come down with Stiff A$$ in the morning after putting in more effort with the squats today :8855:

Food diary for Sunday (Day 31 RED)

B: Bacon and egg butty (hexb), mullerlight & banana.

L: Nando's chicken (2 syns) with subway salad (1.5 syns).

D: Egg foo yung with leftover pulled pork & foo yung sauce (1 syn). Mini twister lolly (2.5 syns)
Pork egg foo yung.jpg

S: Tarte aux pommes Magnum (OMG it's goooood 10.5 syns), cheese & grapes (hexa), koko milk latte (hexa), hifi bar (hexb).

Need to make a packed lunch to eat after circuit class tom'ow. Usually take my son to Mcdonald's on mondays so I'm hoping it's nice weather so we can sit outside with my contraband lunch lol

lol at contraband, Macdonalds should be contraband, full of crap but unfortunately still quite nice now and then.

Super lo it is, I think it suits you!

x

LOl at biscuitgate, I've had a few of those myself

Your food looks lovely, I'm getting stuck in a food rut after only 2.5 weeks, love looking at the pics. I want to try for 10lbs too but that might just be a pipe dream, still onwards and downwards!

Heehee it might give me a big head though lol

I'm not too bad with MDs usually so long as I have an alternative food planned. My weakness would be the milkshakes more than the food, mmmm milkshake

Thanks - Sometimes my food gets a bit samey here and there but I do like trying out new things when I've got the time to cook, I nick ideas off other people's diaries here and there too which helps add variety :D

As for your 10lb target - go for it! There's nothing wrong with aiming high as long as you don't get downhearted if you don't quite make your target :) If you want to join in the semi-official June challenge the thread link is here http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world/318319-june-challenge-i-like-move-move-14.html
If you'd prefer to just make it your individual monthly challenge that's cool, I'd be happy to support you :) xx

P.S Just noticed you're doing JUDDD, hardcore lol How is it?

P.P.S (lol I'm a slow reader) You've done AMAZING getting down to your current weight from 24.5 stone - gives hope to us all with loads to lose. Well done :D

JUDDD is good, but the losses can be painfully slow, and the Up days are as hard to manage as the DD's, all in all I think it's probably best for maintenance rather than big losses, I was doing 4:3 for quite a few weeks, which I found easy at the time but as you can see from my stats, I was losing less than half a pound some weeks, and that got a bit annoying, also I think the big failing of any of the IF plans ( from my own experience) is that it doesn't really help you eat a healthy balanced diet, in fact it can go quite the opposite way, mentally it's tough not eating every other day as well, so I decided I'd rather make a full on commitment diet wise than just part time messing!

I lost the bulk of my weight just counting cals, but the same 2 stone keeps reappearing!

I have to admit to being awestruck when I see some of the stories on here it really is amazing how much some people have managed to lose x

It is lovely 'meeting' people on here who have done so well. It's nice reading about stories in the magazines too but they don't seem as 'real' somehow IYKWIM :)

I can imagine up days being difficult to control - for me personally, with a history of EDs I think they'd trigger some really bad behaviours in me. Maybe that's why some people react badly to the idea of IF (like with your friend frona getting flamed) - they haven't read up on the facts and just assume it's the same thing as an ED.

I'm no good a calorie/point counting either, as it doesn't encourage me to cook or eat healthy foods so sw works well for me :) It's just keeping going that's my problem, when I'm on plan 100% I do brilliantly but if my mood/motivations start slipping I pile the weight back on scarily fast and more usually

Hopefully this time you'll blast that last 2 stone for good :) xx

The God of Books is smiling on me today. Randomly went into a charity shop on the way home from picking up my son from school. Walked in thinking "It would be cool if I could find a Cook Yourself Thin/Gizzy Erskine book in here and lo and behold the very first book I looked at was indeed a CYT one, plus it was in the bargain bin for £1! :D

Also found The Jewish Princess Cookbook, which I'd wanted from amazon for ages, should have been £1.50 but the bloke let me have it for nothing :D Plus got the latest SW mag so I have lots of reading to do for new recipe inspiration.

My circuit class was cancelled, they couldn't get a sub to take it while my trainer is on his hols so I did another hour and a bit of brisk walking, apparently it's gone up to 24-26C in Manc today so I'm sure it was an effective workout. And also Day 3 of the squat challenge = completed.

Today is a great day for me :D Hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday too xxx
